Thank you Rooter Hero for coming out on such short notice - holiday weekend coming up and businesses closing early. Desperately needed a stinky clogged drain to be cleared--- Ray Elizarraras came out within the hour of calling them for service (commercial bldg in Rancho Santa Margarita) - fixed the problem. Appreciate the courtesy, customer service, dedication to their profession. Happy Thanksgiving! Now I too can leave work early!

Steve charged $200 to cut two corroded hex nuts off a bathroom faucet. Took about 10 minutes. Wish we would have got another quote or two, but were desperate to just get it done. They rescheduled on us 3 times before finally making it out.

Did a good job, but feel like they overcharged and the rescheduling was irritating. He offered to install the new faucet for $300, which seemed absurdly expensive.

Don't get ripped off

Called for their $77 any drain cleaning special. I told the guy the main line was clogged backing up in the downstairs shower and leaking out the toilet. He walks up to the toilet and flushed it spilling 3 gallons all over the floor. When I asked why he did that said he needed to verify the problem. (a professional would have removed the top of the toilet and lifted the flapper to slightly to release a small amount of water.... not flood the house!!!) After complaining he agreed to clean the drain for $77.00. Ran the machine for a while then saying there could be all kinds of major problems. He then said didn't know whether the clog was cleared but had me flush the upstairs toilet which again flooded the floor with 3 gallons of water. By the time that was cleaned up it had leaked onto my new $8,000 hardwood floor.

He then went out to his truck, talked on the phone, came back and said they needed to install a clean- out in the yard for $3,500 in order to unclog the line. Tried his best to pressure me into doing it now, and said crew would work through the night. I said I wanted to wait until morning to decide.

While he was packing up his machine I noticed that there were no blades on the end the cable. When I asked why he said their company doesn't use the blades. No wonder he couldn't clear the line (that is like shaving with no blade in the razor or mixing a cake without blades in the mixer). I paid him $77.00 to get him off my property.

I called my brother-in law a retired plumber. He knew right away the guy was scamming me.He insisted on coming over the next morning (I didn't want him to help because he recently had open heart surgery and is 70+ years old). Anyway, he came over with his 40-year-old machine (with proper knives attached) cleared the line in a few minutes.

A word to the wise. Don't get tricked into some expensive unnecessary repair. Modern ABS Black Plastic pipe used in waste lines has a life span of 50-80 years and more. Possible that a joint may come undone but not too hard to repair, certainly not thousands of dollars' worth.

My hard wood floor is water stained in places I am the lucky one for not getting ripped off..

Very happy with my service with Rooter Hero. Ray was friendly and knowledgeable when he came out to my home for a pressure cleaning and to clear my drains. While not all issues could be solved and it's a larger problem, they did their best to help me out. The have fair pricing and Crystal was fantastic communicating with me the arrival times. I can recommend them for all your plumbing needs.

Saw the ad for draining cleaning for $77 in OC Register. Danny Andres came out on time and quickly had my bathroom sink unclogged. Polite, efficient and professional. Will definitely use them again!

Rooter Zero - Plumbers from Hell! Total Scam artists. They almost did it to me twice (shame on me - almost!). Few weeks back they said my clogged shower had a broken pipe needing thousands to repair. Showed me camera video of the pipe but I couldn't see a crack. They also left me with a completely clogged drain which had at least drained slowly before they came. I said I needed a second opinion. They tried to bargain with me but still in the thousands, so sorry but not today. Shower, now unusable, stayed that way while I begin planning for a major remodel, since we reportedly have to tear up half of it.

Jump to this weekend, still didn't get the second opinion on the shower (got real busy with work), and my kitchen sink stops draining. Plunger just gets me wet so I find that seductive $77 coupon for what surely is a simple snake out. Wrong again!! Rooter Zeros goes through the exact same routine just with different guys this time. They pretend to run snakes through three different pipes (sink clean out, main clean out and sink drain) but nothing works. Must be a broken pipe (ding ding!! - my bullshit meter finally goes off!).

I get a referral for another plumber who comes out and snakes the sink drain in minutes! Too easy. I tell him to check the shower and, it's a miracle, he snakes it clear in a minute!! Unbelievable!!

Save yourself from this underhanded, lying company! I'm still pissed that I lived without that shower for weeks Not to mention the stress facing major pipe replacement. This was no accident, nor a rogue plumber! This is a planned and coordinated strategy executed exactly the same way two times in a row by two separate crews. Shame on you Rooter Zero!!

Hero rooter came out, ran the snake twice, and told my wife he would have to run the camera for an additional charge. She said no way and to leave. I stopped at Home Depot and bought a $24 1/4"" hand snake on my way home from work. Ran the snake through a different drain opened right up. I feel they were just taking advantage of my wife, trying to make all the could off our situation. Our cost $211 for a scam.
