In 1970, Donald MacDonald established Rooter-Man in North Billerica, MA. Rooter-Man grew into a major player in the plumbing, sewer, and drain cleaning sector in the Northeastern United States, thanks to our dedication, transparency, and passion for solving customer issues. Rooter-Man began franchising in 1981, selecting only the finest talent in plumbing, sewer, and drain cleaning to operate under our brand and service guidelines. As a result of our tremendous success, Rooter-Man has developed a network of over 480 locations in the U.S. and Canada, and has been honored as the leading Franchise Opportunity in the Plumbing, Sewer, and Drain Cleaning Category by Entrepreneur Magazine for the past ten years (2003-2012). Every Rooter-Man location is locally owned and operated, ensuring community-focused service. My wife and I decided to buy an existing Rooter-Man franchise in 2003. With our final savings and our three little girls, we took the plunge. Brenda felt anxious, but I was assured, having years of experience in sewer and drain cleaning. We grew steadily, increasing our territory and staff, fostering a team that feels like family. With our hard work, our daughters, and lessons learned, we keep progressing. Over the years, we have benefited from the insights and experiences of fellow franchise owners; it has been fulfilling to be part of such a supportive community.
