Like many others I should have read the reviews first. I lost $171 dollars for the technician to be at my house for less than 5 minutes as they quoted me an astronomical price for a repair. I had to pay a diagnostic fee and weekend price for them to not do a single thing. While the technician was nice enough, their levels of service quoted are ridiculous. I thought going with a smaller company would be more affordable, and I like to support local companies, but I was very wrong. TLC quoted me $150 for the repair that they wanted $628 for the same thing. I did not want to pay the fee for them to do nothing, but was not given that chance. I am so frustrated with this company and how they can cheat and scam their customers. Please do your research first before using this company as many other companies have a much more reasonable price.

Like many others, I should've looked at all the poor reviews before I called them. This company will rob you. They come to your house, fix nothing, and leave you with an exceedingly outrageous estimate for repairs with zero breakdown for what the parts vs. labor will cost along with a textbook ridiculous explanation for why a part that costs (what I now know) $130
is now $600-$1800 including repair and ""warranty"". Then their technicians awkwardly pressure you to agree to the service today or they won't use the $69.99 diagnostics fee today towards your repair (which wont happen for 5 days anyways because they don't have the part).

No, I dont want your outrageously priced repairs with zero transparency regarding the price breakdown. Their business model is deplorable and shady. Keep your $69.99 diagnostics fee and call literally ANYONE else.

I'd also like to add, that once I swapped out the filter and flipped the breaker, the issue was resolved without the help of Affordable Service.

Tony called ahead to let us know he was on his way and was very professional, knowledgeable and did a great job. I appreciated him showing me what he removed and the issue that caused the fail and showing us the parts that were going in. Tony is now our plumber. Thanks guys.

I had a fordable fix a leak in a rental home recently and came out and assess the situation and quickly started good job I'm finished the job within an hour. The initial quote was $578 which I thought was way over even the highest estimate received from any other plumbing company. Since they finished within an hour he told me he was going to reduce the price. I requested a hourly fee initially they told me they did it on a flat rate for job. Most of the time the customer is over a barrel with a water issue. I would have to say buyer beware

Got a quote from one of their representatives at the end of one summer to convert from swap cooler to refrigerated air. Was told the quote would be good for the following year. When I decided to purchase the next spring I was told they could not honor that quote due to their representatives quote mistakes and inflation so they added almost another 1000 on top. I still agreed because I just wanted it done but was still upset they didn't honor their word. My refrigerated air was installed and and inspected. And I was happy to have made the switch. But towards the end of the summer the air was not cooling. I had to schedule an appointment for them to come check my system. When they came to inspect it, was told that the system wasn't charged. So they charged the system and it started working again. But that was a day I will never get back waiting for them to fix it . The Next summer as I started my AC it began to give me the same problem i ran my AC all day and it didn't move a degree. It was not cooling, so I scheduled another appointment and was out of cool air for a week. When they came to check on the unit, I was told it was not charged. I asked if I had to charge this unit every year and they said no, they told me the last person didn't charge it correctly. So the unit was charged once again and once again another day wasted waiting for them to fix my unit. This year I started up my AC and once again the air wasn't cooling. Again..I had to call and make another appointment, wait another week without coolant, miss another day of work, and waste another day waiting for this system to get fix. Finally the representatives actually looked at the system and found a leak! They charged the system and said they need to comeback to spend about 3 hours fixing it. So scheduled ANOTHER appointment to wasted another day, and be out of work so they could come fix it. After the leak was finally taken care of... which I hope it is... I asked the representative if there was someone I can talk to about the trouble and inconvenience I went through all over this problem. He said he would have someone give me a call to talk about this issue. I have yet to hear from anyone from their company for an apology or a compensation for my time wasted to get a new system fix when it should have been done right the first time. As a customer I feel i should have been at a higher importance. I hope this company realizes people's time is precious and should not be wasting it. Happy to have refrigerated air but not happy with the service.

This is probably some of the best money I spent. My circuit board went out in my forced air heater. I called every where and no one could come out today and they all wanted between 100 and 150 for a service fee so if was a two dollar fuse I would of been highly upset and posed that I would have to pay 152 dollars for a fuse. My wife, who husbands never want to ans don't listen to when it comes to a technical or mechanical issue had an idea. ""Why don't you call the place down the street"" of course I am in no mood to listen to her. Begrudgingly I make a phone call and their service fee was relatively cheap and most importantly they could come out this afternoon. When the tech got here he diagnosed the problem and told me it was the circuit board. He took out his I pad and showed me several prices they had a low price, pretty low price, medium price and the good standard. I took the pretty low price , it was fixed before sundown and I had heat again. Kevin their guy who came out was my hero he saved me from the miserableness of hearing my wife and kids complain about the cold. He explained everything that he did he even checked my water heater for me that will need a repair soon. Their service was impeccable, and they gave a veterans discount. Don't call anyone except them remember tounget what you pay for and they are competitive.

Affordable Service is fabulous. I was referred to them by ABQ Leak Locators during our process of trying to find a leak on our property. Chris and Bob were at my house before 8 am and were knowledgeable, professional, tenacious, and smart. Bob and Chris returned later in the day once ABQ Leak Locators found the leak. They worked hard digging up the pipe in cold temperatures and stayed after dark to get it finished. They were kind, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend Affordable Service and specifically Bob and Chris.

This company should be called UNAffordable. They overpriced. They charged me $50 for an outdoor faucet, and $173, for one hour of labor!

Technician came out to fix water heater. I had an extra water heat with all spare parts available. Tech replaced burner, thermocouple & pilot and declared that the unit was not working properly. Then gave me a quote for $950 to fix it - again. I googled and repaired the unit myself. Turned out that flushing heater (actually not required) and adjusting the gas shut off valve was all that was wrong with the heater. I paid $162 for a service call and received nothing. I would not use this company again.
