I'm actually sad to write this update. We've been happy, loyal customers for years and have always been quite pleased with Jon and his team. In December we noticed an interior brick wall was damp. It was under an upstairs bathroom, so we immediately called. On 12/11 one of the team came out and said *with certainty* that it was not a plumbing issue. He checked the water meter and said if we hadn't been using that bathroom and the wall was still wet then it had to be a mason or roof or other problem - NOT plumbing. There was no ambiguity. In fact, I have him on video saying these things including if it were leaking from there then the sheetrock would be wet before the bricks would get wet. So we started down a wild goose chase to figure out the water issue. First we called the roofer. Nope, roof and flashing all in order. $50 for that. Then we called a chimney mason. We told them we ruled out plumbing. They theorized that perhaps because we didn't have a chimney liner the moisture from the HVAC and HWH was seeping into the chimney and working its way back into the bricks. So we paid them $1750 to do the chimney liner. 2 weeks later we still had a wet wall.

They came back out again and applied waterproofing to the chimney to ensure rainwater wasn't a contributing factor. 2 weeks after that (a month after the liner was installed) they came back out again because we *still* had a wet wall and they couldn't figure out why what they did hadn't fixed it, they discovered that the sink discharge above the wall, exactly where we initially told the plumber we thought the problem was, was causing water to spill out from the brick wall.

I immediately called the office (admittedly anger and not very friendly) demanding some responsibility for the misdiagnosis. Jon came out to look and claimed no responsibility for the money we had wasted because of their misdiagnosis of the original problem. Jon said if they done work they would stand behind it but because no work was done, they're not responsible for us spending money on other contractors.

Then, the same guy who had misdiagnosed the original problem was sent out to fix it. The discharge pipe had rotted out. There was a huge crumbling hole, a hole I'm certain was not that big 2 months prior when we first called them.

As a result of this we have brick that is damaged and have spent $1800 on two contractors to come out and do work that wasn't needed and that wasn't the problem.

And the kicker is, when they came back out to fix it - not only was there no apology but they charged us full price for the work, knowing that their error cost us $1800. Very poor decision. I would have cut them some slack had they done the repair discounted or for free as a show of good faith but nope!

Great plumber are not expensive, they are priceless! I am so glad that we have Roan and King as a plumber close to our neighborhood. Paul and Martin came to our house today for a faucet issue in our garage that we couldn't fix. They diagnosed it and remedied it in minutes. They previously came to our house to replace a bathroom sink and a clog in our kitchen sink. Their plumbers are extremely friendly, courteous, tenacious, and determined to fix the issue in hand. Their prices are extremely fair and honest. It's a blessing to have this company so close. Thank you Roan and King. A++++++ I will definitely use them again and recommend them.

Called and asked to have a water leak issue fixed on my water heater. Plumber looked at the water heater and noticed the issue was a copper pipe above water heater. Charged me $180 for the repair. A day later I noticed I still had water leaking from water heater, called the plumber back and when he arrived he told me the water heater needed to be replaced since the issue was internally. I asked for a refund or even a partial refund on the repair. Why did you repair the unit if it needed to be replaced anyways, seems like a waste of money. I should've just replaced it from the start and saved myself the 180$. Like dumping money trying to salvage a water heater that needed to be thrown out. If I call an expert to come fix my problem then he should evaluate the entire problem and explain what needed to be done. Tell me from the start that I have several leaks and that I'm better off replacing the unit under warranty. Do not use this plumber.

First of all, I always want support local businesses when I can - rather than the big corporate chain guys. John King is located literally around from my house, seeing his vehicles all over town. Of course, Roan & King is going to be my initial call.

I've found their receptionist polite friendly and engaging. Paul, the worker was was precise and did very nice work- no mess what so ever.

Most of the price was on the mark, what I estimated it to be - reasonably priced!

Do yourself a favor and make these guys, your first and last call for your Heating and Plumbing needs.

John King is a really nice guy and an extremely knowledgeable plumber! Also, very reasonably priced. I would truly recommend him to anyone! I had a tricky situation in my house where I did some of my own work but I needed a professional to help fix things up. A few other plumbers that came were extremely rude and condescending. John however was non-judgmental and super nice. Also, MORE knowledgeable!!

For example, when I did my own plumbing, I didn't understand venting needs. Three other plumbers that I called over told me that they needed to create vents all the way out the roof (and charge a ton of money for it)! Then when John came, he informed me that, that wouldn't be necessary and now-a-days they have small mechanical vents that are completely up to code. Clearly John is up to date on his plumbing rules and technology!! A more knowledgeable plumber will know the simplest way to fix your situation (therefore not need to charge so much) so go with John King!

Called these guys at 11:30am with a leaking shower faucet. Their system is to take a message, call their guys, and the guys call you. That's fine in theory, but not what these guys actually practice.

The call never came, and when I called them 4 hours later to see what was going on, I was told they would have to take my info again. This time, the woman on the phone couldn't write down my name, despite spelling it 4 times. Incompetence all around with these guys, I wouldn't trust them to do any kind of work.

They replaced my kitchen faucet. They came on time and did a great job at a great price (they did the work for less than the estimated price). They didn't charge me extra for replacing the two supply lines. Will definitely call them the next time I need plumbing work done.

I recently contracted the services of Roan and King to install a water heater, water pressure pump and a gas pipeline to a generator. I am very pleased with the work done. John and his assistant, Jake, delivered the jobs with a high quality performance. I did not know John before contracting him but I can attest that he is an honest decent guy. His quotes were reasonable. I like the fact that he always returned my calls and text messages. I will recommend them without any reservation.

I'm a realtor in the area and often have unexpected client issues and sometime urgent emergencies with homes I am selling. Jon King and his staff have always been responsive, polite and meticulous in the work they do. They are honest, hardworking and operate with integrity. I've had clients tell me that Jon fixed various units instead of replacing units that other contractors were dishonestly going to charge them to replace. I am very picky about who I recommend and I can say that they have always exceeded my expectations. I use them for my own home as well.

In working with contractors I rarely find ones that are fair in price, exemplary in quality of workmanship, and great at service (taking care of things that don't go perfect). But John has consistently proved that to his standard way of doing business. They are excellent plumbers, and excellent at service.
