My mom and I had several good experiences with this company, followed by a very bad experience. We have used this company 3-4 times. The third time, they gave an arrival window. The driver (Mr. Bookhultz son in law) had become available several hours sooner than the expected arrival window and made an honest mistake of not calling the right phone number to let my Mom know he would be coming several hours early. He had one number wrong unfortunately. He shows up at the house, my Mom lets him in even though they didn't plan on having him come at this time and were busy right then. He looked at everything and said he needed 2 people to look at the problem and not 1. Ok, no problem. Says we need to call the office to reschedule for another visit. My mom calls the office, on the third attempt she gets ahold of the receptionist that makes nasty comments about hearing my mom say in the background that it was a convenient time for them but wasn't a convenient time for us, which is completely true, we didn't plan our schedules around them coming at the new time they chose to come at. Sounding frantic and uneasy, she says she's only ever had to drop a customer 4 times and thats what they have to do to us, and that they can't work with us anymore. Overkill much?? As a business owner of 24 full time employees, I understand business efficiency and having to keep the guys moving to not pay them for a lot of drive time, but if you're going to change your arrival window, you need to at least make contact with the customer at a bare minimum of sending a text or leaving a voicemail to have proof of notice for change of time, neither of which were done by this company. This company is reliable in way that they do come out when they say they will or earlier. Mr. Bookhultz himself (the owner) is a great guy. He charges a lot and I don't agree with some of his business practices, but he makes good money so more power to him. He sent someone out one time to unclog our bathroom tub. The guy spent about 11 seconds with one of our plungers to do it, and charged us something like $150 for the visit. As a return customer, I don't know why they wouldn't have just advised us to try that on our own at home... Mr. Bookhultz did come out in a snow storm to fix a broken water pipe as an emergency visit, and he did a quick and excellent job doing our water heater. However, we will not be contacting this company again in the future, as his receptionist is a terrible reflection of his business and a bad example of how a business should treat customers.

When I called to see if they could help, he said ""would you like us to come today?"" Not aware that saying 'sure, if you are able to' on a Saturday would cost ""overtime"", i.e. time and a half, we ended up paying $240 just to get the disposal ""unjammed"" and debris sucked out. Would've easily waited until Monday if there was transparency about the costs up front, which would've been $160. Instead, when I called later to inquire, Robert simply said about the overtime costs, ""I assume you would know as a customer."" Afterwards, I found another plumber who has the same cost weekdays and weekend and would've just been $150. (College Park, MD)

Amazing customer service, friendly family business that came out and swapped our gas control switch in quick order at a fair price! The technician was very friendly and professional and I'd recommend this business to anyone looking for a plumber! I very highly recommend this business!

It's really nice to be able to share a super positive service experience and simultaneously give props to these friendly pros. They arrived on time (a little early, in fact), did the job in about 30 minutes, and charged exactly what they quoted. They also left everything clean and dry. Voila -- hot water in our bathroom sinks again, and for a very reasonable price. As the owner of an older home it's so nice to know we now have someone we can count on when things go kerplooey. Highly recommend! P.S. They charged no fee to come out for their estimate either. Nice.

Robert is my now go to Plumber. He is friendly, down to earth and his experience is top notch. He didn't scam me in pricing and I honestly can't say enough good things. He's actually passed a 5 star rating but that's is high as I could rate. I've had Len The Plumber and BGE Home come in and I can say they will never be invited back into my home. Do yourself a favor and call Robert for all your plumbing needs!

Mr. Bookhultz was highly recommended by our neighborhood list serve. We were not disappointed. In fact, we were delighted! We just had Robert come to our house to do multiple jobs: replacing faucets, pipes, laundry tub, etc.. We live in an older home, and needed some repair work done. He was very quick to respond to our call, scheduled with us promptly, and was on time (to the second!). He was very nice, honest & informative. He & his assistant did excellent work, cleaned up everything- he even took away the old laundry tub! I came home from work to find everything done & no mess to clean up (as I have experienced with other plumbers). His price was very reasonable & really for the work done, less than I expected. I understand that he also does bathroom remodeling, so we plan to use him for this, as well as any future plumbing needs.

I was recommended to them by a good friend of mine. She and her mother have used them for awhile. I called up this morning because my kitchen sink has been backing up and no Drano or Liquid Plumber was helping. The lady Marlene said they could come out this afternoon -I was shocked & grateful-especially being a Friday! The plumber came within the window of time she had stated-again, a nice plus! He fixed it quickly and even gave me some tips for the future. I appreciate their honesty and will definitely use them again!!

I have nothing but nice things to say about these guys. They're professional - they arrive when they say they will, do good work that lasts, and charge reasonable prices. I first used them when our sump pump broke and our basement started to flood. It was 10 pm on a Friday night, and raining, and I called around - people were either closed or said they'd come and then called and canceled. Robert answered his own phone, came, made the fix, and saved the day. That was over 10 years ago. I've used them ever since. Today they arrived on time, fixed a leaky toilet and replaced a leaky pipe, and were done in about an hour. Awesome!
