In 1970, Donald MacDonald established Rooter-Man in North Billerica, MA. Through dedication, integrity, and a commitment to addressing plumbing and drain cleaning challenges, Rooter-Man evolved into one of the largest plumbing, sewer, and drain cleaning firms in the Northeastern U.S. The franchising journey for Rooter-Man began in 1981, as we selected only the finest experts in plumbing, sewer, and drain cleaning to carry the Rooter-Man name and follow our service guidelines. Rooter-Man has experienced tremendous growth, resulting in a network of over 480 locations in the U.S. and Canada, and has been honored as the leading Franchise Opportunity in the Plumbing, Sewer, and Drain Cleaning Category by Entrepreneur Magazine for the past ten years (2003-2012). Every Rooter-Man location operates independently and is locally owned. My wife and I took the opportunity to buy a Rooter-Man franchise in 2003. We invested our remaining savings and brought along our three young girls. Brenda felt anxious, but I was assured, having years of experience in sewer and drain cleaning. We expanded gradually, growing our territory and team, creating a family-like atmosphere we cherish. Through our dedication, our daughters, and learning from our experiences, we continue to develop. Throughout the years, we have tapped into the expertise of other franchise owners; it has been gratifying to belong to such a collaborative group. We are grateful for the opportunity to provide service to our community and grow our business while nurturing our children.
