I hired Rising Son to do multiple jobs.

Earl himself did the ""big"" job (which required shutting off the water at the meter) and replacing the 80-year old shutoff valve with a modern 1/4 turn type valve, which was something I'd been meaning to do for years.

His apprentice plumbers did the ""small"" job under the kitchen sink.

When I called Earl the next day to point out that some adjustments needed to be made to the work under the kitchen sink, he sent a crew out quickly and the job got done right.

I am still having to live with the issues leftover from our experience with Rising Son. I heard from friends that he was amazing but they didn't need work done to the magnitude we needed. We recelived a quote but needed it in writing for the bank; took days and multiple calls/emails to receive. Then he accidentally heard what we were pulling in loan from the bank and the quote went up $2000. I called him out on it and it came back down.
Then the other naive part of me: I didn't get an itemized quote.
Erl and team came and dug a 13 ft x 2 ft trench... oops wrong place. Dug another 13 x 2ft trench. Left cement EVERYWHERE. But we're going to clean up after the did the job tomorrow. Fine.
Next day: dig day. half way through the day a separate crew to come ""save the job"". And they were pissed.
Lets get to the end--too many details of crap through the day. Erl said they did as much as they were going to do. Done.
What Was not done: He didn't pull a permit. Our basement was never filled; never cleaned. Our fence destroyed, not fixed. Our yard destroyed-- he did eventually come grade it when the city made him.

I've now paid to fix my fence, fill the basement but guess what happened this week? The exact same major leak in my basement that started this horrible experience. 6 months later.

Maybe he can put in a garbage disposal but I would never trust him to do anything of this size.

And learn from my mistake. Get an itemized quote.

Had an appointment set up for 10am on a Friday. Nobody showed up, but I figured I would give it until noon to call their office to see what the hold up was. When I got a hold of their office, I was told there had been a miscommunication on their end, and each plumber thought someone else was coming to our house. They were very sorry, and said someone would be there in another 45 mins to an hour. Well, I waited another 2 hours, and still nobody showed up or even called. It all was pretty unprofessional. I ended up googling and fixing my plumbing problem myself. At least I saved the money...but definitely calling a different plumber next time.

Had a slow drip in sink drain around nut that attaches neck to the elbow. First young guy that came out charged for replacing the washer in the nut however drain still dripped and washer was sticking out. Called company back and the lady who answers the phone gave us the run around then finally stated it had to wait until 10-1 Monday. contacted company again after 11am Monday calling several times before call was finally answered as no one had shown. Same lady said it would have to wait until the possibly the afternoon wasting an entire day waiting on someone to show. Second plumber/owner arrived and took 4 hours putting the WRONG neck part on the sink and now causing a steady strong stream of water to leak and costing us more than what we originally started with.

After being told they would be there later in the afternoon, there was no call no show, REALLY?!! Not even a call. Don't waste your time on this company!

I would highly recommend Earl and Rising Son Plumbing to anyone. They are quick to respond and they do a super good job at a reasonable price. I had a huge job and they made sure that they finished the same day they started, even though they had to stay late. Thanks Earl.

These folks may do a fine job of actual plumbing, but we never found out. They will not make an appointment over the phone - you have to go through their website. Two days later you get a cryptic email that makes no sense, after emailing back & forth they say they will be here ""today"". They never showed up. We found someone else.

I want to highly recommend Earl and Rising Son Plumbing! We waited 5 days for our normal plumber to call back and finally called RSP. Earl is the most professional and nicest person. He came out the same day and fixed all problems done by the previous plumber. Very reasonable as well. Earl is also a master plumber.

Aside from the complete disrespectful and condescending attitude, Earl was unbelievably unprofessional and left without fixing a single problem I had while making me believe he had fixed one of them. He continued to tell me he would call me back that night to schedule a time when he could fix the two other problems I called him for. The next time I heard from Earl was at 10:30 at night almost a month later! This conversation included him trying to convince me that he was unaware of the problems that I called him for and that he was under the impression that he fixed my garbage disposal.. when in fact he did not. I wouldn't spend my money on him...

After going through three places that said they did 24/7, I finally gor RisingSon. He came out in spite of the threatening blizzard and the cold and was very courteous and professional. We didn't have go several days without being able to flush the toilet and other problems. I recommend him..
