I called Rooter Hero and while it was nice that they sent a tech out free of charge, their estimate provided to fix the problem was complete robbery.

I complained that our kitchen faucet had been making a funny whining noise. In 5 min, the tech said that there was sediment build up and that I needed to replace the entire faucet. He said he could give me an estimate for the piece and labor, but I said I would provide the piece..... I almost choked when the estimate was for $430.00 to do the work!

I ended up calling another service who upfront told me the cost to swap out the faucet would be $150. Come to find out, I only needed a replacement nozzle and the cost is $40. AND i can do it myself. The Rooter tech never did anything more than run the water. Total crooks

Toilet would not flush. Rooter Hero Plumbing came out promptly and diagnosed a main sewer line plug and cleared the line.Had a coupon and the cost was only $77. Great service and excellent value.

Awesome Service by Mr Francisco technician, the HVAC tech specialist from Rooter Hero Plumbing and Air of San Jose

Francisco educated and made me aware of the super beneficial Annual Hero Club Rooter Hero Club combo membership (Plumbing + HVAC)

Paid 270 for a year and got all the fabulous benefits membership comes with. There's nothing like it. Note I am the family member of the Rooter Hero with Priority calling, Priority scheduling and Priority Appointment service, all top of the line!!

Francisco worked very hard in detail to clean the choking Condenser outside unit Vents / Coils/ Capacitor / mounted Condenser and Wallah. The outside unit now shines

Francisco then went under the crawl space, and he installed the brand new insulation cover on all the A/C Condensation and Copper line sets followed by metal tapping and strapping to current codes. He even checked the R22 freon gas refrigerant and ensured pressure was adequate, and volume in pounds filing in the A/C line was UP to the mark, and no major recharge required for R22 refilling. That was super cool off Francisco.

Francisco then performed the deep HVAC Cleaning by vacuuming the entire Gas propelled Furnace, clean up all the burners, check for the CO2 Gas leak, ensuring the Electronic cartridge filters baskets were not clogged at all and furnace was all in the great condition.

Francisco also climbed into the house Attic space, check the Air Ducts as well and ensure there are no possible outliers / anomalies w.r.t ducts being dirty and free of smoke, debris, Air pollutants, rodents debris etc No major AIR DUCT CLEANING IS REQUIRED, that was a very good signature.

I was overall impressed with Francisco HVAc tech deep knowledge about the entire Heating and Chilling unit operation, functionality, logistics, and appliance mode of operation.

Francisco is the JEM OF JEWEL, and I was blessed to have him on board to take care of my home HVAC SYSTEM.

Mr Francisco is my now go-to HVAC guy, and I am not even looking for any other tech as long as Francisco is with Rooter Hero.

ROOTER Hero Plumbing and Air of South Bay is the way to go and I can not say much enough about them other than they are strongly interested recommended and available 24/7/365, day / night doesn't matter.

For any of the household plumbing and HVAC needs, the Rooter Hero of the way to go!!

Called early in the morning stating I had a clogged sink drain line that I couldn't clear with a drain snake. I received a prompt response saying the would be to my house about 5:00pm. Around 5 I received a call saying they were an hour out. No problem. They showed up about 6:30 apologizing for the delay and said they would provide free video for the delay. At the time I didn't realize that was actually was about a $300 ""gift"". This plus the curtesy and professionalism of the representative is why I give them 2 stars.
After about 15 min the rep confirmed there was a blockage and it appeared to be grease. The prescribed solution was a hydrojet procedure for a mere $1600. I figured, it is what it is and was ready to proceed. The rep went out to his truck to order the required support and equipment. In the meantime I went online to research hydrojet and found the typical cost was $300 - 600 for my area. I went and pointed this out to the rep, but he would not reconsider. As a result I decided not to move forward and paid him for the $ 77 for the drain cleaner although he really did not clean/clear my drain.
The end result is I called a local plumber who came out, on time, and used a hydrojet to clean my line in under an hour for $300.

DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!!! I got scammed!

I'll be 100% reporting them to BBB and reporting them to the county.

I chose them first because they offered a $77 coupon for a drain snake service. They ended up charging me $77 and didn't even clear the clog! They said the paperwork I signed said they would be paid whether they were able to drain the clog or not! They ended up with 2 technicians at my house for over 3.5 hours and again didn't clear the clog!

On top of that they gave me a high quote of over $2,200 for hydro jetting service and an additional quote for over $16.5K to do a spray on epoxy coating. That's almost $19K just to clear my clogged drain. Oh, they gave me an $1,800 senior/military discount which would have made the quote over $20k without it.

