Seymour N.After going back and forth trying decide on some work to do in our Mr Morrison sent us a written proposal to do a set of jobs for a set amount. The itemized bill totaled $1,800. We posted a $900 deposit. Mr Morrison performed one of the jobs itemized at $150 and that was it. We tried relentlessly to get him to finish the work, promising to pay him the balance upon completion.
We corresponded with Mr Morrison asking him to finish the job but he refused. He told us that his prices were based on him performing multiple jobs. We have detailed proposals and cancelled checks.
After we threatened a contractor's complaint only then did we get back part of our money, keeping $250 for ""expenses"" We are still owed $250 and don't expect to see it.
Beware.
