Horrible company, they take advantage of you because they get leads from American Home Shield home warranty. Asked to speak to a manager and the manager left the building right in the middle of our conversation. They take advantage of you during the home warranty process because they get fresh leads for their business. Managers are cowards and have no integrity. Ask your home warranty for another company or you will be surprised with a big bill

I too failed to do my homework in checking on this company. The techs are not knowledgable and thus took two different techs to replace a touch faucet and STILL not working. I asked for a refund since I needed to go elsewhere. The ""manager"" Marcos promised me a refund and did NOT follow through with his promise. Numerous attempts to contact him were fruitless with no response. I filled a complaint with the BBB and this company failed to respond to them as well!!!!
I did not want something for nothing. They could not install a touch faucet so therefore I had to secure another plumber that could and did a great job. There is a common thread in the complaints listed with this company.
I have contacted the BBB of Riverside and they too have had no responses from Rite Away. Are you surprised?
Heed the advise of other users of Rite-A-Way and don't use them!

The only thing they do rite-a-way is provide excuses and delays. I was provided a window for the appointment. I advised that I had an appointment that I could not break and would need a different time. She told me I was scheduled as the first stop and assured me it would be no problem. The designated time for my ""first"" stop came and went, with no call. I called them and was told he had to be diverted for an emergency and was still at the plumbing supply getting what he needed. No estimate of arrival was given. Hard to believe they have only one plumber, but either way, after reading the reviews here I decided to just cancel and find another solution. I am also going to cancel my American Home Shield plan as this was their recommendation and if they can't react to all the negatives here I question their judgement too.

This company has very poor customer service. My home warranty company sent this company to my home the 1st time to fix my faucet. There was nothing wrong with the service except that I paid with a check at the time they came out and then received a bill for the same service 2 weeks later. The 2nd time they also sent this same company to fix our leaking faucet and also to fix out toilet. The service was okay except this time I paid with my debit card. However, they decided to run my credit card for the full amount of the service twice. After several phone calls and several weeks later, they still have not refunded the overcharge. They say the manager is the only person who can issue a refund and they cannot explain why he hasn't issued the refund yet. It is very clear that the invoice has been paid twice. I have no complaints about the services only that they need a new billing person because how do you continually double bill your customers and then don't take any efforts in correcting it.

I can't complain about the service. They did a great job fixing our toilet and kitchen sink leak however they overcharged me. I had them come out 2 separate occasions. The 1st time I paid a check at the time of service and then later received a bill for the service about 3 weeks later. The 2nd time I paid with a credit card and they charged the card twice. It has been over 2 weeks since I contacted them and they still have not issued a refund. This is very poor service!!

Given this company from home warranty. The guy called to say he was 20 minutes away and he was super nice. Fixed a broken pipe under the sink and properly reconnected my garbage disposal. In and out within 25 minutes and got a receipt. I've had a bad experience with home warranty with electrical but this guy was very nice and did the job great.

I don't understand all these negative reviews. I used Rite-away Services because they were the provider for American Home Shield (my home warranty carrier). They called me for an appointment within 2 hours of me reporting my garbage disposal problem to AHS. They came the next day with a brand new disposal, installed it and were on their way in about an hour. Their guy Casey was knowledgeable, efficient, and did a great job. My only ""issue"" was that they didn't carry the brand of disposal (In-sink-erator) that they were replacing, and I had to accept the brand they carried (Whirlaway),.

Used Rite-a-way plumbing via a service call to American Home Shield for a straightforward bathroom leak and was pleased with their prompt scheduling and service. The tech didn't have the parts but was able to obtain them quickly and follow up the next day. Repaired the leak and was in and out of the house within 30 minutes for both visits.

Worst company I have ever dealt with. First American Home Warranty sent this guy from Rite-A-Way out to check on my water heater that was not heating the water. I had already ordered the conversion part that was needing replaced. The Technician put the part in and I told him I smelled gas. He said it was just the new part smell. The next morning my house was reeking with gas fumes. Called them and they said I would have to go through my warranty service. Did this and they called to make a follow up appointment for the next day. This was gas fumes!!! Had to call the gas company to help me. Gas technician said it was the worst job he had ever seen. He said the technician had not tightened down the main burner pilot tubing. Representative from Rite-A-Way showed up next afternoon. I told him the problem and gave him report from gas technician. Said his technician had only been on the job a couple of months. No apology just matter of fact. No big deal to him. Very very bad company.

Appointment was set for the tech to come to my house between 11am -3 pm. I get a call on my cell phone at 3:39 pm from the tech letting me know that he'll be at my house in 30 minutes. I specifically stated that the tech was to call my house number because I would be at work and my mom would be at home waiting for him. First of all, I must say that I really appreciate how their time is money but mine doesn't mean anything. Secondly, I would like to know if the lady that took my message to have the tech call my house phone needed me to say it in Spanish, because it obviously was not understood. Hire some decent people that have the courtesy to let waiting customers know that they will be late. My mom wasted an entire day waiting at home and then I got in trouble at work for answering my cell phone...way to go people!
