A few years ago, Robinson plumbing came out right after a snowstorm. Our pipe had been leaking in to our yard for quite some time & finally backed up in to our house.
They dug through several feet of snow plus the ground. Plus... it was freezing! We were so grateful they were willing to help us.
They were extremely professional & up front with everything. Matt kept us in the loop every step of the way.
We call them every time we need a plumber now. All of the workers are polite, professional, clean & honest. Pricing is very reasonable. We highly recommend Robinson! You won't be sorry!
Michael S.First time using Robinson. They were here in a half hour. Josh was exceptional in his diligence to get the clog which was 25 feet out, unclogged. It took hours and didn't charge extra. Highly recommended.
I just received the installation of a tankless water heater. Cannot speak for the water heater just yet. This review is about the contractor Robinson Plumbing. Water heater failed Saturday. Called Sunday and a human being answered the phone. Matt Robinson called back within 30 minutes. Discussed and explained all options available. I went and did my research on the Internet. Called a few other services. Did not hear from anyone until Monday morning. My 1st phone call Monday morning however was from Matt that he was sending over his plumber Mike Burnabe to review the situation because I have made the decision to purchase a tankless water heater instead of the old-style. Mike was extremely professional and courteous. He was also considerate enough to wear covers for his boots at all times. They installed the new tankless heater same day Monday. Mike performed the install with Cody and was completed by 4:30 PM. This is what all service professionals should be. This is the same service I give them my business that I seldom receive in return from others. If the water heater is anything like the service I received from the contractor I will be a very happy person. Will update in a few months after living with the new water heater. You cannot go wrong with this contractor they are truly a professional operation all the way through.
We contacted Robinson Plumbing about a leak we had as water was dripping from the bathroom into the kitchen. They sent out Cody who inspected the plumbing for about 5 minutes, never bothering to even turn the water on, and told us he knew exactly what the problem was. He quoted us $895 and stated that the repairs would fix all leaking. He also stated he would caulk the tub surround for us as well.
They arrived to start the repairs and failed to deliver on every promise that their website makes. The repair took longer than promised. The spotless cleanup they advertise was anything but spotless. There were chunks of dry wall on top of and behind the stove from the ceiling that they cut away while repairing the plumbing. The floors were left incredibly dirty because they wore their booties outside, thus turning them into sneakers and no longer protective booties, thus dragging dirt everywhere.
Despite the sloppy cleanup job, we hoped that the leak had been adequately repaired. Unfortunately, the leak still leaked. Despite waiting the required time for the caulk to dry the leak began again as soon as we turned on the shower. I immediately called the emergency line. Despite speaking with the operator several times, it took over an hour for Matt Robinson to call me back. I told Matt that the leak had not been repaired and asked that he send someone out to fix it as soon as possible.
Matt and his new employee Mike arrived to fix the leak the next day. After examining the plumbing for a few minutes, Matt determined that we needed to replace the cold water valve stem. He also noticed that there was water leaking from the ceiling vent because his employee Dylan had damaged the vent when he was doing the repairs the preceding day. Matt told us that he would have Dylan come back to the house and fix the vent he had damaged. This is the same vent that Dylan stated didn't need to be repaired during his initial visit. Matt also insisted that we replace the faucets, even though the faucets weren't leaking, stating the hot water valve stem was old and needed to be replaced. I was hesitant, but Matt stated that we needed to replace the faucets, which were not leaking, because according to him they may leak in the future. He quoted a price of $595 to replace the faucets. The $895 we were quoted to fix all leaks was now up to $1490 and the leak is still not fixed. This is not acceptable to us to incur any other charges for the same leak he quoted us to fix at $895. It should have been only $895 for the leak to be fixed, after all that's what they said when they quoted me initially, not to mention the leak is not fixed. When he was supposed to come out to warranty the work, because he claims his work is warranted for one year, and because the pipe was still leaking where it was initially leaking, he tried to sell me something new each time he came out, first the faucets and then the tub surround, stating each time that the leak would not stop unless additional repairs were made. He basically wanted to remodel our entire bathroom every time he came out for the warranty to fix the initial leak that we called him out for in the first place.
