Office staff has unpleasant business manners! There are better plumbers in town!

Robby's Rooter came out today to check for 3 issues: toilet leak, squeeky kitchen faucet handle, and to check the drains to make sure nothing needed to be snaked. My service technician was Francisco. He arrived on time and worked fast. He said the drains were fine.... so he did not charge me for a service that was not needed. Toilet needed a new bottom seal, faucet just needed a new stem... total charge: $130.
Great job, guys.... thank you!

Had a sewer back up and was referred to Robby's Rooter by a neighbor and friend. Couldn't have been more satisfied with the job performed. Arrived 20 mins after my call. Very thorough, very professional. There was a potential big problem that would have cost me thousands... after the inspection the total bill came to $145, and the man was here for 2.5 hours.
In regard to some of the bad reviews on here, I have to say that I probably wouldn't call a ""rooter"" service to handle my other plumbing needs. Just sayin'.

My first time calling them will be my last.
I scheduled them between 2:30 and 5:00. At 5:30, I called, was placed on hold for five minutes. I hung up.
They obviously don't need my business.

We've been living in L.A. apartments for so long now that the prospect of an actual appointment with a real, live plumber feels like a great gift and a huge triumph! Our superintendent responded in place of management earlier today, telling us she would put us last on ""The List"" for a plumber who, much to our luck, just happened to be on-site for the day. Of course it sucks to be last for anything, but there's no point in complaining when we're already on the damn list and the plumber is a-comin'!
Marco has moved on from Robby's Rooter since my previous yelp below, but the equally fantastic CONRAD came by as promised with his training associate, Nestor. Conrad skillfully assessed and diagnosed our newly leaking pipe and non-flushing toilet, and his capable associate was quick to find the right parts and pitch in with toilet repair tasks as well. While we waited for Nestor to retrieve a final part from their vehicle downstairs, the highly personable Conrad cracked a few jokes at the expense of my wobbly, diabetic cat, but he obviously seems to be a cat lover himself.
After completing and double-checking both repairs in less than half an hour, Conrad located a hot water (something we've been going without until now) switch for the bathroom sink and TURNED IT ON! A totally unexpected bonus for sure (thanks again, Conrad!), and one we will appreciate using as long as we have to live here. I tried to send them off with a couple of beers, but only Nestor took his, as Conrad doesn't drink.
Leaky pipes might be endurable in the short term, but how long do you think you can go without a flushing toilet? You shouldn't have to find out, and thankfully, since Robby's best guys took care of us, we won't have to either!

Reliable plumbers that know what they are doing and are not exorbitantly expensive can be difficult to find. Grateful for Robby's Rooter when plumbing problems arise.

I hope Robbys reads this. I don't want to get anyone in particular in trouble, so I'm posting here instead of complaining directly. Your plumbers are EXCELLENT, BUT:
When a plumber walks into your home with a plastic pan that's covered with other people's brown sewage (excrement?), it's really quite disgusting. I even offered to provide my own pail if he'd put the filthy one back in the truck, but he either didn't understand or didn't want to be bothered.
Please find a way to have your plumbers provided with sanitary implements when they enter someone's home.

Great job. Showed up on time. Reasonable quote and fixed the issue right then and there. Very thorough. This is the second time we have used your service and will continue to do so.

As a building manager, I call Robby's on a regular basis. I always get great service from the plumbers that come out, but I have been getting attitude from the women who answer the phones. I know one of them is Robby's wife, and she has been extremely rude. It's a real turnoff because when I am quoted a time frame and tell a tenant to be home, and the plumber doesn't show up, it us not unreasonable for me to call and find out what the updated ETA is. When I get bad attitude coming at me over the phone, it's unlikely that I will be calling back for their service.

I recommend Robby's Rooter to my clients because they provide more service during a sewer inspection than other plumbers/sewer inspectors I have come across.
Most sewer inspectors put the camera in the line & if it is blocked they take it out & say ""have someone rooter the line"" (which is an extra cost).
Robby's Rooter tries every possible solution including running water down the line, putting soap down the line to get the camera further & usually succeeds. They provide a DVD so you have a record of what was seen. If you need someone who can diagnose your plumbing problems & provide smart solutions, contact them. Robby's Rooter offers a better value and service for your money.
