They are a total rip off!!!! I live in Hawaii and rent my house out in Placerville. They came out to unclog a pipe and said they need to put in a new clean out for $1800!!!!!! So not true, Conforti came out and unplugged it for $200. Rooter man charged my card $375 for doing nothing and was so totally rude when I said I was disputing their charge. I really can't say enough BAD about these people!!!!!

Called within 10 minutes of flooding in our house from a backed up pipe. I asked how soon they could come out as I had hard wood floors with water all over them. They said they would be there in an hour. Two hours later I called them to check and they said they were still on a job but would be out shortly, called repeatedly and was told the same thing 6 hours later they told us ""THEY WEREN'T COMING AT ALL"". What terrible service, if they had been honest we would have had another service out then after all our waiting ALL DAY, they bail. Horrible!

This company cannot deliver what they promise. We called Xmas Eve and Xmas Day, but were not surprised that we couldn't reach anyone. We called after the holiday, and they said they would be out in about 1-1/2 hours. No show. Called back in 2 1/2 hours, and they said they were very busy, but would call when the repairman was on his way. It is now 8 hours later, and we have not heard from them. We finally tried their competition, who showed up and fixed our problem in 20 minutes. I guess our problem was too small for Rooter Man to bother with us.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from these incompetent thieves! I had a small partial root blockage at the septic inlet, they took three trips over two days to find the problem and root it out. A 30 minute job max. for this they charged me $2230.00. An expensive lesson indeed

The grandson stopped up a toilet, which I suspected was his underpants because I could normally plunge it myself. So I called Rooterman because they should have a rooter, and Jeff came out but he did not have a rooter, because his boss took it, and he plunged, like I did, and it did not work, like it didn't when I tried, so he said someone else would come out the next day. But he did not charge me any money, which I said I would pay for his gas, but he was good on that. So the next day another unnamed person came out and estimated $205.00 for the job, and he had a snake, and within a minute the clog was cleared and I was actually relieved to pay the $205.00 thinking that the whole toilet would have to be dissembled. So it is mixed emotions. $205.00 dollars is too much for what they did, but I am happy to have the problem solved, and they could have had a lot more work to do, so I guess I am happy. I previously called on them for a large drain problem, backing up the entire septic system, and they came, without a rooter, but then they came back with a rooter, and cleared the clog. So I have mixed emotions here. I guess they can do the work, but it may take a couple of trips, and it appears that just because they say rooterman, they may not have a rooter, but have to go somewhere to get one. I give them the benefit of the doubt, for three stars.

My hot water went out and I called around and was told it would be about 130 dollars to fix it so I made an appointment with Rooter-Man to get the job done because he was local. When he got there I was quoted 425 with 10% making it 382.50. I assumed there was a mistake so I let him know that it should be around 130 because I was quoted that with many other companies. He went outside, called his boss, and then let me know he would take off $50. I told him that it was still much too high based on other estimates, so he left. Not five minutes later he came back and offered to do it for $150.

I understand that companies can charge whatever price they'd like and maybe his company is a bit pricier. However! If he were willing to do it that low why would he have ever quoted me $425 in the first place. I really feel like this company was trying to rip me off because if their prices were standard at that high they NEVER would have come down that low. I would definitely get other estimates from other companies and ensure that is what you pay if you do decide to utilize Rooter-Man! This was not ethical and I am very disappointed.

I highly reccomend not to use this company for your plumbing needs. Not only do they show up late, but they damaged carpets and still didnt repair what they were hired to do. Their prices are outrageous and the lack of customer service is enough to turn a prospective client away. Their communication is lacking and they do not fulfill what their website promises. Highly dissapointed and wouldnt even give 1 star. Word of mouth is not positive for them..

Not a good choice. showed up late and left a huge mess. If you want someone to take your money and run then you found them.
