Anthony S.This company is as bad as it gets. The plumber was to be here Monday 9/21/2015 to replace a hot water heater. They never called or showed.... When I finally called AHS who was my home warranty provider they told me that Rite-A-Way Services left messages. I never received any message. I have no hot water and there telling me that they can't come out for another week. I told them I have 2 small girls and 2 boys and my wife and myself and they we have no hot water. They did not care. ""Rite-A-Way"" Services needs a new name. ""Lies-We-Don't-Care"" I asked them if I could talk to a supervisor and of course Monica stated that Marcos was not available.

Chris arrived on time, was very knowledgeable, professional, and did a great job. He even connected me with RAW Services who took care of my mold. Thanks Chris.
Trish S.On Sunday AM, the shower faucet wouldn't turn off, so we had to shut off the water to the house. I called First American & they contacted Rite Away to fix the problem. I was concerned by the reviews on Yelp. However, I received a call same day & was scheduled the next day. They had a technician in Indio on Monday & we were the 2nd appt. He didn't call ahead but arrived on time & installed a new cartridge which he had on the truck. Our tech was courteous & worked quickly. From today's experience, I would recommend Rite Away.
Everything the 1 star reviewers reported is absolutely true. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt but after being told they were on the way or an hour away (several times) and then ""the truck broke down""and promising they would be here first thing in the morning and never showing up. I called again and was told same excuses as the previous day.The ladies that answer the phone are very nice,I know it's not their fault so I was exceedingly polite to them. Especially when I cancelled the phantom appointment. Then I called american home shield and explained what happened. They cancelled the work order and opened a new one with a company I've used before.
I strongly discourage using this company. Zero stars.
Di T.We scheduled a visit from Rite-a-way for today (Saturday) through our home insurance (AHS) on Tuesday of the prior week when our garbage disposal went out. We were told the repairman would arrive between 12-4, then later between 1-2. He arrived at 3pm, told us how hot it was, walked into our small kitchen and refused to work on our problem because the disposal was ""inaccessible."" He took two pictures, told us his manager would be calling us right away, and left. We didn't hear from them and called back at 3:30pm. We were told the technician reported he had been on premises working for an hour (!) and that it was inaccessible. My husband removed the dishwasher (TWO SCREWS) and the receptionist told us she would contact him to have him return. The serviceman, however, was not answering his phone. We were told, once again, that we would be called back. We weren't and at 4pm when we tried to reach them, we got the machine saying the office was CLOSED. Completely unprofessional, unreliable, and untrustworthy.
Dwight W.This is another example of the home warranty company using the worst possible vendors to 'fix' your issues. We waited over a month to have our hot water heater repaired. We were actually gone for 2 weeks on vacation and in that time Rite-a-way canceled our repair order due to 'lack of response'. Even though we told them we would be away on vacation and out of cell range. Terrible service, no knowledge of the systems they claim to repair, terrible customer service. Avoid them at all costs.
STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! Please let me do you a favor by saving you time and money and going with a different company. I had the most awful experience with this company. I handle multiple properties here in San Diego and was looking for a new plummer and unfortunately stumbled across rite-away-services. I advised them that my garbage disposal was in need of a replacement. I scheduled my appointment between 12-4p and plummer showed up just after 4pm to inspect and let me know that I in fact need to replace my garbage disposal (just as I told them on the phone). The office staff scheduled my next appointment 2 days later again between 12-4p. I then received a call at 6:30pm Friday evening that my technician was on his way (I canceled the repair). The office staff and plummer that I interacted with was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. Please save yourself the time and money and do not give this company your money. I do not write reviews. I simply wanted to save someone the same hassle I had.
Rite-A-Way Services was hired through AHS to make a repair to my kitchen faucet. I was advised that the repair work required a modification to the plumbing underneath that was not covered through my warranty and that I would be accountable for the additional cost. Rite-A-Way services charged me $140 to install one piece of flexible hose that I found on McMaster Carr for less than $10 and an hour labor. The entire repair was done in just over 30 minutes and the majority of that was spent on what was covered under the warranty. I contacted a manager named Marcos who refused to give me a refund even though he could not justify the cost. As they already had to return to my home to repair the water supply valve that they damaged during the original repair (originally advised me it would cost $65 to repair even though they broke it, then eventually agreed to fix) I requested they remove the additional part and give me my money back. Marcos again refused. They have no interest in making this right.
I will never use Rite-A-Way services again. I suggest all others do the same.
Cassandra G.We had an pipe burst emergency and placed a call to our warranty company late at night. The following day Jack from Right A Way services came out to fix the problem. He was fantastic! Had the pipe fixed within hours and he called in a wonderful restoration company to help us deal with the water damage. Thanks Jack!!! Professional, friendly and efficient.