Days later, we noticed that there was still leaking when we turned on the shower. We immediately contacted Matt who was not only unapologetic, but he made a sarcastic comment that we were the ones causing the issue by being hard on the faucets, which is definitely not the case. Matt offered to have Dylan come out to fix the leak. Since Dylan is the one who did not complete the repair job correctly in the first place, we told Matt that we were not comfortable having Dylan come out and asked that he send a more experienced plumber. Matt stated that Dylan was the only one available on the weekend and we would have to wait until Monday for the leak to be repaired. We called him out because the pipe was still leaking and he warrantees the work, because now water was leaking around the faucets he had just replaced and our old faucets did not leak.
Days later, Mike arrived to fix the leak. We showed Mike that the faucets needed to be recaulked as there was a visible space around the faucet. Mike recaulked around both faucets and then left. Mike reiterated that we should replace the tub surround, even though their initial estimate said nothing about the tub surround being the cause of the leak or needing to be replaced.
Mike returned unexpectedly and asked me to sign a work order stating that he had recaulked the faucets but if the leak reoccurred, they would not come out to repair it. I refused to sign and told Mike that they guaranteed their work for a year and that refusing to do so was a violation of that guarantee. Mike stated not to bother calling them if the leak reoccurs because Robinson Plumbing would not come out to repair it or stand behind their warranty. Robinson Plumbing charged us $895 for pipes that did not need to be replaced and failed repeatedly to fix the leak.
Sewer back up is no joke. First week in my new home and panic strikes. I called these guys and within 30 minutes the tech, Dylan (also sweetest person ever) had called, assured me it would all be ok and he'd be there as soon as he could. In my experience soon as I can sometimes be hours and I couldn't believe it when he called back saying he'd be there in ten minutes. These things are usual stressful and I couldn't believe how quick and easy it was. FLAWLESS experience. Robinson, 5 star company with even better employees. Dylan, I hope you see this, you Are AMAZING!
Sooooo friendly super kind and my dog who barks at everyone when they come in, absolutely loved Dylan. Just gave him a hug and loved on him. Seriously, amazing employee right there. Thank you so much for making this once stressful Sunday, relaxing. Anyone in need of a plumber, don't think twice about who to call.
We have used Robinson for years, but on their last visit their employee made statements to my son which resulted in a dissatisfied long term customer. I initially wrote a negative Yelp review. However, I recently had a conversation with Matt Robinson who was apologetic and was willing to try to rectify the problem. That professionalism is what I have always appreciated about Robinson Plumbing. So I am not hesitating to recommend this business.
Peggy G.Now that I've dealt with Robinson Plumbing, they will be the only plumbers I will use. Big job/small job, it doesn't matter. They are professional, neat, reasonable and honest. I can't say more, I recommend them highly!!
This is a follow-up to a negative review I have since retracted: I had been dealing with a water back-up in my basement drain since I bought my house 12 years ago. The problem subsided for many years until recently, and Robinson Plumbing has dealt with the issue. After a rocky start, the owner has personally resolved the issues and guided me along as I continued to have some minor issues with the problem. Instead of an intrusive and possibly costly plumber visit, his recommendation saved me both time and money. His personal attention to my situation has restored my faith in this company - and I look forward to using Robinson Plumbing again in the future- just hopefully for something less stressful!
I would like to thank Robinson Plumbing from the bottom of my heart for being so honest. We recently purchased a home in Bethlehem Twsp and discovered that our sewer line was backing up. We had Roto-Rooter to our home on 3 separated occasions and they charged us each time for the work they had done. The problem was still not fixed. Their last resort to us was to have excavation done-they drew up a contract within the same day and sent it over for a signature. They were charging me over $4200-plus I would of had to pay for a permit. Cody came to my home and spent maybe 2 hours and fixed the issue. He is a very professional and hard working young man! He did not stop working until he was able to resolve this problem. Cody saved my husband and I over $4k!! Thank you for being so honest with us and saving us the headaches that we were about to endure. We have been stressed since we first heard how much this work was going to cost us.
I called to get estimates on a few repair jobs that I need done in my upstairs bathroom. I described the repair that needs to be done and requested even a ballpark figure but I was told that they would need to go to my house before they could give me an estimate. But if I decide not to let to do the work, they would charge me $125 for coming over.
That is not what I consider friendly and professional as they claim they are in their website.
Was I asking too much when I requested a ballpark estimate for the repairs just so I'd have an idea of how much I'd have to spend for the repairs? :-\
