This place is a complete scam and a total rip off. Their """"plumbers"""" have zero clue and the owner is a complete clown. They're completely overpriced with no justification and will just end up making your plumbing issues worse.

I contacted Roman Plumbing to repair a pinhole leak that had developed in the water supply line to our house, I anticipated a total cost in the $300-$400 range. The repairs took an hour and 40 minutes for a total cost $961.53. On initial phone contact I told Stephanie the scheduler specifically that I temporarily patched the leak and did not want or need emergency service, I was still billed for emergency service. Also, their website claims that """"you are presented with upfront price upon our arrival"""", I was not presented with an upfront price upon the tech's arrival. After two email contacts, I finally received a receipt and was able to see what I was charged for. After the last email contact requesting reasons for the emergency billing, why I wasn't provided an """"up front price"""", why I wasn't provided an invoice until after payment was made and why the technician signed the e-invoice on the iPad in my place, three days later Frank phoned me to discuss these issues. Frank did not address the emergency call issue, why no up front estimate was provided and why I didn't receive an invoice when the job was completed and to the e invoice question, Frank responded that the technician """"has to put something"""" on the signature lines to complete the transaction. I think it would be more appropriate for the customer to review, understand and sign the e-invoice instead of the technician. Frank said that the bill was """"in error"""" and did amend it to $551.11 or $330.60 per hour (for reference, our Ivy League-educated attorney charges $300.00 per hour). Choose wisely, get several quotes and be very, very vigilant.

With getting into it to deep. There are a lot of good plumbing Co. to use but not Roman. because it was to much for them to break down the price and give me a paper copy they cost me 2,200.00 for a water bill I wouldn't have had to pay. 1,500.00 that my insurance company would have paid. I guess working with me was just to hard but it wasn't hard to cash my check.. I asked many times over a three month period. Stay clear!!

My water heater went out , Robert came and gave confirmation that indeed I had to replace it. Robert went over my options and I decided to update my water filtration system as well due to the potential damage the old softener system could cause if it were to go out(which by the looks of things was very soon). Robert was able to complete all of the upgrades that day and did a great job. Robert was not pushy whatsoever with my decisions and is a very pleasant guy with a great sense of humor, very knowledgeable and skilled. I appreciate Roman Plumbing and Robert for their quick response and complete willingness to work around my schedule!!

My wife had Roman Plumbing over to fix our toilet a little over a week ago. We were in a bit of a bind as the emergency shut off valve had failed. We also need the fill valve replaced - but that I could have done myself. Never expected a bill of nearly $700.00 with less than $100.00 in parts and less than 2 hours of labor. This toilet new costs $169.00. 3 and 1/2 days pay for me and I'm far from making minimum wage. Something with this company just isn't right. Shop around folks!

Poor experience. 1:00 to 5:00 arrival time promised. Later an E- mail said 3:00-4:00. Called them at 5:00 when no one arrived. They said arriving more like 7:00 pm. No apology, she had a could care less attitude. Cancelled it. Called another plumbing company. Waste of my day and water damage continues.

I had a leak in my bedroom wall. I called my repair guy for guidance. Unfortunately, he had a health issue and was unable to assist me with this repair. However, after assessing the problem he advised me to call a plumber and ask them to open the wall a few feet at a time. Sounded like a sensible direction. I called Roman Plumbing as they were able to fit me in quite quickly. The plumber (Caleb) was pleasant. When he came, I reiterated my Handyman's advice. He immediately dismissed it and jumped to the conclusion that my home's slab had a crack and water was coming up through the crack and we needed to get a sonar guy out first. They would not perform any work until they had the sonar report. He went on to tell me the sonar is usually $450 but he could get me a """"deal"""" for $250. I again asked him if he could please open my wall a few feet at a time. He said no. After thinking it over that evening, I decided to call A-1 Southern Plumbing. When the plumber came out, I advised the route my handyman said to go. Without any problem, the plumber opened the wall about 24 inches and guess what ? There was the leak ! Evidently, since I had the water spicket worked on a couple of months ago (directly opposite my bedroom wall on the front of the house), it caused a pipe to become separated in The wall. Had the drywall repaired and A-1 Southern billed me under $200 bucks for all the work they did.

Frankie Your response was well thought out and equally as well said. With that being said, I am a state licensed electrical contractor who has operated a business in Pasco county for the past 35 years. I know all about safety, training, liability insurance, workers comp insurance and everything else you mentioned. Even with all of that, I would be ashamed to charge the prices you charge. I have made a very nice living for myself and family charging reasonable rates. Shame on you for attempting to diffuse the situation with the lame excuses
