Richard recently installed a new tankless water heater in my home. I wanted, and asked for, a more powerful unit. Richard persuaded me to go with a less expensive model saving me hundreds of dollars. I am very happy with the results. He has earned my trust. In addition his customer service manners are just superb. Can't recommend him enough.

Richard is great - he came by with his crew today to install a new gas-line and washer/dryer in my home. I actually had my phone on silent because I'm a Luddite and missed his call four times (an apparently a knock on the door). I was horrified and apologized, but Richard didn't even seem too mad about it - he came anyways and did a great job and even helped me with a little issue with my gas stove connection free of charge. His rate was very reasonable and he got the job done in just a handful of hours.
I will absolutely be calling Richard's Plumbing and Heating for any plumbing/gas issues I have in the future, and would highly recommend him to anyone.

We were lucky to have Richard and team's help with both plumbing and heating issues we had with our house. Richard replaced a gas wall heater (with a lower bid, more detailed estimate and same-week speed), has plumbed drainage lines and created a washer/dryer hookup. He was very fast, pragmatic, approachable and has very fair rates.

It's often useful to understand how contractors respond when things _don't_ go a perfectly as you'd hope. Richard and team installed shut-off valves for our washer/dryer hookup, but when we went to turn them on, they leaked. He responded to our call immediately, sent instructions if we wanted to check it ourselves (we didn't - were afraid we'd strip them and start a flood!), and then fixed them on the next business day. He was apologetic about the problem, responsive and reinforced his trustworthiness when fixing the problem.

We're really happy to have finally found a reliable ""go to"" resource for plumbing (and have used about five other contractors in the ten years we've owned our house) - Richard is a gem.

These guys are great. I hired them to install a new tankless water heater, plus run a gas line to my fireplace for a new fireplace insert. Things were a little rocky at first, since Richard was struck ill and had to postpone the install date, but he made it up to me by installing a earthquake value, free of charge. Richard is one of the friendliest contractors I've had to work with so far, very amiable. And the other workers that came for the job were also very polite. They did good work, and even looked into some other small plumbing issues I had while they were here. Highly recommended.

Richard Grodecki and his crew are without a doubt the best service providers I've worked with over my 7+ years as a homeowner. Yes, Richard's estimate was a bit lower than the other estimates I received, and that was nice. But more important for me was that he was thorough in his recommendations & suggested improvements to the placement of my furnace and duct work that gave me options I didn't even know were possible and that helped me to reclaim much appreciated space in my basement. His team was a pleasure to work with. They were prompt, courteous, did a great job cleaning up, and (like Richard) were wonderful about going the extra mile to improve on their work (a light switch in the basement where there was none, an extra light to brighten things up, more clean-up than they really should have felt obligated to do). I highly recommend them and I am so glad that, thanks to Yelp, I was able to find Richard in the first place. Top notch professionals all the way!

Last year we were having issues with air flow through one of our heating ducts. Two other heating contractors said that we had to replace our furnace or add a separate heater. Only Richard said that he could re-do the duct work. Sure enough he was the right! Last week, our ducts needed adjusting. Richard sent his crew over, and they fixed it in 40 minutes. No charge. Wow, if you are looking for quality and integrity, Richard & his crew are the ones to call

Richard Grodecki and his crew are the best! I had 5 contractors coming in for a bid and Richard made the best impression, he explained patiently what he was going to do and he came out as the one contractor with the best solutions. Well he did not disappoint since. His crew is also very knowledgable and were pleasant to work with. They came on time every day and completed the job on time. In the process they also fixed some things at my house that they know were hard for to me do and easy for them so they did it without even mentioning. When I saw it fixed later they said: O yes that was easy and this looks much better now. Of course no extra charge. Richard is kind and humble but also very professional. During the final inspection the Oakland city inspector mentioned: I usually don't pass a heating system the first time, only 1 in 10. Well, needless, we passed the first time!
And his results are great: I am sitting here writing this review with finally no chill in my bones. The new heater is rumbling sweetly in the back ground and I know sure that for the next five years I need not to worry because Richard offers the longest warranty from all contractors. As he said himself, he trusts his work and his crew and therefor offers this extended warranty.
I would even go as far to suggest that if you can't get on Richards schedule soon for new heating to wait it out. Put on some extra sweaters for now because Richards heating work is worth the wait.

Richard installed a new furnace in our small cottage, and we were very pleased with his reasonable price (there were no surprise charges), the quality and neatness of the work done by Richard and his crew, and by the little extras he threw in (repairing the lock on our garage door and also fixing our bathroom sink). On top of all that, he's very personable and a pleasure to shoot the breeze with! We recommend him highly, and we will have him back to do some plumbing work in the next year.

Richard and his crew, Daniel and Hector, just completed the installation of my new heating system. I can say they are true professionals. From concept to complete, Richard exceeded my expectations for the job. Our initial consultation was very detailed. He discussed all options, educated me on the process and products and encouraged me to do my due diligence and have other HVAC contractors come and price the job. Richard was kind and not pushing for a quick sale. I knew right then he was the guy for the job. His guys Daniel and Hector were on time everyday and worked efficiently and cleanly. I had a family engagement on the last day of the job. I told Richard a day ahead and told me they could finish early so we could make it to our event. Sure enough, they were done by 2pm on the last day. I highly recommend Richard's Plumbing and Heating for your HVAC or plumbing work.
