Great customer service and knowledgeable technical personal.
I send, in the morning request via yelp messenger asking for help to connect new BBQ. It needed change of the old end switch and Quick disconnect to new ones.
Got call back in 5min and appointment time shortly after that.
All job was completed after few hours of my initial call.
Special thanks to Eddie, technician who implemented all needed quickly and very professional.
Milt E.So, I typically only write reviews for significantly good or significantly bad experiences. Here's a good one I'd like to tell you about:
A few weeks ago, on a Friday evening, we experienced a sewer backup at our 100 year-old house. Since it was about 9pm, I quickly scoured Yelp and began making phone calls. Rooter Guard was the most efficient answering the phone and giving me hope that they could get here relatively quickly. They arrived around an hour later. Greg and his assistant were clean and cheery and jumped right in to try to get the line open. They sweated and worked, but the snakes weren't going to cut it through the major tree roots they'd later discover. He needed to come back the next morning to investigate further. By now it was about 11:30.
The Rooter Guard dispatcher called the next morning to announce Greg's arrival in :30. He showed up at 10, again very cheery and pleasant. I was trimming some hedges in the front, and, while Greg awaited the arrival of his supervisor, Mike, he offered to help me clean up the clippings (!) Nice!
Long-story-short, the project, unfortunately, turned out to be a major problem with the sewer line to the street, which, due to the lame LA City inspection process, ended up with delays extending the repair to two weeks. Major road work, cranes and specialized equipment. In that time, Greg and Mike hung in there with us- consistently friendly, positive and hard working. I'm used to contractors that start out positive, but quickly sour as the projects progress. Mike and Greg even paid attention to small things- like noticing and then replaced a leaky irrigation valve at no cost that was unrelated to the project. Nice!
At then end, Greg carefully groomed our front yard back to normal, even made a trip to Lowes to buy a few bags of mulch to replace what had been disrupted.
We actually missed seeing these guys go! Although spending big $$ on a major sewer project is no one's wish, Greg, Mike and the rest of the gang at Rooter Guard helped us get through it. We are grateful to have lucked in to using this awesome company.
Kelly S.I cannot say enough great things about rooter guard. They are available to come when you call. They are on time or early. They talk to you as a competent human. They can talk through options, alternatives, possibilities and they don't leave until the job is done, inspected by them and you, completed, and cleaned up. They are friendly, considerate, and professional and I am so happy to have them as my go-to plumbing company.
Rooter Guard is the third company I've used for sewer line backups, and I really wish it had been the first. I spent hundreds of dollars with the other companies only to get the hard up-sell to quotes of $15-20K to replace a portion of our sewer line. Jack the technician arrived on time, checked out the problem and cleared it quickly, then explained clearly what can be done to keep it from happening again. And it only cost me $59, less than half what I had paid the others! Whatever plumbing issue I have in the future, I'm calling these guys for a knowledgeable, reasonable assessment.
We had a terrible leak in 4 different places, Rooter Guard was able to come in and completely fix the issue(s) and finish the project in a timely fashion. Harry and Eric did a really nice job of communicating through phone and text. The office was very professional and polite. I would recommend Rooter Guard if you're looking for honest and professional plumbers. Thanks guys!
I live in a condo HOA and our sewer line in the shared garage was backing up. I called Rooter Guard. The young man that answered the phone was very nice and cordial, and told me they had a $59 special going on to clear drains. I explained that it was not a home, but a shared garage condominium. He checked with his supervisor and told me that the price would remain the same. Plumbers in general, like electricians, and most of the trades, do not work by the hour, but by the job, so they can try to gouge you on the price. So, I was skeptical that they would honor the price. Boy, was I wrong..... They sent a very nice young man out, who did everything conceivable to clear the line. He attempted to snake down the main drain line and the snake would not go through. I suggested we look for a clean out, and after a few minutes we found one in one of the vertical sewer pipes in the garage. The clean out had not been opened for many years, so it was difficult to loosen it, but he did not complain, opened it, snaked the line twice, and with his persistence, got the line open. The job took about 40 minutes and with the billing procedure, total time was a little less than an hour.
I was billed as represented. No attempt to up charge me; Claim something else was wrong that was not included in the fee; etc. Based on my one time experience, I would highly recommend this company for rooter service.
Ryan P.Unfortunately, I felt that they were trying to rip us off. After attempting to rooter our mainline their plumber told me that he couldn't unclog it because their were too many tree roots obstructing the pipe and we would need to pay for a hydro jet to fix the problem, which would be $1300. We told him that we would need to discuss this with our landlord and see how they would like to proceed. We had our landlord's handy man come take a look and he was able to unclog it NO problem. He attached a cutting blade to the end of the snake (which I asked the Rooter Guard plumber about and he looked at me like I was crazy) and unclogged the pipe within minutes without any complications. I am not sure if this company just didn't have the proper equipment to handle the situation or not, but I am sure glad we said, ""No"".
I can't say enough good things about Carlos Franco and his team. After getting the very bad news that my sewer system was full of roots and basically had to be replaced, Franco and his team did an absolutely superb job. My yard was completely put back together and you hardly knew two days before it was a complete mess. They were courteous, professional, helpful and hard working. Harry was the deliverer of the bad news but offered financing and options that I could deal with. This is a very good company and I would highly recommend them.
Bobbie B.After calling a dozen+ plumbers on Xmas Eve for a main line drainage emergency, Jack and the Rooter Guard team were the only plumbers not only available to show up same day (with in the hour) but they also didn't try the holiday rip off routine. Jack was super quick, professional and did an outstanding job. These guys are your go to plumbers.
Grumpy G.Definitely one of the best plumbing and drain companies and LA. I had to call different companies that day. One of them sent someone, who came to have a look and give a free estimate. The guy look like he was lost. We tried asking questions, but he said he doesn't have the right equipment to be able to diagnose the problem. Then we called Rooter Guard. They were very accurate To diagnose the problem over the phone and even given approximate estimate. He told me that most likely it was my machine.
An hour later a guy name Victor came. He told me that he would need to run a camera to see the inside of the sewer line. He ran a camera and showed me everything. I couldn't believe what I saw. The line was completely blocked with roots. Victor and his supervisor recommended to get it replaced.
Excellent job and everything works again.
Thank you Rooter Guard and Victor.
