Work was done fast and at a competitive price. Hector was prompt in giving us a quote and worked with our budget. Installers did a good job and was quick, just wished they cleaned up a tiny bit better. Some left over screws here and there (with small children this is a no-no). Would recommend again. Compared to other companies' quotes, they weren't the cheapest but they had the better product. Other quotes took days or weeks to come in, and in this heat wave, that was a deal breaker.

We had Velavi come install new duct work and vents in our new house we were renovating. Then almost a year later we were ready to install a new central A/C unit. We had a few different companies come give bids. We went with Velavi because they did a great job the first time around and had comparable pricing.

They completed our A/C install in one day. All the workers were very polite and super clean. Jose was the lead for our job and he was great. He made sure to explain how to use our new thermostat before he left. Would definitely recommend them!

On the hottest day of the year so far, I noticed my a/c was leaking. I contacted Velavi and received an appointment within a few days for a technician to come look at it. They came to my house and quoted me $600 to repair it. I accepted the estimate and never heard from them again despite sending various emails and leaving messages. This is horrible customer service and a huge waste of my time!

Short version: Absolutely fantastic from start to finish and very, very competitively priced! Permit inspector actually said ""wow"" when he saw the quality of work on the install.

Longer version: My daughter moved into her new home in Gardena and it needed A/C installed quickly before the summer heat set in. I used yelp to find a few quotes and thought they were a bit high compared to the price of the A/C replacement in my own home (one company quoted $10+k without asbestos abatement, permits or HERS test which would add on about $1k). I noticed that my daughter's neighbor was in the process of getting A/C installed so I knocked on their door and asked who they were using and if they were happy with them. They were very happy with Velavi and told me how much it had cost which was a lot less than $10k!

Obviously I called Velavi to quote for the install. They were easy to call/email/text with, turned up on time, and responded quickly. The quote included asbestos abatement in the attic and furnace, permitting and HERS testing and came to $8,700. Since I looked them up on Yelp and noticed they were offering a free Nest with a new installation I got them to install one ($75 rebate with gas company!) so that was the icing on the cake! As a 1st time homeowner this was going to save my daughter a lot of money, plus their reviews were fantastic, and we got a personal recommendation too. You can't get much better than that!

The install took an entire day and the guys who worked on it were all friendly and hard working, making sure they kept the house clean and tidy, and explaining everything to me as they installed. When I did the final walk through with the boss I was surprised to see that they had covered the line running down the side of the house to the outside unit and painted it with the exact paint color to the house. They left the paint for me in the garage for any touch ups too! Great service.

The permit inspector was very happy passing everything to code, and he was impressed with their work. Normally he finds something that requires a tweak, but not with Velavi, they got an A+ straightaway.

So a big thank you to all the guys at Velavi, Jose, Hector, Michael and all the other's whose names I haven't mentioned...oh and Vaneza in the office who drove over to deliver the HERS/permit papers for the inspection. (The company they use for the asbestos abatement and the HERS test were really professional and friendly too. I love the fact that the HERS company was run by a woman and that 2 women came to do the test - you go girls! - I like supporting women in small business).

If you are looking for a company to install your A/C or furnace, or you just need a repair or tune up I would certainly recommend Velavi to you. With so many 5* reviews I'm not the only one who is very happy with them.

What's the most annoying sound in the world??? That of your AC unit chirping and grinding and God knows what else....ugh!!! After requesting several quotes, Velavi came to the house and with in minutes, diagnosed the problem. I was hoping for an easy fix, of maybe no more than $150...lol...wrong! Some sort of motor that goes in the combo HVAC unit went out, causing metal on metal screeching sounds. Either way, Velavi team fixed it, and gave me a pretty good deal. Team showed up even before scheduled time, which was awesome.....had it fixed with in a couple hours....and now, my ears can hear the sound of silence. Great job guys....definitely call them back. Vanessa, the front office manager is a living doll, courteous, professional and over all helpful in every way. Thanks again guys!!!
