First, I would like to mention that I'm speaking on behalf of my mother. We had a pipe burst underneath our house which cause six inches of water to settle. Who knows how long it was there. The point is it's started smelling like a sewer in the house. We called a restoration company to have it cleaned out. Now the house smells like roses.

We were referred to this company to have our pipe fixed. The person who gave us a quote to fix the pipe gave us two options. He stated in his work order that the tech needed to ""break through the concrete to reach the broken pipe."" If you refer to the picture you can see all the details of the ""work"" that needed to be done.

Once the work order was completed he quoted us first at $8300 dollars and the second quote at $15,465!!!!!

Obviously this was complete utter bullshit. So I went down under the house myself and found exactly where the leak was coming from. There IS NO CONCREATE UNDER THE HOUSE! It's fucking SOIL. I don't know what bullshit this company is playing, but it's obviously FRAUDULENT. I wouldnt be surprised if they charged someone else a ridiculous amount of money for a simple repair.

I will be reporting this company to the Contractor State License Board of California.

Look closely as the work order. The final estimate was 7300. It states in the work order that the deposit shall not EXCEED 10 percent. 10 percent of 7300 is $730. They wrote in the work order a 1000 dollar deposit!!!!

I had Mario come out from Rooter Hero Plumbing of San Jose and job well done! My window was on a Saturday from 10:00 - 12:00 he showed up around 11:30 and I did not pay extra because of a Saturday service call. He Snaked my clog sink, recommended what not to put in the sink 45 minutes he was done and cleaned up afterwards. All for $77 w/Coupon. Happy Customer!

This company is the very best. We called them at 10:30 pm on a Friday night because of a sewer line collapse. They came out quickly and determined, with camera proof, that my sewer line had to be replaced. I know they were being honest because this was not a new problem. They gave me a an extremely reasonable up-front estimate for trenchless replacement, waived their initial emergency service fee and their crew was back the next morning to do the work. They did the work quickly, got the permit complete and left the driveway better than they found it two days later. Mario and his crew were polite, friendly and professional. The area manager, Giovanni, is the nicest guy you will ever meet. He worked with me on filing an insurance claim and was very patient in waiting for payment. Most any other company would have taken advantage of the emergency situation we were in, but Giovanni at Rooter Hero did not. They are excellent plumbers who can do anything and are great guys as well. I know others have written negative reviews about this company but I can't adequately express how much I know otherwise and I will be a loyal customer in the years ahead. It isn't often you are treated so fairly and well by plumbers or any service workers for that matter, but these guys will do just that. I highly recommend them.

These guys came to our house to unclog our sewer line. They worked at it for two hours, then claimed that the line has collapsed. They gave me a few options, the CHEAPEST of which was $3500!! They were so cool, since they thought that had me by you-know-where on a Saturday evening.

The short end of it: I got another plumber, this time an honest one, clear the clog in 30 minutes. It cost me LESS THAN ONE TENTH of what these guys were scamming me for.

NEVER, NEVER, NEVER hire these guys!

Great experience! called on Saturday morning for a kitchen drain issue... critical as I was having guest for dinner!!!! spoke with Jackie.. the best! she juggled the technicians around and they made it to our home exactly on the agreed to time. Adrian was very polite and professional ... used the electric snake.. cleared the problem ... all is good. The best $49 coupon on line. Would certainly use them again.

Called for a leaky sink drain. They were prompt and polite.
But, they could not snake the sink, moved the blockage around (blocking another sink) and told me that likely the pipes were broken because the house is old, and we'd have to jackhammer the slab floor. Their recommendation: a $2,717 service to flush pipes and video the system. They hooked the sink back up (it now has a slight leak). We called another service, who snaked the system in twenty minutes, everything is fine, water flowing great. $200 to solve the problem. They sent the estimate and an authorization, but I have never heard from them since. I 'pinged' the CEO on LinkedIn, and filled in comments on their website before this post, but they are impossible to contact. I don't know if this is bad luck, incompetence, or a rip-off. I can not, in good faith, recommend the service. I hate to ding a business, but I think people should be warned in this case.

I called rooter hero to perform a leak detection at my house. They came out promptly, took photos etc. and said they would have a report to me in a couple of days. It is now 4 weeks and 5 phone calls later and I have not received a thing. I am out of pocket and will now need to call another company.

I called Rooter Hero to assist with a main sewer blockage. They came out and proceeded to tell me I had a soft blockage and that it would cost 3K to hydro flush it. I was uncomfortable with the quote and solution. I then called another company who came out and solved my problem within 15 minutes for $88. I did pay Rooter Hero $77 for thier time. I called Rooter Rooter and emailed them to let them know the results I got from another company and they never called or emailed me back. Watch out for these guys. They are not looking out for your best interest. I was also told I would be emailed a reciept which I never got but they quick to cash my check.

Had an issue with the bathroom sink. We called Rooter Hero Plumbing at 9 am, they sent someone over by 10:30. Edgardo fixed the problem immediately, was in and out within 45 minutes. Clean, professional and quick! I'd definitely use Rooter Hero again.

Trouble with my main line, they gave me options which ranged in price from $2000-$6000, but wouldn't give me the quote in writing. Not sure why....kept telling me he would email it to me. Never did. Meanwhile I'm here unable to flush my toilet or take a shower. Anyway, ended going with another company and charge me $650. Not sure how or why there's a huge discrepancy in prices. I'm giving 2 stars for the original plumber who came out, Sal. He seemed genuine and wanted to help. His ""boss"" if that's what you want to call him, Juan acted like he really didn't need my business and that's why he didn't even got back to me. Also beware, Rooter Hero is a sister company of Roto-Rooter, who I was trying to avoid in the first place.
