Paxton (of Rock Solid Plumbing) is our plumber period. I recommend him to all of our friends, he is the best, you will not be disappointed. We have lived in SLO for nearly 20 years, and Paxton has been our plumber for at least the last 10 (it took us a while to find the light...). When you own an older house, over time, some things need repairing, some things need replacing. It is comforting to know you can rely on someone who knows their skill, charges a fair price, is prompt in arriving, thorough in getting the job perfect the first time, realizes emergencies are just that, and will accomodate if at all able to, or recommend someone he trusts, if he is not. I am sure the other ""Cathy S."" is not a real person or, is a competitor (as if), because they wrote the same review on Angie's List in 2013... Not playing nice, are we now...

We had an emergency pipe break under the house. Russ came over and fixed it. A few days later another situation arose with a broken pipe in the wall.

Installed new toilet, kitchen faucet and shut-off valve. Excellent service. Timely, clean and efficient. Russ also moved our water heater from an interior closet to the garage 11 years ago. We've never had a problem and if we did, I am positive he would stand behind any of his work. We highly recommend Russ for his professional service.

Helped with a kitchen and bath remodel. Also ran a difficult gas line to a fireplace. Never complained about the difficulty of the job. Did a wonderful job and his prices are right in line and maybe a little lower than others.

This fellow came out to fix a clogged drain for my tenant. I never received a bill and she didn't remember the company's name. Months past then out of the blue I received a phone call chronicling mishaps on his end and asking for payment, but no amount or address. Then a week later threatening messages started arriving at my tenant's door and my phone, claiming he had left many messages and demaning payment of $130.00. At least now I had the name of the company, which he had not left before, and an amount, but still no address to send the payment. Lucky for him I'm honest and looked up the company, but I would say the business practices are awful and the customer service is even worse. Since this fellow's first message went on and on about his company's error in not sending me a bill, he then turned it around and start accusing me for not paying. Find a different plumber and spare the madness.
