The year 1970 saw the inception of Rooter-Man, thanks to CEO Donald MacDonald in North Billerica, Massachusetts. Rooter-Man grew into a major player in the plumbing, sewer, and drain cleaning sector in the Northeastern United States, fueled by dedication, transparency, and a desire to resolve customer issues. Rooter-Man launched its franchising program in 1981, handpicking the best professionals in plumbing, sewer, and drain cleaning to uphold the Rooter-Man brand and service policies. As a result of outstanding growth, Rooter-Man has developed a network of over 480 locations in the United States and Canada. Rooter-Man has been honored as the leading franchise opportunity in the Plumbing, Sewer, and Drain Cleaning category by Entrepreneur Magazine for a decade (2003-2012). Each Rooter-Man franchise operates independently and is locally owned. In 2003, we had the opportunity to purchase a pre-existing Rooter-Man franchise. With our last savings and three young daughters, we made the leap. Brenda was nervous, but my years of experience in sewer and drain cleaning gave me confidence. We grew steadily, broadening our territory and adding personnel, creating a team that resembles a family. Through our efforts, our daughters, and learning from mistakes, we continue to evolve. Over the years, we have gained insights from fellow franchise owners; it has been fulfilling to be part of such a supportive community. We are thankful for the opportunity to serve the public and expand our business as we raise our children.
