The technician was early, which was tricky because we weren't home yet. We were told we needed a new blower motor for $800 but we could save if we signed up for the service plan, so we did. He left, telling us it would take a while for the house to cool down. Hours later the house hadn't cooled down at all and we realized the blower still wasn't working. I called, but they ""didn't have any more service times"" that day but someone would call first thing in the morning. Well, first thing has come and gone and I'm really questioning the value of the service contract. I am not a satisfied customer.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND this company. Paid $16k to have new AC installed in home built in 50's. They installed air supplies in each room upstairs, but no supplies to kitchen, 1st floor bedroom, hall, bathroom or mudroom off garage..it feels.like Texas in July! I complained to the owner and get this, he wanted another $7k to fix the poor design recommendation the installers suggested. I had to call another company to fix their mistake. Poor customer service and in my opinion took advantage of me being a senior. Save yourself and take your business someplace else!
You are loosing some jobs because of the person who answer the phone and take the information for the costumers. I called today and she was so rude with me, she didnt have patience to explain anything, she talked me like I was an idiot and she had a lot of rush to take the information and end the call. Just to let you know that for that reason I cancelled the appointment.
Fran V.I have had nothing but perfect service from this company very very customer oriented I had a new air conditioner and furnace installed 2018 June and I've had two issues and they came out here immediately Very minor things but they took really good care of me thanks Dan you're the best
Tarra A.We've been paying for their $16 monthly service maintenance program for a year now. Our furnace went out on a Saturday night, called in and it was an answering service which is understandable. But the answering service couldn't answer what the $16 a month covered. On the website it says it covers 24/7 service but they were telling me it doesn't. They kept saying I'd have to wait until Monday to talk to the office. Called Monday morning and it was still the answering service. They said they'd send my message along and the office would call me, 4 hours later still no call. Absolutely ridiculous.
David M.I wonder if this will get their attention?
5 Stars for my first experience***
I replaced my hot water heater last January and everything went great! I did have to pay for an emergency fee to have a technician out to my home to tell me it had to be replaced. Not a big deal. We scheduled a time and date to have it replaced and all went well. My first interaction with this company was good and I was happy I used them. We actually signed up for their ""Worry Free Service Plan"". I figured that they would be my new service company and with the great experience I had the first time, the service plan would be worth it.
It wasn't....
Fast forward to September. I notice a pooling of water underneath my furnace. I figured that it was just a clogged drain line from the A/C running all summer and called Robin Aire to do a check and tune up.
I called on a Sunday and spoke with a representative and asked if I could have someone out. This person took my info and said someone would contact me to set up an appointment. Excellent. A week goes by and no call. I call again and speak with another representative and he tells me the same thing. OK, I'll wait again, no big deal. Another week goes by and nothing. I call again and ask for an emergency visit. The rep tells me there is a Fee for emergency visits, but I signed up for your ""worry free service plan"" under the assumption that I wouldn't have to pay for these fees. Not the case. I ask to just have someone call me as soon as possible to schedule this. I wrote an email through their website telling them how displeased I was with their communication. I finally get a call 2 days later and they tell me that there is no opening for another 9 days. I totally get that this company is very large and busy but for the customer to be promised services through extra paid plans and then not follow through with them, isn't right. We'll call someone else.
Called a competitor and they came out the next day for a tune up.
Thank you for taking my money and running with it.
Stacy B.I had Robin Aire out for an AC check and tune-up in July.
Anthony did a great job, he checked out the inside unit and thoroughly cleaned the outside unit. The AC has been working without any problems and I will continue to use Robin Aire for my HVAC unit.
Ed G.No problem with this company. I have a Mitsubishi Mini Split and the tech went the extra mile to solve the problem. No cold air! Had me take a movie of the fault lights when they occurred and came back at no charge. He was able to go right to the issue. Other companies just shrugged their shoulders( waste of money).
I have a 30 year old furnace/ac unit the heat was working fine . Trouble with the a/c however, the fan had to be turned on manually . Tim was amazing he determined it was a bad relay switch. He ordered the correct unit they installed it Then He and Brian took the entire fan off and cleaned it there was dirt on the back side I couldn't see or get to as I cleaned the unit 2x a year myself. The unit is working great , I have much better air flow and the fan comes on much smoother now. I recommend everyone get a maintenance appointment . The techs were on time ,fast and very professional. I now have an excellent running unit that will save me money . Thank you for the peace of mind PRICELESS
I had Robin Aire Heating & Cooling put in a new furnace a year and half ago and they had me sign up for a maintenance plan. They did a great job putting the furnace in and I was quite happy with their service. Today, however, I talked with them on the phone and explained that I was going to be moving later this month and that my pre-paid fall maintenance visit for my furnace would occur with the new owners. I was told that the plan was non-transferrable and non-refundable. I tried to reason with the gentleman and told him that I already paid for it and that they could potentially be gaining new customers if they just followed through with the visit (which again is already paid for). He repeated that it was non-transferrable and non-refundable. They would be losing nothing by continuing to honor the plan since I already paid for it. I feel like their policy essentially amounts to stealing money from unsuspecting customers. My warning to others is to read the fine print and maybe not even go with the maintenance plan (you actually have to pay for the furnace filters on top of the maintenance plan by the way and they aren't that cheap).
