We contacted Rivers when our A/C didn't work during the June 2021 heatwave. The owner himself came to our house and determined that the control wire from the thermostat to the condenser had been chewed through by some sort of vermin. He rigged up a temporary connection in the house to get us through the heatwave. He returned later with another technician to run the wire beneath the house.

He was prompt and professional. His office contacted us when he was running behind schedule, and he arrived as promised. Definitely will use him again in the future.

Rivers. Actually care. My landlord was okay with my kids and i freezing with a broken heater. My landlord told me to wait. I couldnt wait. It was 30 degrees at night. I called rivers and they brought heat to my home. My experience was wonderful. I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart for the kind letter and gift they gave my children. It ment the world to us. There is good people in this world and rivers are some of those people. I wish everything would break in my home again just so rivers could grace us with knowledge and good conversation again. Excellent work keep it up.

""New World Record: 5 Minutes to Unclog Toilet!""

I always find it interesting to see how fast a plumber can fix problems. This was a typical drain stoppage, but I could not fix it, so I had to call in the professionals. I have used Rivers countless times, always with excellent results.

No, they are not cheap, but if you want the best you're going to have to pay the going rate. In all the years I've used their services, they have not made a mistake even once.

I called for an appointment, and Ann arranged for same-day service. A pleasant young man, Ryan, arrived on-time, and I showed him to the area. I covertly retrieved my stopwatch and prepared to begin the countdown. I was tempted to hide
the plumber's tools, but that would have been unsportsmanlike.

As Ryan toed the starting line, I realized that we were in the presence of a elite tradesman.

""Okay, start the timer!"" I whispered to my wife. Of course, we did not want to put any pressure on young Ryan, so we did not divulge that he was being timed.

My wife and I estimated that Ryan would have our toilet unclogged in 15 minutes. But guess what? He did it in 4 minutes flat! A new world record!

As I wrote out the check, I couldn't help wondering if I had gone into the wrong occupation. On the other hand, I was proud to be part of plumbing history.

Another awesome experience with Steve Rivers. Steve and his crew have helped us with many issues with our home, rental properties and client's homes. Our tenant texted us on Wednesday saying that the AC had quit working and Steve made time to take a look at it the same day. 3 days later (on a Saturday) he was able to replace the A/C unit for us and was able to do so without having to replace the existing furnace, despite it being an older mid-90's unit, thus saving us $5K.

We called at 8:55 on Friday night and left a message explaining the issue with our hot water heater. Within 10 minutes, Steve called back and we made an appointment for him to come at 1:30 Saturday afternoon. Saturday morning he contacted us asking for a picture of the faulty part so that he could be sure that he had it the correct parts.
When he arrived he was wearing a mask, had the correct part and was ready to go. When he finished, we asked if he could fix another plumbing issue which he quickly did.
We are very satisfied customers and next time, we will call him first!

Steve was an incredible help on the weekend after New Years. As luck always seems to have it, we had a sink backup on late Friday afternoon. Instead of going directly to voicemail, it was wonderful to get Steve on the phone. He spent several calls trying to diagnose and make suggestions that unfortunately were futile. So he eventually agreed to come help us in person, on Sunday, just hours before his 49er game!
I highly recommend him!

Had a bad shower valve that wouldn't turn off. Had to turn off the main water. Rivers came out right away. they had the right parts needed, fixed in no time. very friendly worker, even put a towel in the tub to protect it. this is the second time we have used them. had a loud noise in the furnace, and two different company's wanted to replace the furnace. Steve at Rivers came and made a repair, and it works great, and the noise is gone. Great company, will refer Rivers to anyone who ask.

Rivers Plumbing has done most of our plumbing work the last several years. Steve, who has done most of the work when we have used this company, is knowledgeable and efficient. He arrives on time, or in the one case that I can remember where that was not practical, called in advance to notify me of the delay. The prices charged have been reasonable. We have never had a problem with the work after it is completed. Steve is honest, and as far as we know, has never recommended unnecessary work. He even told me, in one case, what I could do myself which would avoid future plumbing visits for the same problem. He has earned our trust.

I was so nervous to have a plumber come out, because I've had bad contractor after bad contractor in our fixer upper house. STEVE WAS A PLUMBING ANGEL!! he was not only incredibly kind and knowledgeable, and found solutions that mostly allowed us to do simple fixes and SAVE A LOT OF MONEY! He even fixed an extra little annoyance and found a very inexpensive yet holistic solution to an annoyance that had been bothering us for a year... if only I had known and called earlier! In addition, he was great with our dogs, even with our nippy little guy! I highly recommend Rivers & Steve!

I definitely recommend Rivers Plumbing, Heating and Air to others. Our air conditioning went out in a heat wave, and I was desperate to get some relief from the heat. I called three other companies and was told I would need to wait a week for an appointment. I called Rivers and they were able to get to my house the next day, even though it was a Saturday. They did not charge me an additional charge for Saturday service, which the other three companies did. Steve came to my house and was able to diagnose and treat the problem that day, except for an item that needed to be ordered. The staff called me the following Monday to schedule the additional work. They were extremely courteous and friendly. The work was performed and finally, I had relief from the heat. Thank you
