Robert Spano owner of Robert M. Spano Plumbing & Heating Inc. (Family member of my grandfather ""Cousin"" on my mothers side and ""2nd cousin to my mother"". Recommended to me as a great plumber. Far from it and not even close to family oriented.) is the most rude business owner I have ever met. He cursed me out and called me a foul name and degraded me as a client and as a family member. ""Robert Spano called me a little s***. Meanwhile he's shorter than me"". Now imagine just being a client only and not related... scary to say the least. Communication is terrible with this business. They don't return emails, they don't return texts, they don't even email back and when you finally get them on a call they rush you and verbally abuse you as a client and are extremely rude!!! He spoke absolutely terrible to my wife on a phone call which should never be allowed and never apologized. Who down talks a lady and someones wife as a business owner!!!!! Zero consideration or any respect and all about money and business. Robert Spano is not personal at all and has zero heart and only cares about the dollar bill. Spano Plumbing never finished my work at my home and is now demanding a final payment of $1,065 and summoned me to court 475 days later. If it cost me $1,065 to get rid of this terrible business and terrible family member Robert M. Spano Plumbing & Heating then so be it and goodbye. The worst service and business I have ever came across. I have never encountered any business that couldn't hold a conversation about a cost for additional work and have the owner of the business (Robert Spano) lose their temper based off of questions regarding a quote! I never wanted to write this review but, taking me to court for $1,065, work not completed on my home and cursing me out as a client and talking absolutely terrible to my wife on a call. That's enough and other homeowners need to know about it. Robert M. Spano Plumbing and Heating Inc deserves zero stars and is the most disrespectful company I have ever encountered.

Spano has been our plumber for more than ten years. They are responsive, even on weekends if need be. They have recently helped me with a sump pump issue, locating and fixing a pin hole leak, and restoring hot water to a bathroom sink and shower that I'd thought was going to require hundreds of dollars of new pipe, but he fixed it in a half hour. Definitely recommend.

Used this company for some basic plumbing in our business. Sent tech who was unable to complete work. Turns out they have ongoing issues with other tenants in mall as well as with landlord, who has banned them from working in the mall. They sent a BIG bill, over-charging for work they never did. When we called to discuss, they were belligerent and simply sent to collections agency who is now threatening. These people do not operate with any integrity and I would not recommend them.

Spano cracked an expensive new sink during install, refused to cover the cost of a replacement and demanded extra payment to install it. Good way to lose an old customer. We dropped them.

Avoid. Absolutely Horrible. We have woken up with no hot water every three months from the brand new hot water heater they recommended and installed that we purchased from them... their labor to fix it is 4x the amount of materials and be warned their labor is NOT included in estimates that you are quoted and agreed upon so your actual bill to your surprise will be thousands more then what they tell you a job will cost. Save yourself the hassle.

Did a great job installing a new boiler and water heater. They were clean, on time and all within budget for what may be a smaller project for them. The owner came out to my home to put together a quote and he gave me good options (from the cheap but temporary, to the more expensive upfront but long-term solution) as well questions to ask other plumbers who were pricing the job. Some of the other plumbers didn't have good answers to the questions. In terms of pricing they were somewhere in the higher middle of the pack but well worth it (you get what you pay for as per another reviewer). I thought the job would be on the smaller side for them but I wasn't treated that way. I am having an issue with one of the zones in the house but since I've travelled so much for work I haven't had a chance for them to come out fix. I'm quite sure they will come and fix when I can arrange. I'll update Yelp when that time comes.

I've dealt with a ton of contractors around here and they don't get more honest than the guys at Spano. They came when they said they would, always called back and most importantly did a great job. Joe did really good work and never left me with a mess at the end of the day. It wasn't cheap, but you get what you pay for. One of the best companies in upper Westchester.

A great plumbing company and I would highly recommend them. Their staff are so helpful, they don't over charge - probably cheaper than getting an independent plumber too. They always go the extra mile, which is fantastic.
