Steve helped us back in March when our water heater broke unexpectedly and flooded our bathroom floor. He came right away to help us out and ordered and installed our new water heater. He also installed a pan and a drain that flowed out through our crawl space so we'd be protected if something like this should ever happen again.

He also helped us swap out our very old toilet for a new HE toilet.

Steve is friendly, knowledgable, and affordable. We would absolutely call Steve if we ever need plumbing help in the future.

Steve was communicative and professional. He was able to replace our septic vent pipe that had a hole. It had been allowing smelly gases to flow back into the wall for months! He was able to find and fix it in under 2 hours. We are SO grateful for his help!

I found Steve Richards (Richards Plumbing Service) through a recommendation on NextDoor. He fixed a leaking shower/tub faucet within minutes that Gary's Plumbing said would require going through the adjacent wall to repair. Steve's bill was $146.75 vs Gary's $1500 quote. Steve was friendly, efficient and most reasonable.

We recently moved into a house where the valve that controlled the water supply to the refrigerator was stuck closed. I called Steve early in the morning to schedule a time he could come by and he was able to be here before noon. In a few minutes after arriving he opened the valve which enable the ice maker and cold water dispenser on the refrigerator to work! And the price was VERY reasonable!!! Good man!

I requested an estimate through Yelp, and Steve responded within an hour. He offered to come out the next morning to give me a quote. I have found his estimate to be very reasonable.

Since he does not seem to have a website, I went to the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries website. I was able to verify he is licensed for plumbing and his license is current.

I'm now in the process of scheduling an appointment with him to get the repair done. I will definitely update the review once the repair is done.

Steve did the job quickly and did so without having to replace another piece which saved having to drain the hot water tank. He also showed me how to use an electric fireplace in my bedroom which hadn't been used since I bought this home a year ago. Price was reasonable, not overly cheap, but less than what other plumbing companies would have charged. Plus he took less time to see me when other companies would have made me continue without hot water for more than what I preferred. Highly recommended.

Our homeowners insurance policy recommended them and he came out and said he couldn't do the job and was very rude to my brother who had ptsd. He called another company that came out professionally and did the work and when Richards called back and my brother said he already got the job done Richards reported our house to a home inspector office and now we have a lot of red tape to go through. Very poor customer service...unbelievable actually...

Steve is great. He's done some work for is previously and we have been very satisfied. But this morning we found only tepid water from the faucets. I guess with all the wind, the pilot went out in the water heater. I tried to light it myself but the wall braces covered the instructions. Go figure! And since both gas and electricity problems humble and scare me, I called Steve.
Steve walked me through the process over the phone and saved me a service fee as well as saving himself some time. I have to also mention his patience with me!
Now I can shower and start the holiday weekend right!

Steve is AMAZING! quick and helpful! This guy knows his stuff. Condo water heater install was done for us, it's in the back corner of a tight closet and he had zero issue with it. Charged what was quoted and took great care of us!! Thanks Steve!!
