Back in 1987, I launched with one truck and my garage. Fast forward 25 years, and I’m proud to have built one of the top plumbing companies in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. From one employee to over 100, and from one truck to over 40 running trucks; it’s truly a dream realized for me! I have been blessed with amazing people and family who supported me throughout this journey, and without their support, this great company wouldn’t exist. As I said before, I put my heart into every job, and I promise you will always get my full effort and that of my team. I still visit job sites daily to check on progress, meet our clients, and ensure satisfaction with our work. We established this company through hard work, trustworthiness, and high standards. Every project is treated as our own, and we aim for perfection and client satisfaction!
I’m Scott Riddell, the founder and owner of Riddell Plumbing Inc.. I grew up in Dallas, Texas. From a young age, I understood that not giving your all means wasting time. As a young adult, I experimented with various jobs, and at 19, I realized plumbing was my true calling. After spending nine years at a major plumbing firm in Mesquite, Texas, I took the leap to start my own company.

Recommended Customer Reviews

Very professional and came same day. What they charged was very reasonable since they fixed our sink and toilet. Have used a number of plumbers over the years and would put them at the top of the list.

I was in a pinch, needing a plumber for a client, on a Friday-midday so I called Riddell. I haven't used them in years. "Robin" said that I was 30th on the wait-list for that day. I asked if she could fit me in on Saturday. She said "sure!" I was called 30 mins. before arrival time. "Cameron"+1 came with patience and problem solving. Helpful, efficient and professional. All points of contact were great and I will definitely use them again.

Never write reviews but do not recommend Riddell Plumbing. The customer service is awful - not responsive, not communicative, do not follow up when requested and they demand payment for extremely poor customer service and not superior work. It took me hounding them to follow through and after no calls and little communication received an email at 2pm saying a technician would "stop by" that same afternoon. No advance warning, details or heads up if that worked with schedule. The technicians did not seem informed or prepared for job in estimate, it was a 4 week process from quote to finish. They only discounted me a slap in the face $150 off for a $1300+ "job" that did not mirror the quality. Would not hire them. Much better plumbing services and quality of customer care out there.

I rarely write reviews but I felt compelled to write one for Riddell plumbing. As a custom homebuilder, a quality plumber is very important. Riddell has exceeded expectations, they are the best in the business. They handle complicated projects, client initiated change orders and unknowns that can happen on a job site with ease and professionalism. The quality of their work coupled with great communication on the back office makes it a no brainer. You get what you pay for, if you want it done right the first time hire Riddell plumbing.

Good work done right. Able to do difficult jobs that others can't. Andy was very helpful in scheduling the team. Thank you for a job well done.

Cody and his assistant arrived within the hour, as promised. They were courteous and professional.
The team cleaned up and had the clog removed in less than an hour.
Will use them again, if needed.

They called me ahead of time to confirm, and showed up on time. It was an easy install that took them an hour, but would have taken me more than a day and many trips to the hardware store. I will be very happy to call them again.

We recently used Riddell Plumbing to replace all the cast iron pipes under the house and the line running from the house to the main line at the street. Initially everything was good (except for a lack of communication to confirm the start date and arrival time). On the day the service was to start, the plumber showed up and pushed the work out 2 days. I was OK with this because I was promised he would bring 2 crews and everything would be completed in 1 day and wrapped up by the time our out of town guests were to arrive for the weekend.
The actual pipe replacement was completed in 1 day. What failed to happen was a coordination with the city regarding the permits and final inspection. The work was completed on a Wednesday and we did not have sign off from the inspector and the ditch in our front yard filled until the following Friday. The city inspector showed up several times during the time period but was unable to properly inspect because the crews were not ready for him. There was not only a lack of communication and coordination with the inspector but any communication with us was nonexistent. Every day I had to repeatedly call and text our plumber or his supervisor to try and find out what was going on. Even calling the main office was of no help. No one there would return my calls. When the ditch was finally filled in our yard, it was done horribly. The crew covered up one of my drainage boxes a and did not smooth out any of the dirt throughout the yard. My front yard looked like a BMX course.
The actual replacement of the pipes looks like a success but everything else about the experience has caused a lot of frustration and angst.

I had originally given them a negative review because of the actions of 1 plumbing crew member. Since that time I have been contacted by a manager and the owner. I was lead to believe that they do not offer guarantees for their work. Obviously, I was mistaken... not only did they seek me out to right any wrong I felt done to me by the crew member, but they also compensated me for expenses incurred. This company overall is honest and above board. I would give them another shot. Thanks Riddell!

We were very pleased with Riddell Plumbing. Brian S. and his helper were on time, professional and friendly. Brian installed a new water valve under our kitchen sink, so we could then have our new dishwasher installed. I would certainly use their services again.
