We paid over $33,000.00 for this service. I want to take this opportunity to point out a few things that have tremendously irritated me about this job. Firstly, we had been billed $3140.00 for sand fill. We had to spend an additional $2500.00 to replace our lawn because the blue tarp and the huge mounds of soil from beneath our home smothered our lawn for well over 1 month. Not only did we have to tolerate huge mounds of dirt surrounding our home for over 1 month which also inconvenienced our next door neighbor, we were not given the option to backfill with sand at the start of the job. It would have been a far more efficient, cleaner operation had the soil been carted away at the start of the job and I would not have had to threaten legal action to make the situation right on the back end of the job due to the huge mounds of dirt that were not backfilled into the trenches. Afterall, this company was not bearing the burden of paying for the sand fill because we have been billed for it. Therefore, we should have been given that option rather than being greatly inconvenienced. We also would not have had to bear an excessive additional expense had our lawn been free of the obstruction because we would have had to only cover the trench after it had been backfilled.
Since the sand fill occurred after a futile attempt to back fill with the original soil had been completed, and the Supervisor was ready to sign off on the job, we lack confidence in the integrity of the sand fill job. Our home has been constructed with an abundance of pilings beneath our foundation, however, the integrity of our foundation has been breached by the tunneling requisite of this plumbing work. Had the sand fill occurred after replacing the plumbing pipes, we would feel far more confident in the structural support beneath our slab. After backfilling the trench in my front yard, sink holes began to form over night because the workers had not packed the soil tightly enough to adequately refill the trench. I fear that we will eventually have to have our home shored as a result of your company's failure to adequately back fill beneath the structure. The workmen from Boh Brothers who were replacing the sewer pipes on my street affirmed my conviction that the sand fill should have been done originally to secure the integrity of the foundation beneath our slab. Our plumber was also appalled with the situation because they had recommended having the pipes replaced by means of tunneling and witnessed what your company had put us through.
Additionally, I wish we had the opportunity to have our own man do our cement repair and brick work. The man sent to do that work did a substandard job. There is not a smooth transition between the original cement carport and the patchwork performed by the man sent to our home. The brick work does not match the original brick work lining our driveway as well. Mortar is all over the bricks and my brick man will have to break up that work in order to redo it, which is another additional expense after already having paid $475.00 for that work, as well as recoating the cement in order to blend the repaired area in better since it is adjacent to our back entrance. We expected those areas to be returned to their original condition because we have an extremely well built home which we routinely maintain. Had we had the option, I would have had my own vendor perform the service to my standard without the additional stress and aggravation.
These matters were handled shabbily and I in good faith could never recommend your service to anyone. I just pray that the job was properly done and that we do not have future problems resulting from this job. Our toilets are still giving us trouble, although not to the same extent as they previously did. Consumers should never be treated the way we were by not having been given options to have the work done to our standards and by not having an English-speaking crew member on site to explain the scope of the work at the end of the day to be performed the next day so that we could better understand the process. We could have participated in the decision making on the sand fill option and the repair options in order to have the finish work completed to our standards. After all, we paid a premium for your service and it did not have to be so extraordinarily stressful throughout the process as well as moving forward. You have little regard for your customers!

First - the good. All of the Rooter Man employees that assisted us were courteous and punctual. In the plumbing business, that says a lot. I've dealt with plumbing companies not answering their phones, showing up late (or on the wrong day), and completely unprofessional techs. Everyone with Rooter Man was fantastic to work with.
The not so good? I do feel like I paid too much over too many visits.
The first tech came out and believed that a bad cartridge was the cause. He proceeded to change & clean out a few of them, and then finally conceded that the problem was larger than he could fix and we would need to schedule a larger job with a ""master plumber."" All in all, what equated to a diagnostic visit, was just over $300.
Next was the actual work to replace pipes and get the problem solved. That was in the ballpark of $2700, which is completely reasonable, but I do think at least a portion of the original ""diagnostic"" visit probably should have been credited towards this cost.
Following the completion of the project, my tenants discovered that the hot water heater wasn't working. Rooter Man - again, excellent customer service team - sent someone out ASAP on a Saturday. I'm grateful for the quick response.
The issue? Their ""master plumber"" who did the work, and/or his assistant, forgot to do something with the breaker and that's why it wouldn't work. Cost for this, along with fixing a dripping pipe that the others somehow missed near the hot water heater was another $150... which nobody ever actually gave me a total on, but I found it charged to my account.
All in all, they did the work satisfactorily, the customer service was great, but I wish I hadn't spent as much on the initial visit OR the final emergency visit to correct what should have been done when everything else was repaired.

I had a vent line installed for a new engraving machine. Not only did they install the line, but they painted it the same color as my fascia so it would detract from the house! Absolutely no mess and done quickly. The office staff notified me when they were 20 minutes away so I wouldn't lose any work time too! Great choice and reasonably priced! Gary my tech explained all the steps! Bravo!

Great experience! Came out same day and got us fixed in no time. Very courteous and professional. No mess left behind. Thanks EJ! You are the man!

These folks are awesome! Professional, prompt, knowledgeable and reasonable. Home grown company who cares about your needs. I will never use anyone else!

Fantastic! Called in the evening and scheduled an appointment the next morning. Quick but thorough service. Jason explained and fixed everything that was going on. Fair price, 30 day warranty on the work. Overall, great experience.

Terrible service.I called on a Sat. morning around 9am.I was told that someone could come around 4:30pm.I was ok with that.No show at4:30 so I waited a little longer and called them back around 6pm and was told that they would be out around 6:30 pm.No show again. I called back around 7:45pm.No answer.Answering machine came on stating that they were closed.i didn't call any other company because I didn't want to have two companies possibly coming out at the same time
I will never call again

I wish I could give the guy that came to the house 5 stars. RooterMan was quick to respond but they only get 2 stars. The price they quoted was truly ridiculous. To run a new gas line they said it would be just over $6,300 with no new hot water heater and if I were to get a new hot water heater it would be just over $9,000. When I called to ask why such a high price the girl who answered the phone said, well the difference between no water heater and a new water heater is bc a new water heater is $2,900. My mouth dropped to the floor. I told her thank and hung up the phone. I knew that a new water heater DID NOT cost that much. I did search on on of the big retailers sigh in New Orleans and the was heater ran between $500 and $800. I know that you won't post my review because you will lose money. Whenever a service company comes out to my house and does and good job and gives me a fair price I ALWAYS recommend them to friends and family. I not sorry to say this but RooterMan will NEVER get my business nor any of my family and friends business. I will keep the paper quote you gave me and will show it to others.

Very poor service, rip off artist at best. Stay clear. Asked for an inspection to replace 1 toiler Valve and repair 2 shower stems, the guy wanted $800 for this?? Even that being said, I never received the email quote I was promised or the follow up call from the rooter man office.

I've done a lot of work with these people, both for my personal home and rental properties, Great office staff, the guys are awesome. Roni and her team have really nailed it!
