The $77 is a way for them to get into your house. The way i was told it would take lots of work to unclog my drain . The Plummer was done in lass than 10 minutes and charged me $256 !!! WTH? Why would you do that to your customers? I'm not going to call this company again. Sorry but i don't like stuff like this.

Outstanding service. Promptly responded and stayed until the sewage blockage was resolved. Especially good due to New Years weekend rush.

END RESULT:
Rooter Hero could have earned a great review and another loyal customer had they had a bit more patience, some creativity and a longer snake. They started out very strong by arriving on time and quickly for my plumbing emergency. I was super happy that they stood behind their work when it was discovered that their first attempt failed. Unfortunately their second repair was more of an upsell than a ""warranty"" that I was not willing to take. I will not be promoting their services, and unfortunately their ""business style"" will probably come back to haunt them.

SHORT STORY:

Called Rooter Hero out for a blocked drain. I paid $360.00, they came out very quickly. They instantly wanted to charge me double to pull both toilets (yet hadn't looked at the actual waste lines yet). They agreed to the original price and pulled 1 toilet. The backed up water went down, but ultimately the drain failed to clear and backed up the next day. They came back out, ""under warranty"", put a camera in the lines, and then decided that I needed to pay an additional 1600.00 to jet the line. I called a new company, they came out, put a 3 inch blade on the end of their snake and my problem was solved for $450.


LONG STORY:
Pretty much on par with the other one star reviews. Had a plumbing issue, hired them to come out to clear a main drain. It was after-hours and they arrived quickly. Wanted to charge me double because of ""back to back toilets""- but I knew better. They snaked the lines for a reasonable rate- said they got it and no problems..... Next day, had the same issue- sewer backed up. I called the company, they said it's under warranty, and they came back out that evening (maybe 40 minutes from my call).

Super happy thus far- minus the fact that they had to come back out.... but this stuff happens. This time it was with a different person(s). I was not on site and was talking to the repair person over the phone. I was trying to understand what the issue was, because it was a different description than what the first person had previously stated the day before. The new guy was becoming increasingly irritated when I was trying to learn what and where the problem was. I just decided to drop the conversation.
He stated it needed to get jetted, so I asked for a price.... apparently they don't just have easy price quotes for routine jobs, but he needed to sent it to me via email even though I was on the phone with him.

Long story getting shorter- guy said he would have to jet the lines the following day for an additional fee of $1600.00 because there were roots and he could not get his camera past them (which was probably true for the camera), but their guy the day before apparently was able to get past them with the rooter and partially unblock the line. Why couldn't they just do it again with a longer snake was my thinking? But I did not feel as though I could ask any further questions due to the deterioration of the plumbers patients and tone with me.
Anyway, I opted NOT to continue service with them based on what I was experiencing and from the reviews I had now had the time to read.
The following day a new plumbing company came out, put a three inch saw blade on the end of their snake and cleared the line.

THE REVIEW:
The poor review rating is due to three key reasons. 1.) The assumption that both toilets ""need to be removed"" without even looking at the actual lines, yet instantly doubling the price- Just sounds shady. You could have stated: ""we might need to pull the other toilet due to.... but let's pull the first toilet and find out"". 2.) Lack of patience while trying to explain the situation to the client. I was at the understanding that you were at the same location as your co-worker. So the 35 foot difference (due to the unknown differing starting points) did not make sense to me when one person says the issue is at 75 feet and the other says it is at 35 feet. A little more explanation and description could have resolved this misunderstanding. 3.) Upselling the line jet for a few roots. There was no way the drain needed to be jetted. This is not a 40-80yo cast iron pipe with a bunch of scaling, grease and other deposits. This was a relatively clean line with some root intrusion and a block further down the line. I am in the trades, have scoped a lot of lines in my day, and a few roots in an ABS pipe does not justify a $1600 jetting...

Albert was amazing!! We had another quote from Roto Rooter that was over double the price, and then Albert came in and cleaned our drain for $77. He was quick, friendly, and refused to leave until he knew everything worked perfectly. He double and triple checked his work. I highly recommend Albert at Rooter Hero!!

I called Rooter Hero Plumbing at 8:00am on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Their technician, Raul, was at my door by 9:30. He was professional, courteous and efficient. He gave me helpful tips for the future. I was able to take advantage of a coupon deal that was on-line but that I had not even seen. That is ""above and beyond""! Raul politely tried to tell me that the tip I was offering was not needed, but I would not listen. Excellent service will be acknowledged by me!

I had a water heater leaked on a Sunday evening. I called Rooter Hero Plumbing of San Diego was very responsive. Gil the plumber technician was sent to follow-up was very courteous, informative and professional, in less than 1 hour he arrived in our home address. The issue was addressed immediately and appropriately. He provided thorough assessment and explanation.

I also inquired with the pressure regulators and he gave his assessment and recommendations. He was very attentive to even provide the email via quote and was not pushy on getting it done.

The following day I called the company decided to do the pressure regulators. Gil was on time, courtesy calls was given for his ETA which I highly appreciate and he finished the pressure regulators without any issues.

He remained very professional and excellent customer service.

If you have any plumbing issues and water leaks this is the company you need to call for.

I was not able to have them fix my water heater due to my insurance has their assigned contractors but otherwise I very satisfied with their services.

FYI this company is open 24/7 which is a life saver.
