As other reviewers have said- Jeremy is the real deal. He knows his business and was able to solve a blocked drain( that other plumbers wanted to charge much more for) with patience and diligence. He was pleasant, knowledgeable respectful and clean.
We have no problem recommending him to others.
Will definitely use him again.

Jeremy saved me over $14,000. My home was built in '64. When my kitchen/laundry room drain started to slow I called out a plumber with a $77 'special' that included a free camera inspection of the drain. That company's tech came out and went only about seven feet before pulling out a root ball. I wasn't home but my wife was there although she was inside the house when the tech said he pulled out a root ball. He said he refused to go farther because that usually means the pipe was broken and he didn't want to make it worse until he had a chance to look at it through the camera. My wife said the snake line he was using had no blade or hook on the end so she was a little perplexed at how the root ball could have stuck to the end of the line as he pulled it out. She said he showed her the root ball on the end of the snake and it was like it was just slipped onto the end of the snake.

I was there when they brought the camera the next day. This time it was the tech's supervisor, the tech, and another 'apprentice'. They really played up that it's probably a broken pipe since they are cast iron and they corrode over time and these are old houses. I saw the video screen as he put the camera down the clean out drain. From what I could see it didn't look good although I'm certainly not an expert. He pointed out how the pipe looked broken and was coming apart. There were no signs of any roots but he said they probably pulled out what was at that spot. They had only gone about seven feet again and said there was no reason to go further since they might cause a broken piece to further clog the drain. They sent me an estimate of $14,600 to do extensive work to repair/replace the piping to the main sewer line.

I told them I wanted to get a second opinion and was I lucky I called Jeremy at Rob-N-Hood. Jeremy came out and said he's seen this before, with the root ball and 'broken pipe' explanation from other companies. He said to let him snake the drain and we could see if there was damage or not. Jeremy said it would be easy to tell once he started snaking the line. He used a small blade/scoop on the end of the snake. Well we ran the water while he ran the snake and it kept coming out of the clean out as he ran the snake down the line... much farther than seven feet this time. He eventually ran into a blockage but was able to clear it and the water stopped coming out of the clean out. Jeremy ran out almost 70 feet of the snake, twice to make sure, and he showed how the line was now cleared and the water was draining exceptionally well. Even the bathrooms on the other side of the house were draining much better since the line extended beyond that part of the drain pipe. Jeremy explained that these cast iron pipes, unless something extraordinary happens, usually last quite a long time... much longer than being led to believe by others bent on getting money for unnecessary repairs. It's just important to perform regular maintenance to keep them clean from debris and roots.

I couldn't believe I was almost taken for over $14,000 by an unscrupulous company. I wonder how many others have been taken in this manner. I will never use another plumber other than Jeremy. He is one of the few with integrity these days.

After receiving clarification from Kelly about the cost of drain cleaning, I am changing my review to 5 Stars. Sorry to have tarnished Jeremy's reputation.

Jeremy is definitely a great plumber, he knows his business inside out but I would also point that he is very honest, professional and extremely helpful, I just created a profile in Yelp, only to give him 5 stars, this guy is a rockstar!!!, he came two times to help me with an issue that I have with my water heater, he went the extra mile and explained me in detail until all my questions were answer. At the end the problem seems to be something with my vent, he went to Home Depot and get the part for me!!!! (Totally out of his responsibility)!!, thanks Jeremy, I would definitely use his service in the future.

Been using Rob-N-Hood plumbing for about 4 years. Always great service at a fair price. Can't imagine using a different company in the area.

Jeremy at Rob-N-Hood plumbing was truly a pleasure to work with. I was having issues fairly unexpectedly with my water heater and the first plumber I had who took a look at it quoted me $2500+ to repair! I couldn't help but feel this was outrageous so I made a few more calls encountered a few more high quotes until I connected with Rob-N-Hood plumbing. Jeremy took his time and attempted a cheaper fix to see if it'd do the job. When we realized we had a bigger issue on our hands, he did not charge me for the first attempt and agreed to come back, do it the right way and near half the cost of our first quote!

I have no doubts I will continue to use Jeremy for any future plumbing issues I may encounter and would highly recommend him to anyone!

Some months ago, our hot water heater went out. Jeremy was able to get to us the next day. Whew! Last week, we came home to a toilet with a leak in the tank. Two days later, that toilet was replaced. Nothing but good things to say! He even took the time to help an elderly neighbor saw his Christmas Tree in half.

Jeremy came right away to check on my water heater. Very honest and straightforward. The light turned off and I had no hot water. It's not broken yet so he turned it on for me free of charge. Did not try and upsell. Said he'll come right away if it goes out again.

Nearly 100 5-star reviews, I decided to try Rob-n-hood plumbing. I had a leak in the downstairs bathroom, all I could hear was a hiss coming from the wall with a damp baseboard. Within an hour, they sent a plumber who cut a 4""x4"" hole in my wall right where the leak was. He joked that it rarely happens that way but lucky for me he had his x-ray glasses on that day. The person who installed the baseboard shot a nail into one of the copper pipes. He cut the section that was punctured and soldered a new section together. He left me a heater/fan and picked it up the next day. I hope I never have to call them again but if another problem occurs, I'm reassured, knowing there is a local plumbing company I could call.
