However, dramatically overcharged for part and labor. $65 fee just to visit, and then $100 for 20 minutes of labor and a part that costs $10 tops at Lowe's (a part of equal quality). I know that the fee just for the visit is standard, but really makes me think...I'm paying this company to simply grace me with their presence, allowing me to use their service PLUS labor and parts on top of that? The whole visit was 20 minutes.

I felt as though instead of teaming up with me to find a solution, they simply tried to find ways to charge as much as they could. I am a homeowner with no handyman. Needless to say, I will likely have a need for a plumber in the future, and I likely will not return to Richies.

These guys were really good and professional. I had some problems with leaking faucets when we moved into our new place, and they fixed the issue and even stayed to test their work. I've had some shoddy work done by other plumbers, but I will certainly be using these guys again and would recommend them to anyone in the NOLA area.

I made an appointment, the plumber showed up on time. He worked hard at getting our line unstopped. Seems it had never been routed before. He could have tested it once and let it go at that, but he made damn sure the line was clear. Seems he went the extra mile. He left the place clean afterward. Very professional.

We needed immediate help for a toilet that kept overflowing. Saw Jen L's recommendation and it seemed solid. We lucked out with scheduling and these fellows were here within the hour. They did a great job, were very clean about it, and were friendly and courteous. Cost is no doubt normal-- you wish you didn't have to spend it, but it had to be done. They did a toilet repair that needed doing, and they were also exceedingly generous with information about how to diagnose a toilet problem and have empowered me to possibly handle certain problems myself in future. Really nice folks and I would trust them for future work.

I've used Dial One at 2 different houses now and am always happy with the job they do. I had a plumber previously that could not figure out the problem. Richie came in and figured it out immediately. It was fixed by that night after a week of the other plumber coming back and forth.

So after the whole experience of getting ripped off by Richie's, I have a new plumber out fixing something else on the pool equipment and I found out they did a shoddy job on the work they did do.

They installed the copper pipe they replaced with ""quick fit"" connections instead of smoldering the copper together. There is constant water pressure on this line and it is causing it to leak.

Thanks for the rip-off work.

Roland / Dave put in 2 water heater for me. Real great guys and clean, fast work. Good price and top quality water heaters that will last. I've found my plumbers and I'm putting them on my emergency phone list right now. I don't usually write these reviews but these guys were top notch.

This is the thing: many of us don't yelp plumbers, electricians, and the like, so, like the days of yore, we still rely on word of mouth for solid recommendations. But lucky for me, when I did a search on plumbers I found two folks (Ronnie R and Jen L) whose opinions I absolutely respect giving accolades in their reviews for Richie. I didn't hesitate to call. And now I leave you with my own review.

When I acquired my house a couple months ago, the previous tenants told me that they never even hooked up their gas (weird, I know) and used the window unit for heat. Uhhh, yeah, no thanks (electric heat gets crazy $ and just doesn't work as well unless you turn up super high). There were two gas heaters not hooked up to the lines and I didn't dare hook that up myself, rightfully fearing the ensuing leak or explosion. In the midst of last week's cold spell, my two electric heaters weren't cutting it, so I decided to enlist the help of a professional to hook up my heaters. Enter Richie's Plumbing!

I called and got an immediate appointment for that afternoon, despite it being the day before the Thanksgiving weekend AND despite it being the first cold spell of the year. Two guys arrived and inspected my lines and the heaters and determined -after much tinkering- that due to the pilot light being broken in both, they weren't safe enough to hook up and use (I guess that match method that I've used the past two years in other houses isn't the safest method. Go figure). It was end of day before Thanksgiving, so they tried their best to see if they could find me an affordable heater from their supplier. We were just a little too late, though. The cool thing was, they were approachable and transparent. They didn't tryto sell me more services and in the end, the bill was AOK for peace of mind and a heat hook-up.

This means when it comes time for more involved services (hello, new bathroom), I know who to call.

Richie's Plumbing did a great job at my OLD HOUSE with old plumbing. The tech was courteous and honest. He replaced plumbing parts inside my shower wall with no damage and at a fair price.
