We own a condo in Boise, but now live out of state. It was built in '07 and is in very good condition. We've had Right Now Heating & Air come and do a couple things for us on the furnace and A/C unit over the last few years. Most recently (last week) the water heater was not producing enough hot water. For a $79 diagnostic fee, Right Now came out and let me know the problem was with the lower thermostat and quoted me about $700 to replace both the upper and lower thermostats, or $1,592 for a new water heater. After telling them I'd think about it, they called right back with a $1,350 quote for a new water heater. Not feeling right about their pricing, I asked Superior Water & Air to come out. They came out for FREE, and quoted me $320 for installing not only new thermostats, but new heating elements and new dip tube too. Oh, and $1,235 for a new water heater. I can't say I was shafted on the previous work Right Now did, but definitely feel they were taking advantage of this recent situation, possibly based on my area code. In looking at Right Now's Yelp reviews, I should have steered clear from the start. Superior W & A just gained a new customer.

My response when they texted me regarding an appointment for a free quote that I did not re-schedule or cancel:

Free quote??????? You guys originally came out to check out the unit and charged us $80 to just LOOK at it and say, yup, it's broken. Then scheduled a SALES rep to come out for a free replace or repair quote. Someone did come out and quoted me for a new unit for over $6k for a new system. But did NOT come prepared with a repair quote. After calling multiple times to try to get a repair quote so we can outweigh our options, I reached out to another company. This company quickly and diligently found a repair solution within hours of me contacting them with a quote of the repair costs and didn't charge me a dime. He overnighted the part for me, and said he would come out to replace it the second it came in.

I called you guys again, and I finally got a response and quoted me at $1k and told me it would take approximately 2-3 weeks!!! That is a long time without an A/C! I called and informed the agent that came out that, that we found another provider.

The other company came out and replaced the part that was broken for $500 dollars and did it in one day!!!!!

We hired Right Now Heating and Air about two years ago to put in a completely new system. We had no central heating or air so they put everything we needed in and charged us almost $20,000. When we signed our contract we were promised so much, they did not deliver on any of that (you can find our story in another review I left awhile ago). The winter after we got the system installed we started having high electric bills because our heat pump was not working how it should. It went into emergency heat a lot and would not defrost itself. They came and eventually were able to get it working how it should (or at least that is what we thought, turns out it just started working because it got warmer). It worked fine during the summer but this winter we started having high power bills again. We put a cover on our heat pump to prevent it from freezing up and not working again, we now realize that this was not the best thing to do, but we did what we thought was best to prevent freezing. We called and had someone come out and look at it and they said to remove the cover and everything would be fine. We did that and our bills just kept going up. I had someone from a different company come because at this time I was so fed up with Right Now. They said that our system is super inefficient and that when it was installed there was a part missing (this ended up being wrong, the part is there). I had Right Now come back and look at it so they could fix it because I did not want to pay the $1,100 that was quoted to us. When Right Now came and looked they did find something wrong that needed fixed and they said it was our fault because of the cover we had placed on it (when it wasn't working). They came and ""fixed"" it and then the emergency heat wouldn't turn off. I called and told them about the problem again and they talked down to me, treated me like I was stupid, but eventually decided to come and look again. When they came the technician was rude, I tried showing him a picture to show him what was going on, he didn't pay any attention to what I was saying and said that nothing was wrong with it, changed some settings and went on his way. Shortly after this I realized that the emergency heat would no longer come on at all! It would get really cold at night and the emergency heat should have come on but it didn't so our house would end up being freezing at night until we had to turn the emergency heat on manually. By this time I was completely done with this company. I was not going to be treated like I was stupid and didn't know how my system was supposed to work, so I called a different company and had them come out and look to see what the problem was. When they came out they informed me that we had a leak that needed to be fixed, the system is super inefficient, the drip pan is installed upside down, and that we are missing a wire that makes it so that the emergency heat will turn on automatically when it is supposed to come on. I'm not saying that the technician from Right Now removed the wire, but I don't know how it got removed so that the emergency heat wont turn on when needed when before that it wouldn't stop running the emergency heat. I will say that all the work that Right Now did, aside from the initial install, was done under warranty even after our warranty was over. They were really good about not charging me, but they sucked at everything else. They were rude, did not follow through with promises, and did not fix our system. They blamed us for things that were wrong when the only thing we did wrong (put the cover on) was done because the system was already not working. Only hire these people if you want the biggest headache of your life. I have never dealt with a company as horrible and condescending as this company.

