Recommended Customer Reviews

This company was brought in by my HVAC installers to install breakers for a new furnace and AC unit. Ben was knowledgeable and did a pretty good job. His assistant left a mess in our garage.
The HVAC company said they were way OVERPRICED compared to other companies they work with.
They called me while the job was still in process and said they would give me a rebate if I wrote a review for them. I wrote the review.
They called me to ask about the review, and they said I would still get the rebate. They haven't responded to emails inquiring about the rebate.
They never paid me the rebate.

Do not use this company! I had the worse experience with them. First, they did not complete the job they were paid to do. I made several appointments to have them come out and complete it but they never showed up. On a random day, an electrician showed up at my house to look over things. 3 hours later, we lost power to multiple outlets and lights. He had no idea what he messed up and couldn't fix the problem. With a bad attitude he said he would be back the next day. However, he never showed up and I had to pay another company fix his mistakes and complete the original job. Save yourself the headache and do not use this company!

Do not use Jamin Pollack owner of Rocky Mountain Electric DBA USA Services. Hired them in 2016 to update electrical panels on a duplex. Sent unlicensed electricians, did not pull a permit or complete the work yet they pulled the money off my credit card. Over 8k. They have been fined by DORA for this. Filed in Jefferson county to get restitution. Agreed to mediation. They failed to comply with that order. Sent unlicensed electricians to the house again, did not have workers comp until the day of the work. Never touched the other home. Failed inspection and Xcel threatened to turn the power off. They would not even reply to the failed inspection. They didn't even show for it. Went back to court and I was just awarded a judgement since I had to hire another electrician. Check BBB. Watch their google reviews. You'll notice a pattern. They are fake reviews to boost their ratings. Check DORA, cross check the electricians license or better yet avoid all together. It is the most unprofessional, crooked and dishonest experience I have ever had. Beware!!!

3 stars .... Excellent customer service, good quality of work although they are abusive. I was charged $840 for an Item that anyone can purchase for $185, $233 dollars for an item that was 30 etc etc.
Kick them when they are down is their policy. In total I was charged about 400% mark up on all of the items sued to fix my issue. This in my opinion is a predatory, very abusive practice that should be regulated. I shall never use them again.

I contacted Rocky Mountain Electrical because they have been around awhile and seemed to get solid reviews. I also thought I only had a minor electrical problem with a GFI outlet that would require a nominal fix. Unfortunately, my ""minor"" issue became a wildly expensive ($7,300) fiasco and I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. Not only was this work priced astronomically, the company did not complete the work agreed upon in the original signed contract. On top of everything the work failed inspection and Rocky Mountain reneged on doing all of the work outlined in their bid, citing that it was a mistake and the parts would be too expensive. Please learn from our mistake and look elsewhere for your electrical/plumbing needs.
To compound the above, I was able to get in contact with an old electrician friend of mine, who worked for us in the past and before I decided what to do about the re-wiring. I would have called him initially, but he works for a commercial electrical company and he wasn't doing side jobs anymore. Considering the magnitude of this bid however, I decided to at least talk to him and sent him over Rocky Mountain bid. His first words were: ""can you get of this?"" Unfortunately, I signed a contract, so I didn't think I could. My buddy looked at each part of the bid and concluded that we got fleeced on the grounding system (the cost for parts was negligible and should only take a few hours to complete). At about $1,360, he estimated that the grounding should have cost about a third or possibly half of that. For the new box, breakers and amperage (about $1,700), my buddy actually said this seemed reasonable, particularly if they were installing new breakers. I felt better knowing that at least I had only really gotten taken on the grounding work. My buddy also felt sorry for me and offered to do the re-wiring during his off time. To give you an example of the disparity in pricing, my buddy re-wired the house for $2.5k, whereas Rocky Mountain quoted me about $4k. In fact, he said that he would have done everything for about $3k less than Rocky Mountain.

Proceed with caution. Hired this company over a year ago to upgrade the panels in a property I own. They did not upgrade to code nor did they complete the project. Low and behold they never even got a permit. They were paid in full and after months of going back and fourth I finally filed a complaint with DORA and they are taking action according a letter I recently received. I used this company because of their reviews, license, insurance, website and timeline to complete the project. They completely took advantage of me. Overcharged, did not complete and failed to follow the law and codes to upgrade. I have to hire another company to re-do the work. I find their reviews suspect, as I have noticed the owner has reviewed his own company (companies???). *******BEWARE******** I will be much more diligent in the future and not even consider online reviews as it is clear to me that some people clearly falsify them. Not to mention that if you read carefully on some of the negative reviews under Rocky Mountain Electrical Services they are offering customers gift cards for positive reviews. I gave this company every opportunity from July of 2017-November of 2018 to correct the issues and complete the bid as agreed and written. When they failed to supply the inspection report in April of 2018 I called the City and I discovered they never got a permit before they started the work. My panels have been tagged by Xcel and the work has to be completely redone as it is not to code. That is not legal. I paid them premium to do the work on a tight timeline and they completely ripped me off for $8,869.00. Ask for WORKERS COMP and INSURANCE on the person that shows up. ******They are not BBB accredited and their reviews are done in a way to manipulate the general public into thinking they are an accredited company.
