Not a good experience. I'm a small business owner, a franchisee, but I think the plumber thought I was a corporate store because he jacked me on price. I needed a toilet tune-up (i.e. a few replacement parts, etc.)
At first, I was impressed by how quick and prompt he was; he was very close. But at the end of the job, he asks me for close to $400 worth of work for an 1 1/2 of his time. That's over $100/hour. Then I look at the invoice and he tries to charge me $26 for a new toilet handle; a $5 item at the plumbing store.
It really gets me upset, because I would have used this guy again and again if he would have treated me right. I bet if he did the same job in my house, he would have charged me half the price.
