Rooter-Man was founded in 1970 by entrepreneur Donald MacDonald in North Billerica, Massachusetts. Through dedication, integrity, and a commitment to resolving plumbing and drain issues, Rooter-Man evolved into one of the premier plumbing, sewer, and drain cleaning firms in the Northeastern U.S. Rooter-Man started franchising in 1981, handpicking the best professionals in plumbing, sewer, and drain cleaning to uphold our brand and service policies. Rooter-Man has experienced tremendous growth, now operating over 480 locations in the U.S. and Canada, and has been rated the leading franchise opportunity in the Plumbing, Sewer, and Drain Cleaning Category by Entrepreneur Magazine for the past ten years (2003-2012). Each Rooter-Man location is independently owned and operated by local entrepreneurs. In 2003, we had the opportunity to purchase a Rooter-Man franchise that was already established. With our final savings and our three daughters, we took the plunge. Brenda felt anxious, but I remained assured, drawing from my extensive experience in sewer and drain cleaning. We expanded gradually, growing our territory and team, creating a family-like atmosphere we cherish. Through our dedication, our daughters, and trial and error, we persist in our growth. Over the years, we have benefited from the insights and experiences of fellow franchise owners; it has been fulfilling to be part of such a supportive community.