Thank you YELP!!
Once again you have saved me from a less than acceptable experience. I called this company for a quote right before I looked at the Yelp reviews. I told the nice lady on the phone that I wanted a quote for a new system. I was told they needed to do an energy audit before they quoted. I let them know I was not interested. After a brief disagreement they let me know they would have a sales person call me back.
While I was waiting I jumped on YELP! So glad I did. The reviews for this company are horrendous. I am very aware of how internet reviews can be fictitious in any direction and always look at the body of data provided. The biggest red flag for me was not the reviews... It was the condescending and arrogant responses from the owner. It showed me that if I was unhappy with any of there services I would have climb mountains to get things fixed. Things do not always go as planned. I will not do business now or in the future with a company who clearly does not hold their reputation in high regard. They even went as far as to say...""look at the google reviews, the Yelp ones are garbage.""
Thanks Yelp for not letting me down.

It's sad that during this time when we need our neighbors first we get scammed. I called for the 59 dollar service and I was told after that I basically needed to spend 2400 on a new evaporator coil. I felt rushed to get it done but with better judgement I wanted to get a second opinion. A new tech and different company came out and told me that my system was great and needed no repair. I had a small leak but it was only due to a hose not being tightened down. No charge, WOW! Saved me 2400 when we need it most. I will not use this company in the future.

PLEASE READ THIS IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING A NEW FURNACE! THIS WILL BE LONG, BUT BEAR WITH ME.
I have waited awhile to post this review because I didn't want to do so while I was still angry. First, the positives. Right Now has always responded in a timely manner when I've needed their service, (with one exception when they absolutely could get out here until the next day). Also, with one exception, the service people have been polite and considerate. More on that exception later.
In November 2016, I replaced my furnace, air conditioner and water heater and purchased all through Right Now, a $7000 investment. On 1/4/18, a little over a year after installation, the furnace quit. I called Right Now but they told me they were so busy, they couldn't get to me until the next day. The temperature at the time was in the low to mid thirty's so obviously, I couldn't wait. I called another company that sent a service man who cleaned my flame sensor and checked the furnace.. cost $116..
4/23/18. Furnace went out again. Right Now service came out, replaced the flame sensor and tested the furnace. . Furnace was turned off from May, 2018 through most of October, 2018 Cost $118.
1/10/19 Furnace out again. Right Now responded, cleaned flame sensor, adjusted gas pressure and assured me that should fix the problem. At this point, I purchased the $186 VIP plan. No charge for this call as a result.
3/15/19. Furnace out once more. Flame sensor replaced AGAIN. Was told to move my garbage can further away from the furnace to prevent ""off gassing"" so I did. (no charge) Furnace was turned off again May through October. On 9/24/19 I had the furnace checked and tuned up for winter.
12/10/19. Yes, furnace out again. This time they found a grounding wire problem. Once fixed he assured me the problem had been solved. Cleaned flame sensor. No charge
1/18/20. Furnace out. This time they sent their top service expert that only shows up when others are unable to figure out the problem. He replaced my flame sensor and pressure switch. Told me the problem all along was the pressure switch and guaranteed I'd have no further problems. The service manager, Mike, came up and checked out my furnace and said everything checks out. At this point, I was completely frustrated and asked him what he would do if these problems continue, He said, ""If that's the case, I'll just pull this furnace out and replace it."" The manager Carley called and told me not to worry that they would ""make this right"". Well, I believe them and left a positive Google review, which I have since edited.
3/18/20. Furnace out again. Tech and the service manager both came to my house. Fiddled around with the furnace. The work order, which I called and requested since they didn't leave one, said the furnace had a ""Wonky Burner"" whatever that means. When I reminded Mike, the service manager, what he told me about replacing this furnace, it resulted in a rather heated exchange between him and me where he told me in effect that there's nothing wrong with this furnace, just a bunch of little things that they are trying to fix and if I wanted a new furnace I'd have to call the manufacturer (Goodman) and get them to approve it. His tech then told me I was costing the company lots of money, probably now as much as I'd paid for the furnace, because they were giving me all this free service and then Mike told me that no other company would have done all this for no charge. I admit I did lose my temper out of sheer frustration, but the service manager was literally screaming at me. I tried for several days to contact the manager, left messages and was told they were working with the manufacturer to provide a solution. Several days later I received a letter from the manager stating in effect that the manufacturer has ""deemed that no further action was required, that the burner alignment was the problem and that I should have no further issues.""So basically, this is Right Nows answer to ""making things right."" I finally was able to talk to the manager, and I said I'd settle for that for the time being if they were willing to fix this furnace at no charge if these problems continue to happen. She said, no, it will be on a CASE BY CASE basis and said she would put a VIP contract on my account at no charge.
So there you have it.PLEASE, PLEASE don't purchase a furnace from this company. Believe the negative reviews in Yelp. Whether their products are junk, or I just got a lemon, I can't really say, but you need to know that they will make lots of promises without really believing they will need to back them up. Just don't ask them to give more than they are willing to give, just maybe a few free service calls. It has been my experience that these are nothing more than empty words. I'm sure I will continue to see this when this furnace goes out again sometime next fall. It goes down about every 3 months like clockwork except when off for summer.

