I had Rich fix an electrical Issue I had before I sold my condo. Took a few hours and he did a great job with what I requested. Price was what he quoted me beforehand and there were not issues. I will use him again if I encounter any issues during the sale.

Rich rocks! I am a renter. My landlord contacted Rich to do a toilet install. Rich installed a new toilet in record time and even went the extra mile and used the paint in the garage to paint the wall behind the toilet that wasn't previously painted. Laid down a furniture blanket in the entryway to avoid tracking in dirt and mud as well as a towel in the bathroom. He cleaned up all of the trash and took it with him. He left my house like he wasn't even there. Good guy!

Update 7/17/17
I noticed a hairline crack in the tank of the toilet installed in January. The toilet had been rocky when sitting down on it and getting up from it since install. I might assume that would eventually put a lot of pressure on the tank. Also installed about 5 inches from the wall. I called Rich when I noticed the crack and he said the ""toilet tank has flexibility and in 30 years never had a toilet crack."" Well he called me back and American Standard admitted that has happened before. As for the rocking, Rich would not take responsibility. He said he would pick up the toilet and get a new one from the manufacturer and install the new toilet for $225 labor. My stepdad came over last night and we trashed that toilet and installed a new one on recommendation from a friend who is a plumber who advised of a good brand. New toilet $130, installation free. Turns out that the toilet was not installed on a level surface hense the rocking. No more rocking and flush with the wall. Rich is expansive and rushes through his work. I admit I should have had him come back right away to fix the rocking.

Rich is awesome! When Home Depot wouldn't install our new dishwasher because it is hard wired, he came to the rescue. As a bonus, he fixed a door that's been giving us trouble--no charge. He's quick, professional, clean and just an all around nice guy. His office staff is so pleasant too! We've needed a handyman we could trust for a looooong time. His pricing is very reasonable, so I'm sure we'll have him back for more projects. The best part, as a mom of two young children, I'm 100% comfortable having him in my home.

I called and they came out the same day,due to the winds in the area, my wind turbines were making a very loud noise. They were very customer service oriented and helpful. I would highly recommend and also use their services again.

We just moved to Chatsworth so we googled Handyman in the area and the yelp reviews came right up. I dont think the reviews are good enough to describe how awesome R&K service is. Within 30 minutes Rich came over, and instead of just giving us a BS estimate he started on our projects right away. He completed five simple tasks in like an hour. We had a lot of questions about our new house and he was able to answer them all, if there was anything out of his field of expertise he had a name to refer us to for further help. It was great! We would HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend their service!!!!!!!

When people on here say FAST they mean F-A-S-T. I had a washer/dryer delivered today and I needed the dryer to be connected. I called Michelle when the guys were just finished with the delivery and Rich got here while I was still signing the paperwork. They went in and got right to work (oh wow, I'm awful...I just realized I didn't offer them any water or anything...sorry guys).

I didn't have a gas line that was needed so they sold me one at a reasonable price. Rich moved the equipment around to make sure that my door wouldn't hit it and then explained a small issue with the heat function of the dryer (because of how my laundry room is set up). After they were done, they gave me information on another small house issue and looked at lighting features to give me a quote for future jobs. I love that I could pay by credit card using square and that I got a receipt right away.

All in all they were friendly, super fast and professional. I don't always leave a Yelp review, but when I do it's because the service was AWESOME and I encourage others to use them as well.

I will be calling (and reviewing) again very soon. Thanks guys :)

Guys showed up on-time and cranked it out. Price was less than what I was expecting. Will definitely use them again.

Per my landlord's policy, I had to hire a licensed, bonded contractor to install an AC unit in my apartment window. A very simple task that does not traditionally require any professional help and shouldn't be time consuming or difficult for a mere mortal who can follow simple instructions, let alone a pro. Anyhow, since I like living in my apartment I complied.

After calling around Craigslist (...I know) I received a couple of decent quotes from a few companies ($150-$300) but then I called Rich of R&K Tradesmen. I described the job to him and he had big manly questions for me, things like: ""Can you pick up the unit all by yourself?"" and was in awe when I said that yes, I, a silly woman, was able to lift a unit weighing no more than 40 pounds. He then quoted me $400 for the job. I couldn't help but actually laugh - that is exorbitant, especially since I already knew his competitors' rates, and the AC unit only cost $250 to begin with! Rich then attempted to educate me, saying that he has a contractor's license and not just a driver's license (implying that I'm too dumb to know the difference) and that I'm probably being lied to by all of these other companies. I explained to him how simple it is to check a company's credentials using the Department of Consumer Affairs Contractors website and that I had checked his and every other company I was considering. It wasn't a heated conversation but his condescending tone didn't leave me feeling like a valued potential customer.

My boyfriend was also calling potential companies and he also called Rich. He described the same job and - believe it or not - was quoted only $200! (That's right. A $200 price difference for the exact same thing! Sketchy, no?!) As my boyfriend didn't know the interaction I had just had with Rich, he asked him to send company documents to our landlord for approval. He was one of two companies we had approved by management.

When my boyfriend and I connected the dots of our discussions, he recounted for me how Rich had also given him an attitude the whole time (I think his description was ""two-bit craigslist huckster""?). Needless to say, we hired the other approved company to install our unit. (For $150, I might add)

Yesterday we received a rather hilarious voicemail from Rich threatening legal action for using his documents to hire another contractor. We have no idea where he got this idea, except that we didn't hire him, so perhaps he thinks that we must be using his documents to commit fraud?! Crazy.

Based on the other one-star review from Everywhere E, this guy appears to be very lawsuit-happy.

I didn't have Rich do any work, but if his contracting skills are anything like his interpersonal skills, I'd advise you to find someone else. AVOID!!
