My toilet backed up, would not plunge I called rooter hero, and they came out to inspect, they said that the lines under the house were clogged with roots, and were plugged with rust, and that all would need to be replaced, so what can I do,? Let the pro fix it. It took one week, they didn't show up to work until between 9 and 11 each day .they had to make numerous trips to home depot for supplies, at one point they installed a clean out for a line that doesn't exist. Long story short,, I'm on the hook for 11,600 dollars, for a toilet that only flushes with liquid waste, solids still needs to be plunged, when I complained about it to the worker all I got was a blank stare. Rooter Hero is total rip off.

Just want to give everyone a warning based on our experience with Rooter Hero in Santa Monica on 12/20/23. Our new tenant of two weeks had a backed up toilet and called Rooter Hero based on their advertised $77 to clear a drain. The technician tells tenant they can only hydro-jet the main line, at a cost of $577. My tenant calls me and I tell technician there is a clean out just outside of the bathroom and ask why he can't snake the line from there. He tells me the same thing, they can only hydro-jet the main line which I tell him is absurd. So we called another company who came an hour later and snaked the line and cleared the clog.
The supervisor left me a message saying his technician ""couldn't do the work due to the rain"". I responded by text saying he should try a better excuse than that. We spoke and he said it must have been a miscommunication. It was not. My tenant and I heard the same thing.
I then got a call from Rooter Hero's general manager who listened to my story and offered to reimburse me for what I paid to the other company and use this as a lesson in his training session next week. I declined his reimbursement offer and said I needed to share my experience so others less knowledgeable of plumbing, and anxious for a quick resolution of their problem, would be less likely to be preyed on by companies that employ ""unscrupulous business practices"". As the general manager said, ""treat a customer right and you have a customer for life"". I fully agreed with him and responded that, when you don't, you deserve a review like this.
My advice: Check Better Business Bureau written reviews (not just the rating), along with other sources, when deciding on a plumber. If you're at all uncomfortable with what they are recommending, send them away and call another company. You'll likely save yourself a lot of headaches, and money!

Bait and switch alert!!! I called Rooter Heroes to have my tub drain cleaned out. They said they have a $77 special. See picture. They said as long the drain is accessible. I said yes it's the tub and fully accessible. Will there be any other charges or is it a fixed 77 to clear out the hair and sand from my tub. They said only ""$77"".
When they get here they say it's $175!!! They said the special is in drain cleaning not tubs. I told them I specifically told the rep it was a tub drain and she said ""yes, it applies"". I waited on a Friday afternoon and they pulled this bait and switch. I called them back and they said ""it's usually $275, we know the person who came out quoted you $175, we can do it for $125"". I sent them packing. I hate bait and switch and it's a low integrity practice.

My recent encounter with Rooter Hero Plumbing was a complete nightmare. Their prices were shockingly high, taking advantage of the urgency of the clogged drain of my tenant. When he tired the hydrojet it didn't work even though they assured me it would, so I said I don't pay for unfinished work and the man got in my face and started yelling at me and threatened to put a lien on my house. I had to de-escalate him and reminded him to act professionally. Eventually, the drain was opened, but the unprofessionalism, intimidation, and exorbitant charges make Rooter Hero Plumbing a service to avoid. It was a distressing experience that left me questioning the ethics and professionalism of this so-called ""heroic"" plumbing service. Don't do it, go elsewhere.

Incredibly overpriced. Was quoted prices including ""parts"" for a dishwasher install when tech acknowledged we possessed all parts. Tech didn't feel comfortable with idea of having to put in an air gap, which is part of plumbing work, and had to contact supervisor to see if this was something they could do. Needless to say we didn't utilize their services.

Called up rooter hero to fix a backed up toilet issue and they ran a camera and recommended a $4200 deacaling job. Had another plumber come out with a camera and the original recommendation from rooter hero was completely incorrect information and would not have even addressed the proper issue. Strand Plumbing was able to decale the proper area and did it for $800. Stay away from Rooter Hero they are just trying to take advantage of you.

Just disappointed at how much money they wanted to charge me to unclog a kitchen sink. A young guy showed up with a hand held snake, pretended to snake my drain, of course nothing was done and he recommended a $2000. (Two thousand dollars) hydro jet job. I called an other plumber who snaked my drain for $90. ( ninety dollars). And its been fine for over a year, looks like the two thousand dollars hydro jet job was just for their benefit. I do not recommend these people,

Did mainline sewer work for me. There were some issues with the job and they came back and made it right. They were responsive to the issues. Special thanks to Robert/Roberto for coming up with the right solutions.

My experience with Rooter Hero can simply be described as disappointing. It was a routine service call that I make yearly with the purpose of trimming root growth in main drain line. Over the years this maintenance service has prevented undesirable and disruptive drain stoppages which result in aggravation for my tenants. After the arrival of the technician, I had to explain the nature of the service call even after already explaining it to the dispatcher earlier. The service call was very clear yet he went through some unrelated motions to check the water pressure of our building, the age of our water heaters, the water pH and the presence of minerals in our water. Clearly he came to sell something that I did not need. When it came to running the snake, I asked him to use the 4""-6"" adjustable blade, yet he argued to use a 2"" cutter blade knowing very well that the diameter of the drain was at least twice as large. He acknowledged that the 2"" blade would not trim my roots and that I should purchase from Rooter Hero an $1,100.00 hydro-jetting service for my 70 year old frail pipes. If there is a licensed plumber whose primary line of work is main drain clearing and has a 50' to 75' power drain auger please call: 323-300-4251

I called Rooter Hero based off of a recommendation of a friend. They were very quick and efficient with their response time and scheduling. I met Eddie and he was very professional, very knowledgeable and very helpful. He came the next day to complete the repair with another plumber named Gio. They were again very professional and patient as I was multitasking. Thank you for your help and I will be calling again should the need arise.
