Robins plumbing saves the day!

I ran into some bad luck with my bathroom remodel - resulting in a half done project that was in many places completely wrong. Trying to find someone to pick up the pieces and get my shower up and running was difficult as many folks I talked to didn't want to risk being responsible for the previous contractors' work.

From the moment I called Robins plumbing they were fantastic. They scheduled me promptly and let me know what to expect from the quote process. When Damon arrived I was pleased to discover that he is a fantastic communicator. He brought with him a good sense of humor and a listening ear as I explained what I knew had gone wrong and where my concerns were. He was able to review the work that was already done, identify the pertinent code violations, explain where there was a failure to follow manufacturers specs, make suggestions to improve the design, and provide me a comprehensive itemized quote to get the project done.

Of course I hired him.

And like all renovations, things sometimes go wrong. Every time they did he stopped work to explain what was happening, what my options were, and how that would affect cost. My biggest regret is not having started this job with him. I'm looking forward to having him do my second bathroom.

Had a leaky shower faucet. Called on a Sunday, late in day. Their service picked up right away and said someone could be out the next day between 10 AM- 12 PM. They called in the morning, said they completed earlier job and could come earlier.

Two young men, Matthew and Justin came by. Very professional. Diagnosed problem. Went for parts. Returned and completed job before noon.

Efficient. Professional. Explained every step. Would highly recommend.

Proceed with caution when using Robins Plumbing.
We had an issue with an incorrect diagnosis of a simple plumbing issue. The tech turned a valve in the wrong direction (we were there watching) and then quoted us $500 to fix the ""issue"". When he left, I googled which way to turn the valve and realized he had been turning it in the wrong direction. I got out my housewife's toolbox and... problem fixed.
The manager was extremely rude when we called the office to ask for additional information that could explain the tech's faulty diagnosis. We requested a refund of a deposit we made for future work. They refunded the deposit but still charged $85 for the diagnosis, lol. Yes, the initial consult/checkup/diagnosis fee for faulty work and an incorrect diagnosis.
At any rate, beware.

Robins has been my go-to for several plumbing jobs in the restoration of an older home, including a sewer pipe replacement, all the plumbing in a bathroom which was completely re-built after water damage, a kitchen faucet replacement, replacements of spouts, stoppers and various other jobs. Some of these were major jobs which required coordination of teams within Robins as well as referrals to other contractors. It has all gone seamlessly. I was able to sit down with Autumn at the beginning of all this and come up with a comprehensive plan for the many plumbing projects I have for this house. Much of it is done, and some is in the future, but with each new project she is already on the same page with what I'm doing. All of their plumbers have been great. They enjoy what they do and are good at it. I have hired a lot of contractors to do a lot of different home improvement/restoration projects, and I wish more businesses were like this.