Their assessment of my drain and the subsequent estimates made me panic. I was at a loss for words. I just couldn't believe it! I actually put a call into my home insurance company to see what they might be able to cover. The insurance agent advised that I make sure the company was legitimate because far too often customer are doing an overhaul on their pipes when they didn't need to.

Thank God, I listened to the advice of my insurance, looked over their reviews, got a few more plumbing quotes and wasn't bamboozled by this company.

I highly advice that you get several quotes before you consider using this company!

If I ever see their truck, I'm going to let the homeowner know that they are about to be scammed!

Picked ""Rooter Hero"" because they were close to the house and offered a $77 coupon for a drain snake service. Had a slow bath drain that needed a quick clearing. Once the Tech arrived he told me it would be $327 because he needed to disconnect the P-Trap to access and snake the drain! . Ridiculous (I wasn't there to unscrew and reconnect it.) Then after he left we were putting everything back in the vanity and a new drip had started under the sink. Called him back and he said he can't come back for 3 days, wasn't and would probably need to charge again. We ended up replacing the faucet for cheaper than having him come back. . Scam. Feel screwed. Look elsewhere.

Called expressly for a camera inspection for a basement unit. I was advised that the cost of the camera and fix would be estimated by the Tech. There could be many sources for the water intrusion so the source was unclear. I was given a window of 9 - 11am. I was there at 9am. I got a text at 8:57 stating that the Tech was leaving. I expected no more than a 20 minute wait. I texted back several times (okay to text back per Rooter Hero's text). After 45 minutes, I called, only to be told it was going to be another 45 minutes. I was sitting around for 20 minutes (though I drove in early to be there at 9AM). The Tech arrived at 10:30am and WITHOUT the necessary camera. The Tech, Alex, said a camera was needed to figure out of the leak. This was a total bust and waste of time. I had coordinated with the upstairs tenant and basement tenant for the inspection. This company is so unprofessional and lacks customer service. They have absolute no respect of the customer's time and cannot follow simple instructions (being a camera inspection to find out what needs fixing). I will not be calling them again for a second appointment. Would you want to hire an unreliable company who cannot follow through with the basics?

We've called on Rooter Hero twice in the last few months. Both times on a Sunday, both times with house guests making a quick fix even more important. Rooter responded quickly both times, arriving within a couple of hours. We live in Sonoma, which is far from all service people, so 2 hours is fast service. Both times they quickly fixed the issue and clearly explained what had happened and why. Both service-people were friendly, easy to work with, and worked quickly. I highly recommend Rooter Hero!

when household water started coming back up the drains we knew we needed somebody asap and could not wait until the next week. Rooter Hero came out within a few hours and cleared our pipes with a snake. both servicemen who came out were very friendly, polite and knowledgeable.

I called Rooter Hero in October about a tub that wasn't draining, Ethan was the plumber on call and came by with a snake within an hour. He reported a blockage that he couldn't ""get through"" and called his ""supervisor"" Braeden, who came by and after looking at our pipes recommended a ""whole house redrain"" of all of our horizontal pipes. They told us that any blocked drain was considered an emergency and that we should repipe our whole house starting the next morning.
They supposedly called their manager and got us ""special"" pricing for $20,000 to do the work. They also convinced us to sign away any prospect of cancelling the work before getting an additional quote from another company. The work was completed within a single day, which I thought was suspect. And then they came back to inspect the work and told us that we needed an additional $15,000 of work to repair the drain pipe going to the sewer, using an epoxy to seal the pipe instead of digging it up. This time I got another plumbing company to come in and give me their opinion whether this work was needed.
A plumber with 16 years of experience from another plumbing company told me that we DO NOT need to do this work, that we won't need to do any work for at least another 5 years, and a repair like that shouldn't cost more than $7000-8000. Not $15,000. He was also shocked that the piping work that was done cost me $20,000.

I'm a first-time house owner and I trusted y Rooter Hero to provide me with the service that I needed. And I ended up with a bloated invoice for $20,000 worth of work that I doubt was even necessary!
I am very unhappy, to say the least.
I see other customers of Rooter Hero reporting quotes and invoices on Yelp and Google that conveniently seem to match that $20,000 number that I was quoted and invoiced, but thankfully they got another opinion before they went ahead with the work that Rooter Hero was trying to pressure them into.
A terrible experience all around. High pressure sales. Customers beware.
