Rodding rooter came out fixed my plumbing problems and cleaned up the mess I will use again if need be.

Pros: They will come quickly
Cons: You will feel conned after they charge for their services. Our case they gave a price then added on another that we didn't agree on or was mentioned initially. Felt swindled and cheap. Horrible experience. I guess they are more concerned with the present and not future jobs. Out nearly $800 to change one small copper pipe. NEVER AGAIN with this company! Bye Felicia!

Fantastic!!!! My sewer backed up in the house and my call was responding to a ASAP!
Prompt service with an extremely polite gentleman ( Marcus
who was such a pleasure to work with) doing an expert job!! This is an excellent company that I recommend highly.

I had Pete come out to my place of business and do a main line & he did very well! Got both my men & women washrooms up & running in no time. Will definitely recommend him for anyone looking for a excellent plumber. Once again, THANKS Rodding Rooter!

This company did work in my building in 2016. I dealt with ""Pete"", who was very difficult.
The job started out as a clogged drain, and ended up being a broken sewer line. I had no way of of determining if it was true or not, and as the job continued, it became more clear to me that I might be being scammed. Things progressed the same way John F. described, except that I was not as smart as John F., and I let Rodding Rooter open my basement floor.
He gave a different last name to me when I hired him: ""Horvath,"" and it was only after the job became troublesome that I researched his company online and learned that his name is Costel Perva.
He was uncooperative with the insurance company, and it was only after stopping a check paying him for a portion of the work that he supplied itemized invoices and a full description of the work to my claim adjuster.
If you are interested, he is currently being sued in Cook County:

He was arrested for home repair fraud in Lake County several years ago. You can look up that record by its number, at the Lake County Public Access website: https://circuitclerk.lakecountyil.gov/publicAccess/html/common/index.xhtml, Record number 12CF00001476

Hi I called Rodding Rooter And I could'nt be Happier because my drain on my furnace kept overflowing Not to mention that the unit is less than 1yr Old and the original company that installed it wanted to charge me to come out to see their own work. Never the less I got an 85.00 service call bill, and the next day the problem came back and that's where Rodding Rooter comes into play. I made the Call Peter came to my home within 1hour fixed the problem within 20 minutes the problem was fixed and has been working fine ever since I truly would call this company if need be for ANY plumbing needs. Thanks Peter...

We had an issue with our sewer backing up on one side of our 5 unit building. They came out and claimed they had fixed the problem. The next day it was backed up again so obviously was not fixed. They tried to fix it again. Once again, they claimed it was fixed, but within a month we had the same issue again. We called to get them back out and they have no guarantee on their work so they charged us again and were unable to fix anything the next time they were out. Claimed we needed digging, etc. We ended up with a more reputable plumbing company to come out and it is now fixed with a guarantee for over a month. Do not recommend using. The service man was very defensive and not easy to work with.

I have two access points to my sewer lines. One of them backed up on a Sunday. Rodding Rooter sent someone quickly. He was a nice enough guy, but he didn't listen. I showed him the shower that was backing up and the access point nearest it. He insisted on rodding out the main line and suggesting that he could clean it out for an extra fee. I thought he knew what he was doing, so I agreed. He rodded it out and went inside to run the shower and it was still backed up. He had to work on the toilet in that bathroom then finally the access point that I pointed out in the beginning. The coup de gras was telling me that he wasn't going to charge me for rodding out the second access point. The job cost $1000. I believe I overpaid, Shame on me.

DO NOTE CALL THIS COMPANY! They charged me $99 just for the house call. They said they told me about the charge over the phone. They never did. When they looked at the problem, they said I would need more work than what was needed. All that was needed was to rod out the stack pipe. It's also confusing because they have several addresses. Pretty weird. DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY! CALL ANOTHER COMPANY!
