I have used Rick Hartman plumbing for the last 20 years. Rick or his employees are always courteous. They have come quickly when I have had emergencies, even on Sundays. I had a septic system for years that they had to unclog numerous times. They have replaced cast iron supply stacks for me. Took care of a leaks and other plumbing issues. I have recommended him to my friends and have used him in my customers' homes when working on renovation projects. Rick is knowledgeable and has always taken care when we have had a plumbing issue.

I used this plumber years ago two times and had a great experience which is why I called him to begin with.........I called on a Saturday afternoon at 4:20 PM due to having an issue with my bathtub faucet I was trying to replace. I needed to have the cartridge replaced because it blew out in my Mothers old house.

Mr.Hartman said they might not be able to do anything if we didn't have the part I said that was fine I just need to have water in the rest in the house because I already shut off the main valve. When his partner Mike called he stated when we asked how much he stated every day of the year it would be $98.50 an hour with the exception of Christmas. We again asked if there was a charge for weekend call he said no everyday the same.

Mike then tells us we have to pay travel ok we thought mileage fee is fair no they charged from LEAVING their house construction and traffic to our house at the $98.50 an hour and took two hours to get here then was here for five minutes turned two valves my husband and I could do in our basement and proceeds to charge us $250 stating it was a discount and would not be towards any work done once he has the parts faucets that he would have to approve only American copper or moen because they do not like delta !

These are bait and switch plumbers beware and get something on email or text faxed something in writing before using their service we paid in cash but will no longer be using their services due to not being forthcoming in their estimate as well as when confronting about the cost being rude in stating another company would have charged more........which in some cases is true b it I should have choice with given the truth when asking rate prior to arriving and not having to pay for someone an hourly rate to sit in construction or traffic!!!

The plumbers were courteous and knowledgeable they had the clog cleared and the leaking shower drain fix in short order and at a reasonable cost.
