Based on its excellent reviews, I called the company this morning and got an outgoing message to text Rob. So I did. Explained that I had a sluggish toilet that plunging didn't help. He texted back & asked how long I'd been having the problem. I said several months or longer.
Then...crickets. Flake.

Rob solved my water hammer problem without ripping up my entire bathroom. With each fork in the road he brought me recommendations, answered all my questions in a way that I could understand, walked me through what I could expect, and then executed to plan. I'm giving Rob and RG England 5 stars even though they never came to the house! They deserve it! Over Christmas weekend (it's ALWAYS a holiday or weekend), we had a leaky pipe in the ceiling and even though they were off for Christmas, he responded to my texts and photos and was the one who spotted that my problem might be HVAC drain related due to a recent maintenance on the unit. I called the HVAC people who did the maintenance and he was right! They repaired the problem but the credit goes to RG England and Rob! Thanks!

In the past few weeks I began hearing a thumping sound in my walls and realized it was plumbing related when I opened the water shutoff cabinet in my garage and noticed that there was vibration in exposed pipes that coincided with the noise. I knew I needed an experienced plumber, so I contacted RG England for the first time this morning. RG responded immediately, through text, asking me a few questions and then advising that I bleed the air out of my system, by shutting off the water, opening every single faucet until all water was out of the system, and then turning water back on and shutting valves first on bottom floor and then on second floor. So far I have not heard the thumping. I really appreciate RG's willingness and responsiveness to help over the phone! I can imagine others would have charged me for an appointment just to tell me the same thing.

Rob showed up within 2 hours to repair a piece of leaking copper pipe. He quoted me a price over the phone. He is the kind of guy who isn't going to mince words and is going to tell you what you need him to do because he wants to get it done and he is a pro. He's not going to wear a mask and booties, but he is going to get the job done right for a fair price. I had a good conversation with him about how some other large plumbing companies are really just scam artists posing as plumbers. He's the real deal and I will always call him first now.

He's great at assessing and explaining different possibilities and options, and he never upsells. He focuses on his job, works neatly and efficiently, and charges very fairly. It's not often that you get to say that calling a plumber was a great experience, but that's what today was. My hot water heater went out, and the pilot light wouldn't relight. I called RG to see if they could help, and he called GE for me to see if the heater was under warranty (it wasn't) and gave me options. He spent about 30 minutes texting back and forth with me, asking for pictures of the heater, calling GE. When I mentioned that my spa also didn't heat, he realized that my gas somehow shut off at the earthquake shut off valve. Once I reset it, the water heater fired right up. And I didn't have to pay a cent. RG didn't try to make a house visit just to get a fee. He walked me through it all on the phone, saved me some money, and helped me learn a new trick. Will definitely be calling him for my future plumbing needs. Thanks!
