Outrageously expensive! They wanted to charge me $269 to replace to replace a rubber flapper and fluid mater floater. The parts at Home Dept would only cost you between $25-30 dollars. The job would only take about 20 mins and the issue was not urgent. I refused to pay that much.

By the way Fluidmaster manufacturer will warranty their parts for 5 years if you buy them from Home Depot as indicated on their box.

Rooter Hero also only warranties their work for 1 year. Lol.

My scenario: It was Saturday afternoon. I wanted to get the guts replaced in my toilet without having to make a trip to Home Depot. I called them the representative was friendly and courteous. I told them the issue was not urgent and wanted to get an estimate over the phone. They will not give you an estimate over the phone even if you tell the exactly what you want. They will only give you a free no obligation quote in person and arrive promptly even if the issue is not urgent.

The technician showed up an 1.5 hours later as they promised from the customer service rep.

The technician was dressed professionally, very clean, and wore shoe covers before the plumber walked in my home. They come with iPads to show you your options. Be prepared to over pay if you use them.

I would not recommend using them based on their outrageous prices.

My free time is really limited and so I made an appointment several days in advance to snake a drain. Sure enough, they never showed up. Never called. I called in the morning to follow up and they said someone would be here within the hour. No show again. These guys are off the list for me.

The long Labor Day weekend started by the discovery of a heavily leaking pipe on the outside of the house. Based on prior Yelp reviews, Rooter Hero was contacted. They advised someone could be there to fix the problem in a short amount of time.
Tino was the plumber assigned and performed a fantastic job! He was professional, courteous, and prior to any procedure, would check with me and fully inform what was being completed.
Great service and will definitely use Rooter Hero again.

TLDR: long, costly headache caused by workers doing work they weren't qualified to do.

My problem started when I noticed a foul odor coming out of my kitchen sink in the back of the house. The sink drain pipe runs under the house slab. I called Rooter Hero to take a look. They scoped the pipe and found that it had a downward bowing called a ""belly."" This allowed water and waste to collect there and rot. To correct the problem they suggested a new drain pipe out the back, along the back of the house, down the side, and connecting to the front drain outlet. They quoted 3 days, $13,500. I had already paid $500 for the inspection, scoping and estimate. Unfortunately, I did not check Yelp and I signed up.

More than a month later, this is what I ended up with:

* A support beam that was cut through -- a serious repair.
* A dining room wall that had to be replastered -- twice.
* Paving stones on the side of the house that had to be relayed -- twice.
* A new pipe that had a belly, and a new attempt to fix that.

And when it was finally done, more than 4 weeks later, it still had a belly. I've given up and lost all confidence in Rooter Hero.

They don't know what they can and can't do, and they don't bring in outside contractors when needed to do woodwork and plastering.

I can't completely blame the workers because they were sent to do work they obviously didn't specialize in. Rooter Hero tries to have plumbers do things they shouldn't do to control costs.

And finally, they overestimate their abilities. I recommend that if you do use them, keep it simple. Stick to clogged sinks and maybe toilets. Good luck.

Oh yes, I did give them 1 star because they at least kept trying until I couldn't take it anymore. And they knocked $1000 off the price to $12,500. Not worth the high headache.

My kitchen drain blocked and when I called someone called back me in 30 minutes to schedule service. The technician, Matthew, came on time and fixed this fast with a suitable snake for kitchen drain.
Usually I had problem with the rooters that they didn't have suitable snake (suitable diameter and long enough)

Just waited a couple hours for the plumber to show up. When he finally arrived he wanted $700 to set 2 toilets and install a kitchen faucet. He agreed it was an hour of work, there is no way i would ever pay anyone $700 an hour for labor. NEXT

We received a flyer through the mail and decided to call Rooter Hero when our kitchen sink started backing up. They scheduled and appointment and called twice the same day to reschedule. We decided to have them come the next day and they gave us another window. That window came and went without a phone call. We called them back only to have the person reschedule yet again. When we told the person on the phone that we just wanted to cancel and call someone else, we didn't even receive an apology, she just hung up on us. We were NOT rude nor did we even raise our voices once so there was no reason to just hang up on us. The customer service is so poor and the communication is absolutely appalling. I don't know how people like this stay in business. Everyone who gave a five star rating is very lucky to have had someone actually show up to a scheduled appointment.

Jonathan and Donald solved my plumbing problems when other plumbers had failed. Professional, same day service and they came on time which is a rarity with many other companies. Really appreciate having functional bathrooms again.

Thank you to EDWIN FIERROS, Service Technician, San Fernando Valley!!! Edwin FIerros paid us a working visit up here in Port Hueneme today and deserves top recognition for all the following; he is: Professional, kind, approachable, confident, communicative and just has a good demeanor about him. He patiently listened to our hard luck story, empathized and got to work. After he tried a few things, he stated: ""There's nothing wrong!"" WHAT!? The refrigerator delivery person told us that unless we voided our warranty, he would not hook up our brand new refrigerator, let alone unhook our old one with the hose or valve problem because of liability risk if something went wrong. So great, we needed a Plummer ASAP!! We could not get a plumber in fast enough in hopes of getting out the old and our food in the new. I called at least four different places, and Rooter Hero was on top of it the fastest. That's when EDWIN came over! WOW!!! All those great work ethics and integrity, too!! He could have done what unfortunately too many do, replaced a part not needed and gouge to boot. But not Edwin. He even said, ""I'm so glad that you did not have to pay money out, and I hope you can get your new refrigerator in very soon.""
I would like you all to know that you can most assuredly trust Rooter Hero's Service Technician EDWIN FIERROS!!! He's THE BEST!!!
