I had hired Rod a couple of years ago and he did a good job. I've used him a few times since and even referred him to friends. Apparently, the good referrals (from me and the ones on Yelp) have gone to his head. He gave my tenant an estimate over the phone to replace a toilet ($550!) and I called him so I could better understand the estimate (what type of toilet was he going to install, the price seemed high but I know quality varies so it must be a good one for $550, etc.). Seems reasonable to me. The response? I'm too busy for this, go with it or hire someone else. And he raised his voice and was dismissive. (I can't help but wonder if the response would have been different had my husband called.) I even said I was willing to pay $550, I just wanted to understand the basis for the estimate. He just told me to pound sand.

Shame on you Rod for being a jerk to a customer who only wanted to be educated on what you were selling her. Twelve plus years of using plumbers, roofers, electricians, etc. and no one has ever yelled at me. I'm changing my review of you on Nextdoor too.

Give your money to someone considerate. The world is full of jerks, there's no need to support this one with your hard earned dollars.

I hired Rod to do the plumbing repairs before we moved into our home. He was always on time and did a great job with every repair. Everything works great and he took the time to explain every repair and future maintenance. I'll be recommending Rod to anyone who asks me if I know a good plumber. Thanks again!

Rod came out to do our plumbing inspection and did an excellent job explaining the full extent of work that needed to be done on a home we were potentially buying. It was very important for us to make sure that we had a professional inspection of the property beforehand and all necessary information. Rod is very friendly and personable and extremely knowledgeable about plumbing. Rod was willing to disassemble his equipment and carry it onto the roof in order to scope the main line while many others are unwilling to do so. He provided us a quote for work that needed to be done and returned promptly to complete the job. His price was fair and he did not exceed his original quote. Rod came himself and dug up our front yard to replace a damaged portion of the main drain line. He was very professional and made sure everything was cleaned up afterwards as well as put down grass seed to leave our yard better than before. I would use Rod for any future plumbing services.

I was collecting bids for several plumbing repairs in my house and Rod bid on the jobs. I forgot about a leaking toilet and asked him to come back to analyze and include that repair in the bid. After looking at the toilet, he said he could fix it on the spot at no charge. Wow! His subsequent bid was less than the others and I came to learn his work ethic is top rate. With one of the repairs he told me other plumbers would simply replace the entire shower mixer/valve since finding the broken part would take more time and effort and reduce the plumbers profit. This is exactly what one of the previous plumbers suggested!

Rod's philosophy is why replace the entire equipment when you can find the correct part, save the client some money and do the repair properly. I cannot say enough good things about the quality of his work, fair prices and great attitude. This is the guy you want to call when you need plumbing done right.

Just wanted to pass along a referral. Rod, of Rod's Rooter just replaced all of our 58 year old cast iron waste lines. They did it in 2 1/2 days with absolutely no inconvenience. Super nice, clean, efficient and reasonable. 619-572-3416. We were dreading this project and putting it off for absolutely no reason. Highly recommended. They have also done other plumbing jobs for us and our clients with the same great results.

The owner of my rental stuck me with a bill for $280 stating flushable wipes had clogged the toilet. The plumber states was the reason he had to pull the whole toilet up. When I call the number to receive a break down on the amounts that equaled $280. The owner ""Rod"" was very unprofessional. He went on to tell me he wasn't the one on that job and would have to get back to me later cause he was busy. I DO NOT recommend this business at all. FIND ANOTHER PLUMBER!!!!

Rod and his company are at the top of their profession. We had a significant problem with the main waterline that was about 75 feet from house. After finding the leak and fixing the neighbor's sprinkler that had to repaired, he and his team(Gary) spent a full day replacing the pipe, testing the repaired flow into the house and cementing over the cut out portion of the driveway.

It was a very high quality job requiring a lot of expertise and more than a full day effort but they wanted to make sure that water was back on by night. And a great attitude about life and strong values.

Rod's Rooter is awesome! We've had seemingly more than our share of plumbing issues (shower drains, main drain, kitchen disposal, toilets) and I feel like we've been through all the SD companies and now we just call Rod's for everything. Super quick to respond & usually are out in an hour or so. Mark who usually comes out is so nice, competent & has shown us multiple tips to try to prevent further problems. Price wise I think they've always been the same or less expensive than the competition for repairs...and they've never quoted us some crazy minimum if it requires no work or is super simple issue. Small company that's easy to work with...skip the run around & make them your go-to plumbing call.

I had that grey plastic pb pipe go bad. They quoted me much less than the national chain for the copper repiping.

Rod is the only plumber we use. He is reliable, fair, does good work and most of all I trust him. We bought a house last year and needed a few upgrades and some repairs. Rod was recommended by a neighbor and we have been very happy with him. He works with a guy named Mark who is also very skilled. Highest recommendations from me. I wish I had an electrician I loved as much as Rod Rooter!
