I contacted Richardson Plumbing Company today for a stoppage issue at a property I manage. They sent someone quickly and the plumber completed the job, took a check, and did not leave an invoice. I called Richardson Plumbing to inquire about an invoice and they hung up the phone on me 3 times as if they did not understand what I was requesting. I would not recommend contacting this company if you need assistance after the job has been completed. I was able to locate the plumbers' number that came out to request an invoice but so far, he has not delivered it. The cost of the job was double than I normally pay for plumbing jobs but I had no one available today and had to rely on another company. This Company will be removed from my list of possible vendors.

DISHONEST! My mother used Richardson Plumbing for years. Earthwise had bought them out and kept their old number. Answered the phone as Richardson Plumbing. Needed toilet installed. They can't give the price "until they see what needs to be done." $59 fee to just show up. I see the Earthwise van. He tells me about the change, and they still were a small Richardson Plumbing patch. Wow. He looks at toilet. Tests to see if it moves when pushed. Opens his book and tells me it's $328 - that is the senior "discount" since my mom is elderly!! He admits it's expensive, but "that covers the installation, no matter how long it takes, includes their superior wax ring," and he says it also covers them in case they have to buy a new toilet because he breaks it. Oh really - the person who answers the phone has "no way" to know how much it is going to cost?!!! MAYBE THEY SHOULD LET HER LOOK AT THEIR BOOK OF PRICES!!! I bet she says that because they are TOO EXPENSIVE

We built our home in 1968 in Town North Park in Richardson. We've always called Richardson Plumbing when needed. We have not had the need to call them in the last several years but our sewer line to the street got stopped up so I called Richardson Plumbing. They said they were booked solid but I said I would wait for an opening. They called this morning, 24 hours later, and said they had a cancellation. As with previous jobs they were quick, expert work and reasonably priced. Stick with an original Richardson company and you can't go wrong.

I am disappointed with the service I received from Richardson Plumbing and I will not be giving them my business again in the future. We had them come to our house three days in a row and our problem was never resolved, despite the fact that we paid hundreds of dollars. In the end, we had to use a different company to fix the problem, and they did it for less than 25% of what we paid Richardson Plumbing.

The initial issue was a clogged sink, which they snaked, it drained, and they left. Later that day, we discovered a nearby toilet had stopped working. It was completely clogged and would not flush at all. This toilet had worked for the 9 years we've lived in our house with no issues, so logical sense leads any logical person to believe that the "fix" of the sink caused the clog of the toilet. When we called the company, the operator told us they were likely unrelated but they'd send someone out. The next day a plumber came out and found that the toilet was clogged and they didn't have the tools to fix it, so they'd send someone the next day. The guys who came the next day again snaked that side of the house, the toilet worked while they were here, but hours later when we tried it for the first time it did not work.

It was now the weekend so we waited until Monday morning to call back. Again the guy who answered the phone was quite rude, suggesting that the toilet issue was not their fault and in no way related to our first issue. Despite asking multiple times if they'd come out that day, he told us they were fully booked and offered no solution to our problem. I understand that schedules can be packed, but for a customer who is requesting a 4th visit to fix a problem, they should've work us in.

In the end we asked the guy to cancel our call and he suggested we call Drain Doctors. They came out that same day, charged us a very low fee, and found a clog farther down the drain that was causing the issue. I feel that Richardson Plumbing did not do an adequate job of diagnosing the issue, therefore leading to their failure to solve the problem.

My two main complaints are their failure to remain loyal to repeat customers and the person who answers the phones. On two of the days he failed to tell us when the plumber might come and seemed bothered by our requests for service. I will not be calling them again.

On my first visit to the store, looking for an older model tank , i was told to go home and make a cardboard cutout of my tank. I did exactly that returned to the store the next day. I made it clear that I was concerned about the NO return policy because the one they brought me didn't seem to fit the cardboard cutout exactly. Two of the gentlemen convinced me that it was the exact one I needed, just the wrong color. I voiced my concern about there no return policy because I didn't think it looked like it fit the cardboard cutout. They only responded that they were certain it was the correct fit. them being the professionals, I bought it. Took it home, and of course it did not fit. I called them and let them know. The man was rude, abrasive, and unprofessional. He said too bad we don't exchange , we don't return. he said he told me it was the "closest" fit and I bought it, it's not his problem. That was not true. they never referred to the lid as the "closest" fit. They both told me repeatedly that it was exactly the right fit. I have a feeling if I were a man this wouldn't have been a problem

A gas leak in the middle of winter is not fun. No gas means no hot water and no heat. Richardson plumbing showed up promptly and fixed the leak quickly. It was quite a bit of work since it involved removing concrete and digging a hole in a cramped area. Not only did they fix the leak but returned after the city inspection to fill the hole back in. I wish the bill had been a bit cheaper but I also don't know what this kind of work usually costs. Thanks for a job well done!

Small, well run place. I needed a toilet tank to bowl gasket. No luck at big box or even Apex, but of course Richardson Plumbing had the exact part. They also have lots of faucet parts for the older style faucets still in many homes in the area. Save yourself time and just go here first.

They were an hour late. They charge time and materials (one guy works and one guy sits in truck smoking while on the phone). Didnt finish my job in one day, left bathroom trashed, then called in sick the next day. I called another company to finish the job. I've had this type of work done before, and rthey charged three times the price of the other company.
Run from this company!!!!

BEWARE!! Richardson Plumbing can't be trusted to: 1. show up on time. 2. not ruin the equipment they're asked to install 3. not charge the customer for the smoke breaks their employees take while on a job.

We were told that a person would be at our house from 11-1 on Friday 9/13/13. My husband called to ask if there was any way that we could get them out closer to the 11:00 time frame and were told that wouldn't be a problem. The dispatcher (aka the Manager) said they had a guy available right then and would send him over ASAP. They didn't show up until closer to 2 pm! No calls ...no apologies.
We had purchased a new faucet and simply needed it soldered to the pipes and installed. The plumber didn't pay attention to what he was doing and melted a piece inside the housing of the faucet, rendering it useless. We had to buy another part and fix it ourselves.
We had everything ready for the plumber to work... It should have taken 30 minutes, tops! We had the same thing done in a bathroom down stairs and paid less than $100. So what should have been about a $120 bill for labor (or less!) was $150 because the nice 15 minute smoke break they took while on the clock. Unfortunately, my husband didn't realize they had charged us for it until after he had paid them.
My husband went to their location first thing Monday morning to discuss these issues. He showed the manager a side by side comparison of the melted part and a new part. He was basically told to piss off ...that the plumber had 20 yrs experience and couldn't possibly have made a mistake. We weren't refunded/credited anything for the ruined part or the smoke break charge.

If I could give them no stars... I would.

I went to a big box home improvement store hoping I'd find a tank to bowl gasket for our Eljer toilet and a 1/2" flare to 3/8" compression adapter and found neither. The plumber that works at Home.... I mean the big box store.... told me that I'd need to go to Richardson Plumbing to get the parts.

So off I went... I was greeted by a friendly guy who told me he didn't carry the gasket but the only place that might, would be Teter's. He even called over there to make sure they'd have it. I asked him about the adapter and he said, "It'd be better to just buy everything in one place.

So off I went and lo and behold, Teter's had everything I needed. Even though Richardson Plumbing didn't have what I needed, they told me exactly where I could get it. Good on you Richardson!

I'll definitely be coming back in the future!
