Rooter-Man came into existence in 1970, established by Donald MacDonald, a CEO and entrepreneur, in North Billerica, Massachusetts. Through dedication, integrity, and a commitment to addressing our customers' plumbing and drain cleaning needs, Rooter-Man has evolved into one of the largest plumbing, sewer, and drain cleaning firms in the Northeastern United States. In 1981, Rooter-Man started franchising, choosing only top-tier professionals in the plumbing, sewer, and drain cleaning fields to operate under the Rooter-Man brand and service standards. Thanks to significant growth and success, Rooter-Man now boasts a network of more than 480 locations across the U.S. and Canada, having been recognized as the top Franchise Opportunity in the Plumbing, Sewer, and Drain Cleaning Category by Entrepreneur Magazine for the last ten years (2003-2012). All Rooter-Man locations are locally owned and run independently. In 2003, my wife and I seized the chance to acquire an existing Rooter-Man franchise. With our last savings and three young daughters, we made the leap. Brenda was nervous, but I remained confident, drawing on my years of experience in sewer and drain cleaning. We developed slowly, broadening our territory and personnel, building a team that feels like family and that we are proud of. Through our efforts, our daughters, and learning from our experiences, we continue to evolve. Over the years, we have benefited from the insights and experiences of fellow franchise owners; it has been fulfilling to be part of such a supportive community willing to share their expertise. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve the public and develop our business while nurturing our children.
