Complete disregard to clients. I paid them a sizable amount to replace my swamp cooler, and yet they didn't follow through on the work. It's been weeks and I haven't heard from them.

No punctuality. Phone assistant repeatedly explains she has left message with the boss. ""Boss"" has yet to return calls.

Do not use their service.

Riteway installed a new AC in october 2017. Turned on the system early May, it did not work. Ok, they were do to a full charge when we turned on the system. The original Riteway was sold and became 2 different companies. Both refuse to honor any warranty and want to charge to fix system. Went to another company to fix AC. Turns out Riteway never pressurized the system, hole in evaporator coil, had to be replaced. Also never added a filter at the coil. TOTALLY SORRY COMPANYS, both Riteways. Also lost Excel rebate. DO NOT use, you will be sorry.

Hired Riteway for a furnace replacement and AC install. Our experience began with wonderful promises and a good price and ended with absolutely horrible customer service and an incomplete install. Choose another company, this one does not seem to care about retaining customers. We planned to hire them for plumbing work before they screwed us over. I have never written a bad review, but I can't let this one go. The technician (Rod), now owner, gushed about the excellent service HE (not the company) would provide. We expressed concerns because there had not been an AC installed in our house for a very long time and he assured us that he would follow through to make sure everything was running perfectly. If it did not, he would make any adjustments necessary, big or small, at no charge. We were promised a 2 year service agreement from Rod (work on ac and furnace before seasons, etc) and the agreement was a line on our invoice. The systems were installed in November. Rod had to return to install the AC's condensation pump and get it running on a warmer day. He assured us he would call to schedule this. There were not many warm days after the install, so we called in May to schedule the completion of the AC install. There was no record of our install, so we explained everything remaining to the woman in the office. Rod showed up with no idea that he had anything to do but recharge an AC. Therefore, he had to leave to get a part and assured us he would return that morning. We received a call from the office a few hours later that a part had to be ordered, but it was rushed and Rod could come back the next day. That day was too cold, so it wouldn't work. Over the next two business days, I left several messages and did not hear from anyone. I finally called from a different number (they were obviously avoiding me) and was told the part would be in the that day and Rod would be out the next day. Rod did not show up and the technician that did thought he was only installing the pump, had no idea the AC was not ready to turn on. After Rod told him over the phone what to do, we turned on cool and felt the cold air coming out of the vents. Turns out, that was only the cold air circulating from the basement. We had a few issues with the furnace and were told that Rod would call to come out about those since this guy thought he was only installing the pump. This was after I heard the technician on the phone with Rod telling him to breathe and calm down. Side note - we contacted Rod months earlier because we could not use our thermostat app since it was linked to his personal email (looks like he gave us his own thermostat). He never got back to us, so that was one issue. I also asked him about our simple furnace questions when he was here for the AC recharge, so he knew there were still a few little loose ends. This was not new information. I guess the list seemed overwhelming to him and he wanted us to go away. When I called the office a few hours after the technician left because the temp inside went up 2 degrees and the unit wasn't on outside, I was told (after back and forth between office and Rod) it sounded like a Freon leak and they could only help me to a certain point. I asked to have Rod call me. I called again (Rod obviously wasn't going to call back) to see what my 2 year service agreement entitled me to and if it included completing this AC install. The woman in the office had no idea and there was no invoice or estimate on file, so I sent those over. I asked for confirmation via email of what the 2 year service agreement included. After trying to ignore me again, Rod finally confirmed in writing he would not complete the work or honor the agreement since he was now the owner and it is his right to refuse service.

I'd give them 0 stars if possible. They are late, don't complete the work, screw up their invoices and have a rude office staff. Other than that they are great (excuse the sarcasm).

Never in a million years would I recommend this company. Read the nightmare of my experience with them below, at your leisure.

Tuesday November 14, 2017:
I was contacted via text message from ""Rod"" after I submitted a project request to HomeAdvisor requesting quotes on a new water heater. I was quoted $1,064 for a ""Rheem Professional Classic Plus"" electric water heater by text message including installation and running electric service from my basement sub-panel.

Thursday November 16, 2017:
""Roy"" and ""Rod"" come to my house for installation. ""Rod"" runs a 240 volt electric line from my basement sub-panel to the water heater location approximately 10 feet away. ""Roy"" arrives, disconnects and drains old gas water heater, installs new electric heater, and puts in expansion tank. Water heater is functioning.

