Excellent work and service. Russ was able to come out the next day and fix our outside spigot. I absolutely recommend River Bend when you need a plumber!

We have had them to our house on multiple occasions and every time has been a positive experience. I used to hate having to call a plumber but Russ at River Bend has
changed my perception. I would highly recommend River Bend Plumbing to anyone.

I am not one to write reviews, but I feel I need to write this one. We used Riverbend plumbing to replace our existing dishwasher with an upgraded one. We had called to get an estimate, which was $175 plus parts, his estimate was reasonable and he could get to our house quickly so we chose Riverbend. Our kitchen was custom built by the previous owner so when Russ arrived and pulled out the old dishwasher we realized that the electrical was not up to code. Russ wouldn't touch the electrical (understandably) so we had to put off install. He was in our house for a total of 20 minutes. We called Tennies Electric (HIGHLY RECOMMEND) and they were out the next day and had all the electric done in less than 30 minutes. Russ said he could come back later that day. He called me at 9:26 (I have it time stamped in my phone.) saying he was leaving West Bend and heading to our house in Hartford. He arrived shortly before 10. He got started and quickly found out that the previous owners plumbing was also incorrect, so he got to work on that. It took him about 15 minutes to adjust everything and my husband helped him bring in the dishwasher. With the electric taken care of it went in rather quickly and then he hit another ""snag"". He said our cabinet wasn't deep enough to fit the dishwasher so he would have to screw it into the front of cabinet and leave some of the washer exposed (I wish I would have taken before pics), but ""we could get so trim wood and frame it out and paint the wood to match the cabinets and it would be fine."" I was so upset, but don't handle confrontation well so I just said, ""ok, if that's all you can do."" With that being done shortly before 11 am, he presented me with the bill for $364 and some change. I wrote a check and got him out, feeling completely sick to my stomach at how crappy it looked. It didn't even hit me until 10 minutes later, $364?!?! Wait $175+$50 in parts (which I could've bought myself for $10 at Walmart) should only be $225. Looking at the bill more carefully he charged us for 2.5 hours of labor @ $102 an hour plus $51 for a service charge. I had my husband call to question the bill (again I hate confrontation) and Russ' response, ""I should've charged you more. It was a really difficult job."" Yeah, a difficult job which only took you 1.5 hours and you did a terrible job. Now I was sick cause I over paid AND my dishwasher looked terrible. Well I am not the type to refuse payment for a service, but I could try to do something about how bad it looked. I unscrewed the washer, pulled it out and found that a piece of kickboard from the other cabinet was sticking into the back of the cabinet by about 3 inches, preventing it from being pushed in fully. 3 minutes later, with the help of my electric hand saw, I HAD INSTALLED my dishwasher perfectly. Russ and Riverbend are not worth your time. He is not willing to do the work to make the job right. Pay a little more (although he will probably be just as expensive - our other quotes were $350) and get someone who will do the job right.
