I wish I had read the reviews before calling Rooter Hero. While they were quick to send a tech, the experience left me disappointed. They charged a $79 service fee just to show up, then tried to upsell me with a $350 charge to open up drywall to ""see the problem."" After some negotiation and a pushed-on-me ""first responder discount,"" I paid $154--only to be told I absolutely needed a new flange. The original verbal quote was over $3,000, later ""discounted"" to $2,000+, but they didn't even remove the toilet to confirm if the flange was necessary.

The ""senior"" tech (who seemed eager to mention his title repeatedly) was personable, but the outrageous quotes felt like a tactic. I ended up calling another licensed plumber who replaced the wax seal, inspected the flange, and reinstalled the toilet--all for $190.

Rooter Hero's friendly tech was overshadowed by what felt like a rip-off from their office. Save yourself the time and money--look elsewhere. Buyer beware!

They tried to get me to ""clear"" my lines that I am now having replaced. This would have been complete and total loss of the thousands of dollars they tried to charge me.

I had an issue with my sewerage and drain pipe, so I called different companies for estimates. I'm very glad I chose Rooter Hero - they are truly heroes.

David was the first who came and checked what was wrong and what needed to be done. I was pleasantly surprised to see him wearing disposable shoe covers.

After diagnosing the issue, I asked if we needed a permit from the city. He not only suggested it but also explained why: the city would add a note in their system, and an inspector would come to ensure the job was done correctly.

No other company mentioned the need for a permit, even when I insisted.

The day came when those same heroes returned to do the job!

Albert and Victor worked very hard all day to replace all the pipes under my house and finished the same day.

A little later, Mickey and Martin arrived. Mickey handled the laundry connector, and Martin took care of the kitchen line.

The entire team worked professionally and quickly, and they cleaned up everything after finishing the job.

I highly recommend Rooter Hero because they are truly heroes!

I just had a toilet fixed and a new garbage disposal installed. My technician, Cole Colvin, was a joy to work with. He was friendly and pleasant and very knowledgeable. He explained everything and his work was very fast and unintrusive. I will definitely use Rooter Hero again and I hope they send out Cole Colvin to take care of my issues.

Never call that company! They will act like your best friend and then charge you more than double what any other plumber would charge.
They supposedly attempted to cable out the main sewer line, but said that they cannot get it to clear. They came back with an other technician to inspect the drain with a camera and guess what, the screen turns black so they have to use the hydro jetter to solve the problem. They call again the dispatching, $1,999 to unclog the main drain with the hydro jetter. After negotiation I accepted $1,615. It take them 15 minutes all in to unclog the drain.

Our church in the San Gabriel Valley had a clogged toile, which affected our entire plum system. Rooter Hero Plumbing came out. They did a free inspection and explained that they would need to dive in to figure out the problem. They were there for two full days and couldn't fix the issue and wanted to charged $16k. We released them from the job and found a local plumber who repaired our issue within two hours for under $600.00. Never again.

Had an issue with my salon shampoo bowl hardware last Thursday. Plumber came to my shop in about two hours. He came in and assessed the situation and then went back into his van for 30 minutes. I thought he was making his hardware compatible with the shampoo bowl or something to that affect. He came back in, quoted me $900 to be completed Saturday. I could have purchased an entirely new shampoo basin and chair for less than that. I said no thanks.
Anyway, I ordered parts on Amazon Thursday afternoon for $70 and they arrived Friday AM around 7:30am. Put them in myself in 20 minutes.

I needed our kitchen sink unplugged. I was told on the phone they were running a $77 unclog special. There were no other stipulations mentioned when I booked the appointment. After missing the first two windows of time to repair the sink, the plumber came out the next day. I wasn't on the premises but my nephew handed me the phone to talk with the plumber. The plumber said I didn't have proper access to honor the coupon so it would be $325. He said the details were on the coupon which stated I needed to have proper access (proper access is a cleanout). The whole neighborhood is about 60 years old and I'm sure cleanouts weren't part of the code at the time. Regardless, I had completely cleaned out under the sink so he had easy access to snake the clog (see picture). He wouldn't budge on the price since I didn't meet the qualifications. I was offsite and reluctantly agreed. Later, I printed the coupon and it read ""with proper access"". Basically, that can be interpreted anyway they want so they can upsell you from $77 to $325. The job took about 1/2 hour and he snaked about 25 feet. Don't use this company. They're a classic bait and switch operation. There are other ethical plumbers out there that won't rip you off.

I bought a shower head and some bathtub fixtures and since I wanted it done right, I called Rooter Hero. They said a technician will come to my house to provide an estimate at 9 AM on Monday. He finally showed up at 2 PM. He looked at my bathtub and the fixtures I had bought, said he would have to call the office... his estimate? To replace the shower head alone which I had already bought he was asking for $750!!!! If I wanted to dial to be replaced he said it'll be more.
To take advantage of a senior citizen who lives alone with her dog is criminal! Don't give them your business!!!!