Realized these guys were scam artist- they will always try to sell you something more that you don't need so they can charge you more money. Extremely unprofessional company. They should be ashamed lying to costumers to to try to steal more of your money. Go to any other company but this one! Buyers beware

DO NOT use this company until you read this review. Everything stated here is my own opinion based on events that actually took place. Cliff version, they charged me $357 for a 35-minute job!
Here is what happened. I had a seasonal service done on my furnace about 2 weeks ago, during the service, the tech showed me where my hot water tank had a self-healed leak in the copper tubing on my hot water tank. I asked for a quote to fix it. The tech went outside, talked on the phone, came back and told me it would be $357 to fix it because it was a 2.5-3.0 hour job, the lines had to be pulled, the expansion tank pulled, etc. He also said if I agreed to the service, the $49 original service would be included. I agreed and set the appointment for the next day. The next day, the tech arrived and after 35 minutes, he was in his truck headed out. I immediately call Just Right and told them I was told the job cost $357 because of the complexity and time required to fix my hot water tank; I indicated that the job was only 35 minutes involving 2 copper tubes and nothing more. I was told the price is ""by the job and not by the hour"". I then indicated I wouldn't have agreed to pay the original amount if I was truthfully told how long it would take. My exact words were, ""your tech misrepresented the amount of time needed for the job and the complexity"". Just Now replied with ""the tech has already been scolded"". To make this long story short, after 3 phone calls and a threat to be sent to collections, I paid them today.
I maintain I was given false or incorrect information which was a misrepresentation of the job required and I was overcharged as a result. The manner in which this was handled, the way I was addressed and the fact that this whole thing stemmed from an incorrect job description is why I say I will NEVER use Right Now Heating and Air Condition ever again.

I am very unhappy with the service we received. We had out furnace, water heater and AC installed by Right Now. At first everything was working but 2 years after the furnace was installed we had issues. The piping was not sealed correctly causing condensation on the mother-board, the air valve was not installed correctly, and in short we ended up having to replace the whole unit with another company.

The water heater when it was installed had the temperature setting set to high (above the manufacture's setting) causing the breakers to go out in the house and the malfunction of the temperature gages. Those had to be replaced. The pipe that was installed was poor quality, it leaked all over the house and we found out later was on a recalled list of products. Besides that they did not install the overflow pan correctly and there was no piping out of the house causing water damage to the insulation in the crawl space, and water leakage over the floor of the house.

The people were nice to talk with but the quality of installation and products is subpar and I would not recommend this company to anyone unless you want to pay and pay and pay for all the damages to come.

WOLVES IN SHEEP'S CLOTHING. I was called about a $49 tune up special by Right Now where they would check my furnace and flush my water heater. The technician that came was pleasant and professional and very well-mannered. He checked down each vent and saw that one of the heating ducts had fallen into the crawl space. He had another guy come to the house who crawled under into the crawl space. He let me know that part of the ducting was ripped and 30 feet of ducting would need to be replaced to the tune of $610. $610!!! The technician was quick to schedule me an appointment to get it fixed the next morning. I called later to cancelthe appointment so I could get a second opinion because it seemed awfully high price for a duct that had fallen into the crawl space. I called my friend who works for a builder and she had their HVAC guy come out. In 15 minutes he had fixed the problem and it sure wasn't $610! He said there was only 10 feet, not 30 feet of ducting. Later he asked my friend who had come to give me the bid before. When I told her who it was, her HVAC guy and another man had guessed that it was Right Now Heating. They knew it was that company which was trying to swindled me out of my money. Glad I got a second opinion...Beware of the Wolves!
