This company not only responded quickly to my quote request but they know their stuff. Jose and his assistants are honest and experienced when it comes to troubleshooting the problem. They were able to test my compressor to see if it had an issue and it didn't (thank goodness). Instead they found out it was my capacitor that was not functioning. Saved me a ton of money since another company was going to do a trial and error repair. Plus, he was willing to educate me on what to look for in the future and what they were doing. He even discovered that my furnace wasn't working bec of a blown fuse and all of this fix in less than 1.5 hrs. On top of the troubleshooting, they even cleaned the paint and dirt off the exterior of the condenser unit! That added service impressed me. Will definitely work with them for my future projects. This company is amazing! Jose from Velavi literally just left my house. I couldn't wait to get to my phone to write a review! He knew right away what the issue was. He was very honest about it. We tried to install a Nest thermostat and we ended up blowing a fuse which cut off power to the Fan, Heater and A.C. unit. I did my reaserch prior to calling anyone and my hunch was that it was a fuse. I called about 6 other companies before deciding to go with Velavi. All others were charging over $80 just to come out and tried to scare me by saying it would be an issue that could cost well over $300! Plus a charge of $150 to install the Nest.

Jose only charged $150 total! He fixed the fuse and installed the Nest. He was done in about a half hour. It's so nice to find a company that is honest, courteous and very professional! Don't call anyone else! I'm an honest single parent that is on a budget and if you need to save money go with Jose from Velavi!

This is a residential job and they got the unit working and started up. But it wasn't 100% done and that's was fine with us because we got issues on our side with our parts. In any case, we finally got the parts needed to fire the HVAC back up.. and still it didn't work (it wasn't as simple as replacing the missing part like they said). So we called them again and this is where things started falling apart. They would schedule us in but no one would ever show up. We called back 4-5 times and the 1st time truck broke down. Then 2nd time, they were too busy or something. Then 3rd time, there's some other things wrong. I mean we literally have scheduled someone in 4-6 days from the call so this went on for 1 whole month after the 2 service call. Still now, the issue is still there and there's no point of even calling them to schedule anything because to have a 4 time no show is just ridiculous (and no, they did not call to let us know). The issue isn't the HVAC but that they said they would do something and didn't. I am sure they have a reason that they will post on here as to some reason what the issue was or what the problem is... so to drive this point home, the 1 star is specifically for each time there was a no show.

Two of our units had to be replaced, we decided to go with Velavi. Hector was very professional and made sure the job was done right and made sure we got what we wanted. The install staff were friendly and professional. Thank you Hector, Fransisco and the rest of the staff at Velavi. I will be referring them to anyone I know. Good job guys I love our two ac and heating units.

I picked Velavi Heating and Cooling after getting 5 different estimates to replace my home's entire heating and cooling system (including ducts).

Hector walked me through every step of the process and explained all the requirements to properly complete the job. We then fine-tuned the details of the agreement via email until I felt satisfied with the fine print.

Let me tell you that Hector is one of the most professional guys I've ever met. He pulled a permit with the city prior to starting the job, and his crew of 3 took 2 days to complete the job. Upon completion they conducted a HERS test to ensure that the new system was working properly.

If you are searching for a HVAC installer, I urge you to get a quote from Velavi. They do top notch work. How do I know? The system that was installed passed all of the rigorous HERS tests with flying colors. I asked the independent testers how many Velavi installations they had been hired to test and how many had failed. Answer? Only one out of approximately 50, a record far better than many companies! Our city building inspector also gave a big thumbs up to the quality of workmanship.
My experience was the same as Manuel P., whose review was posted yesterday. After researching online advice that experts had to offer about HVAC installation, I too received quotes from 5 different companies.

1. Velavi sent me an email that specified every pertinent detail of materials to be installed and the scope of the work to be performed.
2. They did not try to sell me bigger or higher-end equipment that does not deliver the bang for the buck in a climate like here in Southern California.
3. Their quote included the removal and disposal of my old floor furnace, which would have been extra. (They even installed dry wall and boards to close the openings in the wall and floor.)
4. Their quote included cost for the HERS tests.
5. Their warranty includes 2 years for labor, not just one.
6. The installation crew worked their tails off in our attic and under our house during a spell of hot weather.

There might be other companies out there that are as good as Velavi, but I doubt that there are any that are better.

Our old AC/heat unit stopped working and we needed a replacement. We met with five different companies before choosing Velavi and we can't be happier with them. They are great professionals, honest, quick, modern, friendly with competitive prices and great customer service.

Just from the start we noticed Velavi was the best choice. All five companies (all of them with 5 stars) came to the house and gave us a free estimate.

1. All companies recommended a new unit, but Velavi did the most thorough inspection of the unit. We liked that because we didn't want to start the job and later find out that there was a bigger problem.
2. 3 out of 5 companies recommended a smaller unit. Velavi was one of them. We had a 5-ton unit and they installed a 4-ton. This shows that they know what they are doing and they are honest.
3. Velavi was the only company that showed us their catalog with different options and prices. We really liked that. It's a way to know that they are not inflating the price just because you have a nice house. Their price was just in the middle. They weren't the cheapest or the most expensive, just about right.
4. Velavi was the only company that sent their estimate via email. This might be a minor detail, but shows that they are modern and professional. I got other companies just telling me the price or writing it down on their business card: not serious.
5. Installation was painless. It was quick: just one day and a half. They were punctual, quiet and clean. They used rugs to protect the floors and took all the trash and the old unit with them.

Very satisfied with their service, we will recommend them to every one.

Hector and his crew did an awesome job installing AC at our house! They were always on time, very professional. Cleaned up great after the job was done. They even hooked up the AC to the Nest we had installed. They made sure everything worked before they left. They custom covered a line into our attic where it worked best. I can not thank Jose and Francisco enough for fixing my AC on the hottest day of the year! They went above and beyond and drove all the way out past Temecula to pick up the only specialized fan motor left in California so that I can cool down my two babies at home...
