I set up an appointment to have a disposal installed. I made it clear that it would be a new install and not a replacement. They quoted me $480, which I thought was a little high but since it included the unit and some rearranging of plumbing I agreed. They guy showed up and told me that the $480 was what they charge for a replacement only! To do my job would cost """"a few hundred more"""". Rip off. Bait-n-switch. Don't fall for it.

Buyer beware! If you call a plumbing and electrical service and they are immediately available be very careful! Our regular plumber was not available for several weeks and he recommended we call Richard's. We are so sorry we did. They came to our vacation property to check a slow drain in our bathroom, the technician was rude and was there 30 minutes snaking the drain twice attempting to clear the drain without success and suggesting it was a broken pipe under the slab according to the notes on the invoice. Richards technician immediately charged $242 dollars to the credit card on file for a 30 minute service without a follow-up call or any explanation to us about their attempt to fix our problem. After waiting 5 hours for a call to explain what all they had done, we called customer service for an explanation of the charge, but the supervisor talked over me, interrupted me and basically it devolved into who could talk over who the loudest. The bottom line is they have the worst customer service! They got our money for rude, crappy, over-priced service (that didn't fix or even explain the problem) and a nasty customer service rep, but I am writing about our experience in the hope they won't get yours. Buyer beware of Richard's Plumbing and Electric.

I had a backflow problem and called Richards plumbing to help. They explained over the phone will cost me $99 for them to come out and if I didn't want them to do the job that day. What they didn't explain is that was just to drive to my house in Palmetto. He then took 5 minutes to look and said he couldn't fix the problem I need a septic tank guy to fix. Handed me a bill for $158 for 5 minutes of his time! i expected that $99 would be to diagnose the problem to. I wanted to inform others, you can't make accurate choices with the wrong information.

Today Stan came in and put in new can lights on my kitchen, got my feedback on location of the lights and the did a very nice job. He cleaned up after and I would definitely use Richards's again!

I chose Richard to replace a broken water heater because they had good online reviews and a good reputation among longtime local residents. Beth in the office and Jeff who did the install we're both great to deal with. Their prices are competitive and the quality to me seemed top-notch. I will call them again for future projects and strongly recommend them.

i set to have work done with Richards Plumbing three week ago and still do not a the work done and when i call they keep given me the run around they forgot to pull the permits and the work is not done when i call today the person that answered the phone hung-up on me and said that someone would call me back but never got my number evetime i talk to someone i just sorry we made a mistake but it is there job to know when to pull permits not me

We installed a water heater, but the water heater was defective so we had to call reem customer service. It was leaking water. They recommend we call someone local and they will reimburse the fees. (Still waiting on that ) So we end up calling 4 others before calling them. They were super nice , very helpful. Honest and explain everything and gave us a choice to help us out. Transparent. We would definitely recommend this company . We had Paul but I'm pretty sure everyone there is nice. The came out the same day too. We were grateful .

Richards Plumbing has been the plumber of choice for me since 2015. No longer. 7/31/21 my toilet backed up into the shower. It was Saturday, so charge was $464. Recommended a video inspection because roots were suspected in the pipe. 8/3/21 Video inspection done. $383. Said they'd get me an estimate because yes, there were roots. 9/7/21 called and requested estimate. Told both guys on vacation. 9/14/21 Backup in shower again. Charge: $218.90 to clear. I told the technician I hoped he'd had a good vacation. He said, 'I haven't been on vacation."""" 9/20/21 Called and asked when I would get an estimate. Said I'd hear that day I've never heard back. I hired another plumbing company to do the work. And in searching for that vendor two plumbing companies did a video inspection for FREE. And I was told they never charge a customer for work caused by their not having completed the job yet. I wrote the President of Richard's Plumbing about a month ago. Haven't heard back.

3rd time I've used Richards. First time the guy put in a disposer and replaced some pipes. He was solid. He did the job and was adequate. The last two times I had Greg and Slava and they both were excellent. taking care of faucets and plumbing I'd ask for these two. Slava did really excellent work in both bathrooms. Same with Greg in iny kitchen which was a diffcukt job. Very efficient. Both are nice guys too.
