I have used root-o-matic Johnny and his team for years and trust him and his company! Yvonne in the office is a pleasure to work with as well. I work with buyers and sellers in the real estate market and have to coordinate plumbing inspection's. Once inspection is completed Rootomatic does the work necessary to assist in successful closings. Not only do we use them for business but we use them for our own personal homes too.

Got 3 quotations for the work I needed done. They weren't the cheapest (although pretty close) and they weren't the most expensive.
I had to have an existing bathtub removed and a new whirlpool tub installed.The tub was enclosed by 3 walls, they removed the old tub and installed the new whirlpool tub with NO problems. Nothing was disturbed, the tub sits about 13 inches from the toilet and they never had to remove the toilet which was a God sent ! The drain for the new tub was different from the old tub and they had to do some alterations to the cement floor to accommodate the drain location for the new tub.
Everything was done it one day, they made hardly any mess and what mess they did make was cleaned up by them and you would never know they were there !
Darrin did the majority of the work but when it was time to install the new tub the owner came out to assist. Trust me it wasn't easy to install the new tub on a wet concrete pad they poured, hold the tub up to line up where the new drain had to be and do the drain hook-ups with the toilet constantly in the way.
These guys did a GREAT job and I would recommend them in a minute based on my experience.

Not much to say. I had a leak. I called a large local company but they didn't have time for over a week. These guys instead came highly recommended by a friend. They arrived when scheduled, same day. Fixed it fast. Didn't try to upsell me. Charged a fair price, a bit less than the estimate even. They will be my go-to plumbers from now on. Luis did the work.

Jonny is an AMAZING plumber and all around handyman! He is very polite, professional and a hard worker. I called him with a plumbing issue, he immediately called me back. Within a few hours, he was at my home, properly diagnosed my plumbing issue and was ordering parts to get it fixed.

The other reviews are NOT Jonny. In fact, after reading the reviews I think the people are confusing Jonny's Root-O-Matic with another company.

Do yourself a favor and call Root-O-Matic with your plumbing issues. I have also had him perform other work around my home - he is a true handyman! You won't be sorry!

Disappointment is an understament!

Where do I start? I had this company come out a couple of years ago and they did some service for me and I was happy with the work so I thought since my mom was looking to change out her toilets, I would refer them to her. What a mistake I made.

The appointment was initially scheduled for Tuesday from 8-9. At 11 a.m, nobody had shown up. Called and left a message and installer called to say he had no idea that he was supposed to be there at that time and that he could be there by 2. He then called back at about 1 and said that he couldn't do the work at all because he didn't have the tanks needed for the job and that he would have to reschedule. One entire day wasted.

The installer decided he could come out and install on Saturday. Made an appointment and he actually showed up this time during the time he had stated with the toilets in hand. After three hours, I thought that this ordeal was finally over.

Thursday, my mom calls me telling me there's water all over the floor in one of her bathrooms. I run over there, turn off the water, she gets off the phone with the installer who says it's totally normal for something to be loose and leak like that and he couldn't come out that day but that he would be by after 4 on Friday. Well, he couldn't make that appointment either so he called to say he would come out Saturday morning.

While I was there, I checked all of the toilets and noticed that the seats that were installed were the thinnest, cheapest seats I have ever seen. When I originally called to place the service order, I asked to have installed at her house the EXACT same toilets they had installed at my house just a year ago. Once I noticed that, I surely thought that there was a mistake and they would come out and replace the seats. Well, that's not what happened. After several messages, phone calls and many many days filled with frustrations, owner calls back and says I had requested the cheapest possible seats to be installed and if she wanted the same seats it would cost $45 per seat! Which would add up to an additional $135.

At the time I was requesting quotes for this work, Savage and Sons was higher by about $50 so I thought I would save her the money and go through Root-o-matic, boy what a mistake this was.

I was hoping the company would have tried to do whatever they could to fix the problems she has had but they have done absolutely nothing! All together, an entire Tuesday was lost, half of a Saturday, and an hour for a follow up to fix the problem on something that should have taken no more than 4 hours. And now she has to go buy seats since they took away her old seats which would have been way better than these plastic things she had installed.

ROOT ME!!!!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF WHEN EVER THEY CAN!

I had the misfortune to have this company do a service call on my roof top swamp cooler. Somehow, it started leaking and my HOA called Root-O-Matic to stop the leak. The bill the HOA presented to me came in at 2 hours at 84.00 per hour, 168.00. The repair was for adjusting the float valve.
I felt that this was an excessive amount of time to do such a simple repair. I complained to the HOA. They told me they couldn't adjust the invoice and to call John, and talk to him. I call several times and left messages for John and Luis. I even called, asking for a quote on doing a repair. Neither answered or returned my calls. I had to resort to using a fictions name to speak with Luis. With out going into detail, and acting like a stupid home owner, he accurately diagnosed the problem and said it was an easy fix, no more than and hour. So, 84.00.
I call the HOA back and relayed what I found out. Again, no help but the HOA guy there said he would talk to the owner, John, about why they billed out at 2 hour for a 30 minute job. When the HOA guy got back to me, he said they didn't have a ladder to get to the roof and had to go back to the shop. So I have to pay for their stupidity!!!!!!! I called John again and left a VM. Again, no return call.
If you still think it is a smart idea to use this company, make sure to tell them all the tools that they need to bring. Ladders, hammers, pliers, drain cleaner, might even remind them to bring their truck. Otherwise, they will be more than happy to over bill you when they didn't bring what they needed. Oh, I and I suspect that they will be more than happy to bill you when they don't do the job right too. Just make sure you keep an eagle eye on them.

John is the best, he was on time, did what he said and a lot more. Priced was reasonable and he and his workers were friendly. John saved me a lot of trouble and now I have a sewer line that works perfect

We've just dealt with a few plumbers and heating companies in the Reno area and this place was just professional, non-gouging, honest and seemed sincere about helping us. Luis was the guy that helped us with our freezing pipes and fixes. Will most definitely do business with them again! Can't say enough great things about them....great first impression!