Saturday November 18, 2017:
I contacted ""Rod"" by text message at the number he provided previously, as we have no hot water. The breaker for the heater on the basement sub-panel is tripping continuously. No answer at this number, so I call Riteway's main number on Monday November 20, 2017. Receptionist dispatches a tech to my house that day to troubleshoot. I did not catch this gentleman's name, but he had not previously been to my house earlier in the installation. He spends approximately 2 hours in my basement, looking up wiring schematics on his phone, and trying to get the heater to work. He eventually says it is mis-wired, and needs to go get a replacement heater from the supplier. He comes back about an hour later with a new heater, which he installs. It is functioning and heating water.

Tuesday January 23, 2018:
I contact ""Rod"" by text message as previous with concerns that our electric bill was coming in much higher than usual. I had inspected the stickers on the water heater, and found that the installed water heater was a ""Rheem Professional Classic"", and NOT the ""Rheem Professional Classic Plus"" as was quoted during my installation. I looked up the schematics on Rheem's website, and found that the currently installed water heater had an estimated annual energy usage of $555, while the sticker available online for the ""Rheem Professional Classic Plus"" electric heater has an estimated annual energy usage of $417. ""Rod"" asks for the name on the account, and I give it to him. I don't hear back this day.

Thursday January 25, 2018:
I contact ""Rod"" again by text message and ask if he was able to look into the above issue. He responds back a few minutes later asking for pictures of the energy sticker and serial number of the installed heater. I send them. I do not hear back.

Tuesday February 20, 2018:
I contact ""Rod"" again by text message regarding the absurdly high energy bills and requesting he look into the above issue. I do not hear back.

Saturday February 24, 2018:
I submit a complaint to the Better Business Bureau of Denver regarding the above exchange. My resolution request is a refund in full, as I am not comfortable having an essential piece of household equipment (water heater) being warranted and serviced by a company/representative that will not respond to trouble calls.

Thursday March 15, 2018:
I contact Riteway Plumbing about the above issues. I am informed by the phone representative that the company, while retaining the name, is under new ownership and has limited records of previous customers. I am asked to send in pictures of my heater install and a summary of my issues so far.

Thursday March 22, 2018
Despite asking me for a detailed email of my experience so they can look into it, I still have not heard back from Riteway. I've called today, and they don't answer. The answering machine greeting is a generic pre-recorded ""Hello. Please leave a message after the tone.""

Riteway was assigned through my home warranty company. I offered to take an appt a week out since my heat was working so that other clients with no heat could get in first. They did not call prior to coming as promised but was on time. Worked on the furnace and left without checking in, giving a diagnosis or receipt. I did get a receipt after calling. I was notified that there was a carbon monoxide leak and that the home warranty company would not cover it. I called to see when they could fix the issue, I was told at least a week and that the tech stated he didn't want to come back because it was ""not safe"". WHAT??? He never told me that at all! Ridiculous that I have another company on their way out and I'm down the money I paid Riteway. Poor customer service all the way around.

We had to replace a 75 gallon hot water heater. The repair guys were experts in their craft, on time, efficient and professional. This was the best Experience Ever! Excellent customer service, follow through and service. Great Staff Synergy from the initial call, scheduling to service completion.

Pricing is reasonable and fair. They quote a price, review the cost and process. No surprises! At a time when you are most vulnerable-- what a delight. We are completely satisfied, highly recommend and will use them again!

well I am surprised that I am the first to review. I had to have a shutoff valve installed, it is part of a system that detects water leaks like from a water heater or washing machine, the valve has a motorized head that. Two companies came out and had tablets with fixed pricing. But the closest they had to my job was a basic ball valve install. Both companies must use the same software as the quotes were about 450.00 for an estimated 1.5 hours. This works out to about 300.00 an hour. Since I had the valve only about 20 bucks was required in parts. The third company was much smaller and when I balked he said it was 430 maybe 380. I contacted Riteway and asked about a price over the phone something the other companies balked at even though6 they had standard prices. Riteway said it would be about 75 to as much as 150. The plumber called me to verify he was on his way and he arrived a little early. Looked at the job and said it would be a little more than 75 just due to the location and other solders that were in place. About an hour and 140 bucks later it was all installed working fine no issues at all. Next time instead of calling 3 companies that will all try to overcharge me I will call Riteway first and save a lot of time and money.
