My family and I have used Gary and Rigid Plumbing a few times now. The first job was to install a dishwasher and garbage disposal and the second job was to repair/service a water heater.

Due to the configuration of our kitchen, the initial dishwasher/garbage disposal were a little more complicated than we originally thought and required a few more parts. Unfortunately, Home Depot was sold out of the hose that we needed, but Gary was able to find a suitable temporary hose to get everything connected. Then a few days later, he bought the proper hose and came back to switch it out for no additional charge. It was great to see that he wanted to complete the job properly even if it took a little extra time.

Gary is an honest and reliable person. Currently, Rigid is a one-man operation so it's possible to have a small delay when calling him for service if he's in the middle of another job. I have not had a problem in getting calls or text messages returned and I've found that Gary is accommodating to our schedule. He doesn't mind that I watch the process or ask questions along the way, which I appreciate. Furthermore, Rigid Plumbing has very reasonable rates. Although there may not be a fancy website or multiple technicians, it's great to have a reliable person working in your house and good to know that you're supporting a small local business.

Gary came over right away when I called about our leaking hot water heater. He fixed the problem and so impressed our landlord that he plans to use him for future jobs. I would not hesitate to recommend Rigid Plumbing to anyone.

We have used Rigid Plumbing several times and have been very pleased! We have referred people to him for his good work, arriving on time, honesty and timeliness in getting the job done. This week, he came by to diagnose why our dishwasher was not emptying after a cycle. He fixed the issue and I have to say, I ran a dishwasher cycle and my dishes and glasses came out looking better than ever. We also liked that he noticed corrosion on the pipes and that they weren't going to last much longer (confirmed by my husband as well), so he took the time to replace those. If you want good service by an honest person, Rigid Plumbing is a good company.

I have hired Gary couple of times just after moving to a home about 20 years old - once for a gas water heater issue and once for a gas dryer water leak issue. Gary did a pretty good job on both instances and I recommend him highly for anyone looking for plumbing and related things. His prices were very reasonable and his availability was awesome.

We can't recommend working with Rigid Plumbing.

We hired Gary to replace a leaking gas line that ran underground from our front to back yard. The beginning of the job was fine, and Gary responded to phone calls and text messages.

The existing gas line was more difficult to remove than Gary expected, so he wanted to charge extra for removal and disposal. He recommended we just leave the unused gas line in the ground (we did not think this was the right way to do the job).

Ultimately, the gas line replacement took longer than Gary had expected, and he was clearly ready to move to another job. By the time the gas line was reinstalled, two new problems had appeared: the gas grill fed by the new gas line didn't work, and the electrical system near the gas line was no longer working (both were working before the gas line replacement).

Gary promised to bring an electrician friend by to evaluate the electrical problem. From then on, Gary never returned phone calls, texts, or e-mails. He never brought an electrician by, then sent an e-mail after a few days to say he was finished and that any non-working items were not his responsibility.

I thought this situation was handled poorly - we could have resolved this amicably with simple communication. Working with Rigid Plumbing ended up being more stress than we expected. We'll look elsewhere when our next plumbing job comes along.

I called up Gary the owner on a Sunday morning to fix my broken kitchen faucet. The hose attachment was cracked and we ended up having to replace the faucet. Since he did not have the faucet in stock, he was kind enough to accompany me to Home Depot to pick out a new faucet. He also explained the various features to look for. The installation was good, no leaks, and he cleaned up under the sink and the surrounding floor. The cost was very reasonable.

When my rental house had a completely clogged bathtub, I called Rigid Plumbing again. He was very punctual to meet me at the rental. He cleaned out the drain, used the snake, and also used the garden hose to really flush out the clog. And again he was very professional and made sure the bathroom area was cleaned up.
