In 1970, Donald MacDonald established Rooter-Man in North Billerica, MA. Through dedication, integrity, and a commitment to addressing plumbing and drain issues, Rooter-Man evolved into one of the largest plumbing, sewer, and drain cleaning firms in the Northeastern U.S. In 1981, Rooter-Man expanded into franchising, choosing only top-tier professionals in the plumbing, sewer, and drain cleaning fields to represent the Rooter-Man brand and adhere to our service standards. Due to remarkable growth and achievements, Rooter-Man now boasts a network of over 480 locations throughout the U.S. and Canada, and has been recognized as the top Franchise Opportunity in the Plumbing, Sewer, and Drain Cleaning Category by Entrepreneur Magazine for a decade (2003-2012). All Rooter-Man franchises are independently run by local owners, providing personalized service to our communities. My wife and I decided to buy an existing Rooter-Man franchise in 2003. With our final savings and our three little girls, we took the plunge. While Brenda was apprehensive, I felt confident due to my extensive background in sewer and drain cleaning. Our growth was gradual as we expanded our territory and personnel, building a team we are proud to call family. Through our efforts, our daughters, and learning from our experiences, we continue to evolve. Over the years, we have benefited from the insights and experiences of fellow franchise owners; it has been fulfilling to be part of such a supportive community. We appreciate the opportunity to serve the public and expand our business as we raise our children.
