Recommended Customer Reviews
We have used Rizzo Plumbing and Heating for general maintenance on our old heating system, once when our heat would not turn on and more recently for a leaking pipe that was causing a wet spot on our basement ceiling. Everyone I have dealt with at Rizzo Plumbing and Heating has been professional, friendly and helpful. The work has always been done quickly and the cost for services very reasonable. I have never had an issue reaching someone or getting a call back. They are very responsive which you want when you're having a heating or plumbing issue. I would highly recommend Rizzo Plumbing and Heating.
I had the unfortunate experience of needing to call for plumbing services. I say ""unfortunate"" only because who enjoys an appliance failing, or a pipe breaking, or a toilet or drain clogging? No one I know. But this experience went from ""unfortunate"" to stumbling upon, what I believe to be, the best experience one could ask for.
Rizzo Plumbing was recommended to me by the property manager at my condo complex. I placed a call to Rizzo because my garbage disposal quit working and it was my first experience with this situation. My call was answered and I was immediately met with patience, professionalism, and a tone of complete reassurance. As promised, I had a call back in no time, and an appointment was made. Joe showed up on time, went right to ask what was going on, and then sprung into action. Joe was professional, friendly, and highly efficient. He identified the problem, corrected the problem, and then took the time to explain to me what happened with the equipment and how to avoid that in the future!
Joe, you're awesome at what you do and just a nice, friendly, outgoing guy. Please don't ever lose that really great customer service attitude.
Thank you, Joe, and thank you, Rizzo!!!

Awesome service all the time! Very responsive and reliable. Had toilet fixed and used before for sink.
Andrew A.Rizzo has helped me with a lot of work in Cohasset from remodels to emergency repairs. They are my #1 plumber that I recommend to all friends in the area. They are professional, friendly, accurate, thorough and most importantly dependable.
At my last boiler emergency, I called and even though they (luckily) haven't had to come to my house in 5 years, they assured me ""don't worry, you're still a customer, we can dispatch someone first thing tomorrow.""
I have nothing but good things to say about everyone who I've worked with.
1st time user an now a customer for lifeCame recommended by a friend an outdid all expectations. Fast ,professional ,affordable, just great.
Despicable treatment of senior citizen. Paid in full for job left unfinished. Leaving a senior without hot water and his response was basically ""tough"".
And as it turns out they had misdiagnosed the problem so add incompetence to list of offenses. After being paid in full $605 to repair a Navien heat & hot water system there was still no hot water. Mr Rizzo was rude on phone and refused to come out and complete job for no additional charge or to refund money for unnecessary repairs. A more reputable plumber came out properly diagnosed the problem repaired the unit restored hot water in fraction of time at fraction of cost. Please give your business to honest hard working competent plumbers . John Rizzo neither deserves or appreciates it.
John Rizzo must have paid for all of these positive reviews. We had the worst experience. We had a faucet that was dripping. The shuts offs were so bad I couldn't do the job myself. Called on a Fri. Monday John shows up. Was in my home 15 minutes. Told me what he was going to do. Asked if I would be home on Tuesday. I said yes and told me he would see me then. No show no call all week. Showed up 4pm on Fri unannounced. Unhooked both water lines to my sink and said they would be back. No show Monday and were told by the office Lady that we aren't even on the schedule for Monday. Finally showed up Wed at noon. Took them an hour to put in shut offs.
Received a 600 dollar bill for a little over 2 hours work. Left my kitchen dirty after claiming they pride themselves on leaving the work area cleaner than when they came. John made a comment that the house was messy anyways. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing at Rizzo plumbing. Poor poor customer service. Neither John or Mike chose to put a mask on when entering my house. They have no respect.
I called Rizzo after two other plumbers said no to the work I needed done. They penciled me in the next day and fixed the problem in less than an hour. Great service on the phone, great service in person. Highly recommend!
Roberta D.What a great place! I reached Rizzo because of 2 issues going on. We had a clog in the sink that was causing the water to not drain. We also had a decaying pipe in the house we recently moved into.
I found Rizzo yelp and we reached out to them immediately. They got back to us and came the very next day. The plumber who arrived was extremely friendly, wore a mask with everything going on. He explained what was happening did the work within an hour and plus it didn't break the bank. They took multiple payment options as well (credit, cash, or check).
This place will definitely be my go to if we ever need any plumbing work done!
Mike S.Quick, honest, and reasonable prices. We noticed our toilet was slowly leaking into the basement down the fill line on a Friday afternoon, so we called around. Some of the other local plumbers wouldn't come until Monday without an upcharge and were pretty unpleasant to deal with on the phone. Rizzo, on the other hand, sent someone in 20 minutes and their customer service was fantastic. Also worth noting, the plumber took great care of ""social distancing"", wearing a mask and changed out gloves, and touching as few things as possible during the COVID-19 crisis. Replaced the fill line and valve for just under $250. Other guys were charging $350 just to walk in the door. I will continue to use this company going forward.
